Perhaps Akiviili started traveling in time as well exploring through the imaginary tree and discovered the universe was whiped out in the future and is now trying to save it? The Aeon Finality that "comes from the future" is Akivili the missing aeon that time traveled and came back now known as finality? So many crazy theories with time travel 🙃😎

I think the traveler from genshin got to do something with the express or Pegana (the world where Akivilli is from) and that I think the trailblazer is an aeon who died and had a rebirth that not the trailblaze.
Now hear me out, I think it'd make more sense if we're terminus than akivili, maybe our future self traveled back to help their past self change outcomes.

I think its at least very likely that we're an emanator of finality, from what Elegy has been telling us and the way that Elio and the others treat us.
Now another fun theory is that our narrator is actually Elio everytime we have an inner monologue with that voice we're actually interacting with Elio.
Lastly just something qe know for a fact: Not only was our body rendered immune to stellaron corruption by an aeon we are also using pieces of the body pf one as ascension materials, which now is to be very likely to be from terminus...but how is pompom giving them to us?
Also isn't it weird how the trailblazer has the idle animation of catching a weird descending star in their palm before it dissipates?
Oh also Elegy straight up mentioned that we're likely also a pathblazer of finality

Here is my giant crackpot theory:
We, the players, are Akivili The Aeon of Trailblaze. I'm not talking about Caelus and Stelle, I'm talking about us the players in real life.
We have many names. Ai Hyperion calls us "Time" and "The Singularity of Time". In Anti-Entropy novel, Benjamin Franklin (in the form of an $100 bill) described that there are beings in the 11th dimension that are so powerful, that Honkai isn't even a concern to them. Instead, these beings are much more interested in observing "the ripples of destiny". We can theorize that this 11th dimensional being is referring to us.
Benjamin's lines meant nothing for the longest time, up until Ai Hyperion described us as beings who can create "new timelines" or "alternative universes" at will. Think about it, for players who only play a Hoyoverse game for 10 days, they created a "10 day" universe; For veteran Hoyoverse players, their universe might be "6 years old". With each player joining or leaving, a "universe" is born or dies from our "observation". Benjamin's words: "these beings are much more interested in observing the ripples of destiny," simply means that we the players are playing the games to see the stories, in other words, to see the DESTINY unfolds. Additionally, Ai Hyperion also stated that we love to strive for finding "destiny" or "stories" that "reaches a beautiful ending" or "a best outcome". I think you know where I am going with this.
In Hi3rd Part 2, Vita and Ai Hyperion' conversation implied that the main character Dreamseeker, being a Star Whisperer (Data copy of a human born from the Sea of Quanta), is an attempt at achieving a "Trinity", in an attempt to utilize the power of "Time" (which is us, the power to change Destiny), and "False God" (Otto, being a slave to the Imaginary Tree, is a False God, so we can assume this means the power of the imaginary energy can be considered a False God's power).
This means, Dreamseeker is a Trinity of 1. A Vessel (The Son) - Dreamseeker's body, which are formed of data copied from within the Sea of Quanta; 2. A higher entity who can change fate (The Holy Spirit) - which is us the players, our viewpoint is anchored to the protagonist, through which we exercise our power as 11th dimensional beings to unfold the story. 3. An obtainable power from within that universe, preferably the strongest one (The Father) - In this case, it's The Imaginary (Tree's energy).
FUNNY ENOUGH, the Trailblaze is almost an ONE TO ONE formula of this EXACT concept (keep in mind, this just a crackpot theory):
1. A vessel - Trailblazer's body created from Data, maybe even constructed with the help of Silverwolf's aether editing - check.
2. A "spirit" - The Trailblazer houses a stelleron, which can SENSE wishes of beings and manifest them. The stelleron was prepared for US THE PLAYERS. As 11th dimensional beings, our WISH to see the story through, to unfold destiny; Our wish for characters to avoid tragic fate, to not see Himeko die a second time, etc. - ARE PICKED UP by the stelleron. We are tethered, to the Honkai Star Rail's universe, by using the Stelleron as an Anchor. The Trailblazer is out POV and we observe "the ripples of destiny" THROUGH the trailblazer, as stated by Benjamin in Anti-Entropy novel. Just like how our powers are converged and manifested through the Captain in HI3rd, our power to alter destiny, to TRAILBLAZE, is manifested through the TRAILBLAZER.
3. A "Father" - An obtainable power from within that universe, preferably the strongest one(s). This is why we are "collecting" Path. Do you remember? Each Aeon dictates over A PORTION of IMAGINARY ENERGY within the IMAGINARY SPACE that corresponds to their philosophical concept. By collecting as many Paths as we can, the trailblazer is gaining access to a LARGER and LARGER PORTION of imaginary energy within the imaginary space of Honkai Star Rail universe. Which I'd assume will become CRUCIAL when we eventually CHANGE the fate of the universe against Nanook's destruction. Because remember, remember how Otto created a new timeline? it REQUIRES A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT of ENERGY. I can only assume we require even more energy if we were to change the entire HSR universe's FATE.
How us being Akivili explains the story:
1. We the players, who are Time, 11 dimensional beings, are Akivili The Aeon of Trailblaze. This can explain why we are closest to the mortals. Why we, unlike other Aeons, mingle with mortals and are amiable. It's because we are literally the players. This also explains our power to change fate, to unfold destiny, to trailblaze an outcome that avoid "bad ends". This also can explain why our portraits/Aeon design are not revealed, because we don't have one (obviously they could release an actual portrait in the future, by which point this theory will just be a madman's raving lol). As for how we "died" previously, it can be explained by saying that we were already satisfied with our previous "trip" or "observation of the story", so we left this universe, someaeon could have attempted to kill us, or we tried to save the day, and using this chance to make our exit off the stage. We've only come back again several Amber Eras later to see a new story, a new "ripple in destiny". Perhaps Elio enticed us to come back after he discovered our identity through his vision, Drawing our Gaze back into the HSR universe.
2. This also can explain why Sampo looked at us and broke the fourth wall when he talked at the end of the belobog arc. Due to Aha's power, he probably knows that a group of higher dimension observers are always watching the story.
3. Some may ask, wouldn't it be bad that the Stelleron senses the players' wishes? and manifest the wishes in twisted forms that brings disasters? To this, my theory can say that: because we are higher dimensional beings who literally can change fate by ourselves, the stelleron probably neither have the energy or the capacity to realize our wish. In fact, I think we are the reason why it was contained inside within the trailblazer and being very docile. The stelleron is just there serving as as our anchor, our POV camera, so we can se through the trailblazer's eyes.
4. By combining the power of Trailblaze (us, the ability to change fate), all the other Paths that we collected (Imaginary energy), and The power of Finality (Finality is Origin, Origin is Finality, representing a kind of rebirth, a new beginning. The ability to travel backwards in time, backwards along the tree of existence means we can travel back to the ROOT of the current Imaginary Tree, to create a NEW Tree trunk using the massive imaginary energy, a new timeline where Nanook DIDN'T BORN, and keep the Path of Destruction's Aeon seat EMPTY (You can't erase Destruction, but you can keep that portion of imaginary energy ownerless on the tree of existence).
I think You are on to something, but I don't Know if Hoyo will really break the fourth wall entirely.

3:20 The another reasoning is that we as Trailblazer would be easily swayed by our memories and past experiences while 'making a choice we won't regret' and to further prove this Black Swan greatly gives us importance in the behalf of 'Garden of Recollection'. It proves that we are a blank slate with nothing, only our consciousness as a 'clone'.

My theory was different. Kafka still left some memmory about her.
At leas to me, elio might did it, so he can observe the future using stelaron inside us and erasing our memmory might help him regain his ability while keeping MC within arms length by letting the express carry them instead. According to firefly, elio future sight was centered and expand around spesific stellarons and for some reason MC appearance affecting his ability. I will include firefly in game quote.
Firefly:"Elio's scripts used to revolve and expand around certain specific Stellarons. But with your appearance, this condition has apparently ceased to be appropriate. Perhaps, he also saw the 'impossible' in the future."
In Kafka quest when the trailblazer ask her about themselves, the truth is that they were an artificial body created for the purpose of holding a Stellaron and I think they were created by Elio after studying firefly who is also an artificial lifeform

Possible. But it sounds like Kafka is talking to someone in Firefly's 3rd character story which could be the Trailblazer (Why would Elio need an explanation of what Firefly was?). We know the Trailblazer followed Kafka the longest according to Blade, which implies they were around before him and at least around the time Firefly was found. The new body could be as such.

I think there is more to the relationship between Akivili and Terminus. Trailblaze discovers boundaries while finality locks them in and gives them meaning. I think this is in direct competition with the preservation and destruction which also have a very entangled relationship. You cannot have one without the other. MC may actually be the core of Akivili if Terminus had to absorb Akivili to take on the amber lord and destruction. We just had an entire story arc of this being possible with Harmony and Order. This story may get wild before its all said and done.
Trailblazer is HSR's version of thanos XD- we need to have all paths to snap destruction out of existance

I really want Trailblazer to get a path that synergizes well with Kafka too (its implied they were long-time partners). I would love if there Nihility path is something like throwing extra Dots on enemies or auto-extending them so they can trigger multiple times. Wonder if it'll be Quantum or something else? Abundance I can see being either wind or Ice while Lightning I think will be Hunt (don't have any Hunt lightning yet).
Playing 3rd would give a lot of people playing HSR an understanding of Finality and how it will affect this world and how welt yang understands more than he lets on

i have an idea: we are elio, this is part of a "fine i'll do it myself" plan.
I have my suspicions on Pom Pom, of all people. Pom Pom was present during and before Mikhail's era as an Crewmember, both cohorts pre-dating the crash and reincarnation of the Express by HImeko. Further, when speaking to Jade, she responds to the request to return Akivilli by demanding Pom Pom's tail as payment. What does Jade know? Why is Pom Pom related to Akivilli's disappearance and possible return?
Also, I think the new vignettes in the Equations from the Divergent Universe are very insightful into how Aeons and Pathstriders operate. Rather than a singular focus, the Equations present world views of Pathstriders operating to adjacent paths. Propagation and Abundance, Erudition and the Hunt, etc. It could help with anchoring concepts like the Stellaron Hunters following the path of Finality, while also Nihility and Destruction.
All in all, great video. Looking forward to more!
For the Hunters themselves (besides just gameplay reasons) they don't actually follow Finality, but rather Elio as he has promised them what they want most. Kafka wants to experience fear (largely something tied to us if her saying we're her destiny is any indication), Blade wants Death, Silverwolf 'fun', and Firefly wants a meaning/means to live. I'd like to think by the end though (given how close they all seem to each other, and the Trailblazer) even if their deals are concluded, they'll be with us for the final confrontation.
It's basically confirmed that Trailblazer predates Firefly in the Stellaron Hunter roster (it's subtle but they cameo in FF's character story 3, literally just out of view). I, for one, am a big fan of the idea that Elio sent Trailblazer to bring the recruitment offer to Kafka (a mysterious yet-unaccounted messenger in Kafka's character story 4).
As for selecting the TB's body, there's really no evidence that the character selection is 'canon' - Blade recognizes you as you are now, saying that you fought by Kafka side by side and were incredibly close with her. His muddled memories probably would have no chance to make this connection if you were unrecognizable. Maybe she just had to select the 'correct' person to confirm destiny is on-track? Dunno, just don't think the other Trailblazer vessel exists until actual textual evidence occurs implying there are two of them.

-- Kafka is describing the history of Glamoth to TB, approaching a door where FIrefly is waiting. This fits Kafka's description of her role as someone who taught TB general knowledge, since there's no other SH's at this point, and she hasn't entered the room yet so she's not talking to Firefly. 'a predetermined fate... much like ours, wouldn't you agree?' is what gives it away, since TB and Kaf's destinies are intertwined.
At any rate TB seems to stay out of the room when Kafka walks in to talk to Firefly, though.

I personally think Pom-Pom is an emanator of the Trailblaze (hence why he is connected to the express). If we are the spirit of Akevili, it would explain our goofy actions (the dream bubble with Pom-Pom implies Akevili was pretty silly himself as well as impulsive)
Hello really love your videos and theories I'm a Honkai Impact 3rd player and I like to share all of you HSR players some information I've gathered regarding Terminus the Finality because as a Honkai Impact 3rd player.
He is a familiar friend and a deadly threat and yes the pronounce it used for itself is He/Him not They/Them
Maybe to understand the Finality we should analyze the Finality in Honkai Impact for clues. Yet i think destruction is the breaking of connections and trailblaze is the forming of connection. The reason for the trailblaze to connect the aeons for the war with nanook Kavka been talking about. Kinda as march talk about when we read a story we connect with the characters and want the best for that character. What is that the point of having the aeon to look on us is to get them invested in the story to act in the critical moment.
i hope elio will be playable in the future

I like the theory of Akivili and Finality being the same entity. And I have a theory. What if Elio's vision of the destruction of everything wasn't because Nanook succeeded, but it was the remains of the battle that went on after the battle against Nanook. For all that we know, Nanook can maybe blow up every Stellaron he planted and the universe would be destroyed. What if, Akivili knowing this, travelled back in time and devised the plan of creating a new Aeon (just like you said), but its not to battle Nanook, but rather to cancel Nanook, an Aeon that when created, cannot coexist with Destruction and the stronger one can instantly poof the other Aeon. As far as we're seeing, we already have a few Aeons that could be on our side. Another thing is, if the aeon creation theory is wrong, then i go by the theory that Finality or Akivili is not trying to kill Nanook, but is trying to cancel whatever havoc or destruction he can bring.
Fun theory: Elio being Akivili is a possibility
2 things i'd like to say.
1. Perhaps to trailblaze one needs to tread the paths before to then go on to create a new path. i.e. I need to tread a path that already exists to get to the end before forging a new one. So perhaps this is what Akivili is doing via the trailblazer. If they are the trailblazer I mean. They realised they must walk the other aeon's paths before being able to make new paths? I'm sure Himiko mentioned the astral express' route is all the places akivili has been before because of the metaphorical train tracks. IDK. I thought it was an interesting idea.
2. In HI3 the opposing force to finality is origin. Raiden Mei is the herscherr origin and Kiana Kaslana is the one of Finality. Perhaps in this universe the trailblazer is meant to become the aeon of origin. As in rebirth of the universe after Nanook's destruction. Perhaps by giving their gazes to the trailblazer, the Aeons are cementing themselves as peices of the origin, allowing themselves to be reborn. Elysia (another HI3 character) also was the Herscherr of origin too and managed to save their world for the next generation to stand a fighting chance. In her cutscene she manages to use the collective powers of the 12 MOTHs to kill the herscherr of corruption and allows the 12 flamechasers to be 'reborn' in a sense in the Elysian realm. (not real life). I can see some parallels here.
It would be cool if Elio's vision of Finality mean Terminus' birth spells the end of the universe we know, and thus needs a new Aeon (representing many paths) to restart the universe after its end.
That comment you made about this being our plan possibly reminds me of the dark urge from BG3, the plot of the game being orchestrated by them and Gortash, and maybe it's similar here. Perhaps the mc knew they had to wipe their memories for this path to eventually work out, and once we have interactions with elio we could potentially get some more clarity on that, which could be really interesting.
I would recommend checking more info regarding the imaginary tree, Sea of Quanta, Akivili's and the express travel methods. I think those might explain the possible conection between trailblaze and Finality.

With the Finality vision mechanic for early access. The game tells us that Finality is the Antithesis of the Trailblaze. Likely because they go backwards from the Destination and follow a fixed path that happened. Trailblaze follows is about Forging your own path to a Destiny you aren't certain.
Perhaps Akivili really has the power to change the Final Destination since the Trailblaze has guven them so much freedom that they are Human Gremlins than an Aeon.
If akivili uses the Imaginary Trea and Sea of Quanta to travel; it's technically possible for him to Time travel (as it's possible to do so through the tree).
We can also take what Acheron says too. "There are many things humans can't change, but also many thing that we can. And in the end, the ending will have a different meaning". Maybe the overall outcome is set, but how we achieve it and what shape it takes can be changed.

The loop that I'm stuck on with the mc is Akivili theory is that it doesn't make aton of sense to me for Akivili to join the Stelleron Hunters unless it was just a plan directly with Elio exept we clearly have a history with the other members, but at the same time it doesent make sense to go out of your way to place some random nobody in a stelleron sealing body for the grand plan so we where clearly someone important. I enjoyed the video, this is one of my favorite topics in the story atm!

I think it's certain that we were a Stellaron hunter, after all we have a file in the game showing someone recruiting Kafka and that someone wasn't Élio since he was providing the information to the person recruit Kafka

I had a similar thought with trailblazing a new path where the universe doesn't end how it did on a previous "run through" of it. And so far the MC has paths that facilitate trailblazing. Destroying all obstacles, preserving those things that need to persist, and the Harmony to bring the universe together along the new rails.
But what I’m wondering is what is the Trailblazer’s relationship with Kafka like. According to Kafka they are each other’s destiny and can change one another.
It's clear by her companion quest that she wants us to like her (she's disappointed if your reply negatively to her, also she can't seem to lie to your face during that quest, she doesn't make eye contact when she's fibbing) and with Blade's words we were the closest to her ('She'll have done much to keep you alive, young one'). I would like it if there were some optional story beats (Like Acheron's goodbye) where if you respond positively to her, you'll get some cutscenes or artwork pieces showing them having some ship-tease moments (I know everyone sees her as mommy, but that suggestive photo she sent us during the quest doesn't seem motherly but more flirty) I also point to the music festival animated short where she's clearly happy while texting us during her dress shopping.

These are very interesting points as to who we are and also the theories are interesting, I love lore and star rail is definitely making me question what is going on and what will happen in the future.
Btw just a suggestion, but could you do a video idea on what was March 7th's past? There might not be much content on it other than her companion quest, if you haven't done that yet, it's likely just a meaning that the past is the past and that it's best to move on since it will hurt her, however it's just that there's a messenger within her memories telling her to not look back into it and that her memories are locked away by an Aeon likely, and likely Fuli.
The quest has meaning but also just adds a lot of mystery as to who she used to be, saw a comment on a shorts about her quest that she could be an emanator of remembrance, and her memories reset after some time so she can enjoy another adventure without the burden of her past! Or it could be what you just hinted at the beginning lol.
It's a suggestion, you don't need to do it, but still, with March 7th's theme being ice and having her memories locked away by a literal Aeon for who knows what, and then there's Fuli who is basically ice and memory related. That and also with an interaction with the rating pistol as it gives her an invalid rating, like Acheron who is definitely confirmed to be an Emanator of Nihility.
Also sorry for spoiling a bit of March 7th's companion quest, or if you didn't really planned to do that, but still. Also just do March 7th's quest or watch a playthrough with it just in case I typed some misinfo lol ^^"
SPOILERS for 2.3 but: I found it very interesting at the end of the quest when Black Swan suggests a place to go to recharge the Express’s fuel, she says “a place where even Akivili hasn’t trailblazed to.”
My theory is that only the reincarnated version of Akivili could actually make it to this place. The question of why Akivili would go through with leaving his heart in the express and being reincarnated into the trailblazer is still up in the air. My guess to the motive is that they never wanted the destruction of the universe so the trailblazing would never end.
Though I will say that along with the aforementioned Black Swan quote, the express just so happening to land on Himeko’s planet and leading to the trailblazers’ current family on the express seems a little suspicious. Perhaps Akivili talked to Elio about how he could get back on the Express after he left it, and Elio foresaw that leaving it to Himeko would get him back on it, due to her wanting to travel the universe and meet new passengers though she had no way of doing it, if that makes sense.
(Still no clue who Pom Pom is :)
Also, supporting your theory on the Stellaron Hunters and The Express both following the path of Finality, Kafka has a voiceline to Himeko stating how “guess we’ll be working together quite often.” It seems that they both are changing the fate of the Universe, but only the Stellaron Hunters know this and the Express Crew doesn’t know this, thinking that they’re enemies.

My personal theory is that Pom Pom is an Emanator of the Trailblaze (The spirt of the express itself as he's deeply connected to it the train). He was around in the dream bubble with Akevili lecturing them. ANd multiple people like Welt and Yanqing see Pom-Pom as a fierce warrior (ignoring that it might just be comedy of them being afraid to piss Pom Pom off)

If terminus travels back in time something must have happend maybe elio is an emanator who is in contact with the aeon and he saw the destruction and terminus must travel back in time to help

elio might be akavili itself since its own journey ended they became the embodiment of finality. thats why they guide the trailblaze to the end of their own journey.
There’s also the theory that the entirety of the game is a flashback/retelling. Maybe the TB has already succeeded with their plan, and is now just chronicling their journey to aeonhood/save the universe

I think that Terminus is "helping" Elio is because it's some sort of trial. If we assume that Terminus works similar to the cocoon of finality (the cocoon being an extension of him) then it would make sense that he's doing this to force us to evolve. Remember that what finality seeks is to embrace humanity forcing them to adapt, in HI3rd if humanity failed then the Herrscher of the end just created another cycle again and again until they could adapt or overcome Honkai, maybe something similar happens here, Elio and in extension Terminus are forcing us to "overcome" or "adapt" Nanook's influence

So theories regarding FINALITY right now is that JARILO-VI might be experiencing a EMBRACE of finality which is not good
Many Reasons is that One, Sampo took the effort by tolerating sparkles requests in order to retrieve his mask and sparkle did gave us a hint about belobog current situation and why she said that was probably due to the script given to her by elio as payment, Two finality has been mentioned time and time again in the penacony arc about time and clocks and the last one is the current new permanent game mode apocalyptic shadow which was all about finality.
What are the factors that lead to this theory being implemented by me:

I'm starting to think that the Trailblazer might be the Finality themselves. And that the reason Finality and Destruction exist at the same time is that Elio's script is for Finality to overtake and replace Destruction.

I won't be surprised if, once again, like what Ena did, Xipe(Harmony) asks Qlipoth to fight against Nanook later down the story along side other Aeons if Xipe can't convince Nanook to coexists/be in harmony with everyone else.
I personally think an Aeonic war is coming (Either against Nanook, or all Aeons in a free for al, its is implied by Jade that they want allies for the Preservation) and Terminus represents this end of the universe. Maybe seeing this, Elio decided they needed to make an Aeon that represents multiple paths to start a new universe, or at least salvage most of this one.
I think the trailblazer is th 1st SH and elio see him fighting nanook bcs of that he discovered to find a good plan that have more chance to succeed and then he wiped the trailblazer memory and i think that bcs in beginning of the game when kafka asked silver wolf how many will remember she answered he'll remember you at least and when the trailblazer woke up, you can as palyer choose one of 3 choices and one of them he'll say "kafka" i think he is one of 2, he is the 1st SH or he is akavili in another form after seeing the end of universe and this a second timeline and i prefer the second one bcs when he take the path of distraction in the beginning we can see a few things from the future and maybe it's his memory from the original timeline. It'd be cool if Elio and the Trailblazer were close friends before this all happened and all of Elio's plan (assuming he is an unwilling emanator) is all to save his friend the Trailblazer.
It also seems like all of Elio's prophecies seemed to revolve around a Stellaron (according to Firefly in 2.2), hence maybe they had the MC implanted with one to expand his range of future sight.

Meanwhile, Finality and Destruction exist at the same time because Elegy (the new gamemode puppet) told us Finality is as much a beginning than it is an ending, everything goes from a Finality to an other one, immortality will wither, light arrows will dim, destruction will be destroyed. While Destruction is just about destroying everything even itself.
The Hunters themselves don't follow Finality but Elio due to the deals they struck with him. Kafka wants fear (somehow linked to us), Blade wants death, Firefly a meaning to live/life itself, and Silverwolf wants 'fun'.

I think I like the idea that elio is terminus and you are akivili, and they are working together to stop nanook.
It might explain how you predate Sam and Kafka, as well as other things like the disappearance of akivili and your ability to house a stellaron, go on different paths, and why you needed your memory erased in order to go onto different paths.

I personally think she's a physical Memo-keeper. At the end of the Movie making mini-game Black Swan mentions she knows a memo-keeper who collects memories with photos. And we know March is somehow connected to the Garden of Recollections.

I think when the final showdown with Nanook happens, Akivili will have to be revived for us to stand a chance of winning.
I don't think the trailblazer is Akivili himself, but possibly an Emanator of the Trailblaze. Certainly something more than human as even Herta is miffed as to how a human could contain a stellaron and not be dead very quickly.
About the aeon theory maybe we are gonna be the aeon of possibility since each time we visit a planet we get new paths also mc kinda breaking the fourth wall

You have the choice to remember her, though, at least in the dialogue choice I'm thinking of at Herta station. Not recognizing her is one of three choices, one of them being "Kaf... ka?" (which Kafka is clearly heartwarmed by) and the other just being total bafflement

The one thing I'm wondering is what kind of stellaron disaster we will be. We have seen in Penacony that stellaron disasters can take many forms. What is the price the Astral Express will pay to have us travel with it?
It'd be cool if you actually manage to use it in gameplay like a massive aoe that damages everything (making it high risk high reward). And I'm of the opinion that a Stellaron is necessary to ascend to be and Aeon (they seem to grant wishes, twisted as they are) and maybe all the disasters are a result of individuals not having the will to truly control them. If the Aeon's represent certain views, there mentalities must have been so strong that fundamental concepts bend to their whims.
So Elio's scripts only knowing the end result explains the Stellaron Hunters' "ends justifies the means" way of doing things. With the end result being presented to them, it is up to the Stellaron Hunters themselves to figure out how to reach that end.

This entire plot ressembles Fontaine's archon quest from Genshin a lot. The prophecy was indeed unavoidable, but because of Focalors plan, some details changed and all fontainians were saved. It's the same for Elio's plan to save the universe. As you said, the destruction of the universe will come, but little parts of the context will make sure this destruction won't completely turn the universe into nothingness. I'm pretty sure this is were the Remembrance comes into play, with the Garden collecting memories everywhere, and that would explain why they are keenly interested in the Trailblazer's memories.
Elio cannot plan for us to "collect" the path like stones because the blessing seems to be given by the Aeon. Like in Belobog and Penacony, both times we got the power of the path is when the Aeon looks upon us and bestows us the blessing. Trailblazer gender choice means nothing as well, its just for players choice. I'm more to the headcanon that you are related to Akivili or Nanook. My first time seeing Nanook I thought he looked like Caelus a little. Plus you start with Destruction path as well. So I thought he's just a fragment of Nanook which was taken by Elio as part of the "future".
Honestly, I hoped we don’t become an Aeon. Emanator, I'm okay with, but I see that become an Aeon is a fate worse than death. I'd rather continue trailblazing as a moral than be some powerful god.
Lore Bomb: Akhivili's Navigator in Astral Express became the first founder and first faction of finality when Akhivili died.
Since Akhivili's goal of Trailblaze was to reach the end of the imaginary tree, he probably fulfilled the goal and since Akhivili's goal was fulfilled, he had no path to walk so he became Finality by consuming Trailblaze.
So maybe we needed to wipe our memory to follow the path of Trailblaze which we actually know is consumed in Finality.
Imo the Final villain isn't Nanook, nor Terminus. It's Hooh the Equilibrium, the Aeon that fused it's will into the logic of the universe.
2 detail that most theory crafter missed:
1. Mc did also got a glimpse of future multiple time. First is when stelaron become unstable after they shield march from doom beast beam attack. Before recieving nanook gaze, they saw multiple shard consisting snip of Jarilo VI future event including bronya. This detail make me suspect, that mc being elio untill it was debunked. Other glimpse into future case was right before entering golden hour. MC did saw snip of penacony future like encounter with meme Dormancy from TV and misha.
2. Firefly mention that elio future sight was centered around specific stellaron and for some reason, MC appearance affecting elio ability. Here is her quote in game

Remember when someone becomes an aeon they lose their individuality and only act in ways they support their concept. Besides if she were the aeon of beauty then wouldn’t Friggen argenti notice? It's weird how no one questions the Stellaron inside our body. All Stellarons have been very destructive or detrimental to worlds that it inhabits so what about the stellaron inside us? Why this specific Stellaron that the Stellaron Hunters had to infiltrate the Herta Space Station at the right opportunity?
I also keep getting reminded of what the lady, whos name I forgot, that followed The Finality said. (new endgame mode) More specifically: "Destruction is not spared from destruction."
This could be me overthinking it but what if we (who attracted Nanook's gaze at the start of the game) are the destruction that can put an end to Nanook? Although if that's the case, they have to kill us too.
Edit: sigh now that I think about it, it's obv we are the one to kill Nanook. Although if we are "destruction" meant to destroy "destruction," then we need to die too.

IX knows the aeon of finality too dunno how but I just thought of it since IX is basically embodiment of "being depressed / not having a reason in life" now I question how did the aeon of nihility became that its probably because he/she knows the destiny of the universe and didn't want to fight it so IX become an aeon without a care in the world now.
