    Which Foods Help With Blood Flow and Circulation?
    Foods high in nitrates, such as leafy greens, beets, and celery, play a crucial role in promoting vasodilation, the widening of blood vessels, which leads to increased blood flow. Nitric oxide, a compound derived from these foods, helps relax and dilate blood vessels, reducing resistance and allowing blood to flow more easily. Omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish like salmon, chia seeds, and flaxseeds are renowned for their anti-inflammatory properties, which can positively impact blood vessel function.
    Pomegranates for Blood Flow
    Pomegranates are rich in antioxidants, particularly polyphenols such as punicalagins and anthocyanins. These compounds have been shown to combat oxidative stress and reduce the effects caused by free radicals in the body.
    Beetroot Juice for Blood Flow
    Beets are rich in nitrates, which the body can convert into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator, meaning it relaxes and widens blood vessels. By promoting the production of nitric oxide, beets help improve blood vessel function, reduce resistance, and enhance blood flow.
    Onions for Blood Flow
    Onions are rich in quercetin, a flavonoid with antioxidant properties. Quercetin has been associated with potential cardiovascular benefits, including improved blood vessel function. It helps promote the dilation of blood vessels, facilitating better blood flow.
    Garlic for Blood Flow
    Garlic contains allicin, a sulfur compound that is released when garlic is crushed or chopped. Allicin has been associated with various cardiovascular benefits, including its ability to promote vasodilation-the widening of blood vessels.
    Cayenne Pepper for Blood Flow
    Capsaicin, the active component in cayenne peppers, has been shown to promote vasodilation-the widening of blood vessels. This is achieved by stimulating the release of nitric oxide, a compound that helps relax and dilate blood vessels. Improved vasodilation enhances blood flow by reducing resistance in the blood vessels, allowing for more efficient circulation.
    Curcumin for Blood Flow
    The endothelium, the inner lining of blood vessels, plays a crucial role in regulating blood flow. Curcumin has been shown to enhance endothelial function by promoting the production of nitric oxide, a compound that relaxes and dilates blood vessels.
    Fatty fish for Blood Flow
    Omega-3 fatty acids play a role in promoting vasodilation-the relaxation and dilation of blood vessels. This helps reduce resistance in the vessels, allowing for improved blood flow.

I’ve cut out processed foods, avoiding larger meals closer to bedtime, and getting 3-4 Liters of water. I am currently working on sleep quality, and getting my vitamin D levels up. It’s a process.

    I love your delivery of information. I'd be really interested in hearing your thoughts on how much percentage of an active ingredient our skin actually absorbs? For example, if I have a 10% vitamin c serum, how much of that is actually absorbed and used? Thank you for your time!

    • @ArsalanAspires
      @ArsalanAspires  6 месяцев назад +3

      That’s an excellent question. It’s hard to say because Vitamin C absorption through the skin greatly depends on the pH of the Vitamin C application and the stability. Since the skin is slightly acidic, the serum too needs to be as well. A pH below 4 is more ideal. Yes, the concentration will matter too. Higher concentrations will likely lead to excess Vitamin C being transported from the tissues into the blood where it will eventually be filtered out and excreted in urine.
      You don’t necessarily absorb more with a higher percentage. Maximum absorption is higher at 20% though. The hard part is getting it past the stratum corneum. Ferulic acid and vitamin e help stabilize it too, lots of factors involved.

      @@ArsalanAspires Dr. Arsalan, I have a follow up question if you don't mind? I've been looking at my options for a vitamin c serum and I have seen that the Inkey List vitamin c serum, while it is a high percentage, it doesn't have a PH since it is waterless. They recommend mixing it with a serum or moisturizer, their Omega Water Cream is my favourite and it has a PH of 5. Will the vitamin c still be effective when mixed with this moisturizer?

    • @Remind_me_to_pray
      @Remind_me_to_pray 6 месяцев назад

      Sounds like you're using way too many products with salicylic acid in them. You only really need one. Otherwise you run the risk of over exfoliating. Purging can occur when using BHA's because it's the acids nature to encourage and increase cell turn over. Your skin barrier may be damaged as well and sometimes that can manifest as small pimples.
      I'm not a professional and I am not speaking for Dr. Arsalan, but I speak from experience of having over exfoliated which ruined my skin barrier- use one product that has SA in it. For one week, use only a gentle cleanser and a gentle non active moisturizer and see how your skin feels afterwards. Then you can introduce ONE product with SA in it 2-3 times a week.

      The anti-inflammatory effects of ginger have been linked to reducing pain and the vasodilatory effects to lowering blood pressure, as seen in this research:

      Ginger also plays a role by promoting more fluid consistency of the blood to support unimpeded blood flow. So yes. I can make a part 2, if this gets enough likes.

    Can I take beetroot juice everyday? I am on pressure tablets.

    • @ArsalanAspires
      @ArsalanAspires  6 месяцев назад

      Individuals who are taking blood pressure-lowering medications, such as ACE inhibitors, nitrates, or other vasodilators, should be cautious about incorporating beetroot juice. A combination of both can lead to an excessive drop in blood pressure, which can result in dizziness, or other adverse effects. I would consult with your healthcare provider first, and monitor your blood pressure levels.

      Also good quality magnesium is good. Checked my BP after being on magnesium for 1 month and it was lowest
      its been in years. I have come off BP meds for about 3 days now and pressure seems fine but will monitor on a
      regular basis. Also need to start working out again, good sleep is essential and begin carnivore diet which heals
      many ailments including blood pressure and increases libido etc. Also just brought vit D3 K2.Good luck Hope this helps.

      You've done an amazing job by doing just that. So give yourself a pat on the back for that. I would speak to your doctor about your neuropathy symptoms, that is a different area of concern with its own etiology. I have spoken about neuropathy in my other videos however.

      @@ArsalanAspires Thanks I appreciate it and I will look up your videos on neuropathy as my doctor’s either say it will just keep spreading which seems to be the case but once I lost my weight they said you can keep it where it is if you keep your sugar down yet it isn’t working for me. They never give you a plan as to what to eat etc. I did all my own research just on line.
