the problem with these is they only make sense on bases that are small enough that people will actually door raid - if you put this in a larger base with peeks and stuff, they're just going to rocket the side anyway, and when they rocket any of the supporting foundations or walls, the bunker will open anyway.
they'll rocket through walls and yes your bunkered honeycomb, so when building your base, face the bunkered side of it, aways from an area someone would raid from, like an ocean or close cliff
Extra tip: place the roof that opens the bunker before placing the triangle frame on the bunker chute. Then it's impossible to place in the wrong slot :)

@Sven no worries. I was trying to point out that you gave a very simple and easy to understand explanation on the many ways of how to use the offset bunker. And I think it is an excellent alternative to the roof bunker that uses the triangle floor frame. It's easy to follow if anyone wants to build it. Keep up the good work.
Hi, i've a question for you... what happens if someone destroyes the foundation where u put the roof twig? how do u open the bunker? or how do u rebuild it so u can reopen it?
Hey , the idea is very nice , but here is a way to easily counter it : you can jack hammer the offset foundation , that cause a stability loose of floor that close the bunker. Nice vid , and continu like this bro 👍
Exactly. I had just commented the same thing. There has to be protection of the foundation which then makes the base quite a bit more complicated, and the bunker effectively useless.
im implementing this into templetaps "red room" been using his base for months, but I've been changing and implementing any and everything possible.. like with this video im gonna use this, I'll have two bunkers inside the honeycomb, one will house our sulfer and such, and the other will be tc, they'll never find tc lol
Very good video and good explanations, I also liked the editing style, but I would have liked more insights into the disadvantages. Imo, and please correct me if I am wrong, one can easily exploit the bunker by soft-side jackhammering the foundation on which the roof should be placed. Its uses for active groups is definitely there but if this is not fixable I would not recommend it for players that have the potential to get offlined.
I imagine it can be overcome by building a cap over the foundation. It would limit movement if you built a shell, but depending on your build that may just mean you utilize a different setup for your inner peakdowns and the result may limit brute-force raiding tactics.
@@fezax1875 I should have clarified. The cap would mean the bunker is unsealed at the 2nd floor, the 1st wont work anymore. You'd need to either build your first floor to utilize a more standard triangle chute bunker design (which I just tested, seems to work fine but can be finnicky to get in place without breaking this bunker concept. Keeping the bunker open via the roof tile while building seemed to fix the problem.) or just plan on your inner core only being defended by regular doors. Removing the foundation seems to break both bunkers, though, so it may be more optimal to use a second, separate chute for the first floor core to require multiple break points. Even then I'm not sure if it would actually change the raid cost, it might require some very specific honeycombing to keep pummel costs from negating the raid cost of one of the two.
I was only able to place a floor onto the triangle frame if I went 9 triangles out instead of 8. But with 8 the bunker still worked, just didn't have the helpful frame. This was on builder's sanc
On that 3x3 how would you hardseal the tc room with it. Being centered? Also are the square foundations that you place the roofs on considered part of the pain grid or do they need tc's of their own?
This is awesome. It actually works on console. I did have one question for you. So I noticed that if the square foundation is destroyed then the bunker opens. I just added another square then walled it and the one the roof goes on and made it one and 1/2 tall. Also how would you make the front door to the triangle opening. I’m sure you’ll make a build using it soon just want some idea for my next base
main problem with this type of bunker is that its soft side able, if you destroy the foundation on the half walls holding it up, it will open the bunker, as the half walls are where the magic happens so to speak. If the foundation is destroyed then the top half wall losses the support to hold the bunker floor so it brakes open. there are a couple of other problems with it, the rest would be sockets not lining up so you have missing spots for foundations like you have with floor stacking. another problem is that you have to have it on the second floor and that means most small bases with have to have a second floor to use this type. Ive been playing solo for a long time now, and I've found that most of these problems effect me in one way or the other. Tho this is tech a pixel bunker as its a pixel gap that uses socket stacking to achieve this. Its not bad but theres a better type when it comes to pixel bunkers but this is a easer way to do and easy to add to a base. Theres pro's and cons to this, so take your build style into account.
You can make the foundation HQ and I am pretty sure you can put a ramp on it to protect it and the mech still works. It makes a 2 x1 very strong and the only the zergs who would probably have enough rockets to raid it but they would prob not bother especially if it has solo locks on the doors unless your being toxic. I know it would put me off raiding a base with it. It would be too pricey and not enough reward. It would be great next to launch as a monument/chad base etc
Sven I've been using this pixel bunker for a couple of months now but this multiple floors addition is so insane! Thank you for adding this to my toolset!

6:35 you went crazy... ow. hurt my brain. EDIT: i finally got to the end. wow. nice sketch pad of ideas. edit2: yet, still they make 2X1 triangle airlocks... so sad. i still prefer evil wursts' version with no door and furnace jump up to start with. it reduces initial vulnerability. if link is needed i will do the google search for you. in essence, though, just build the same with nothing but walls. fill out with wall frame and single door. no external entrances/exits. use furnace for a jump up. be sure to have a furnace available for jump up/roof access in the triangle foundy. build as needed from there.
Can u explain the correct way to build up more floors bc when i tried it the upper floors jumpups doesnt open just still closed with the frame and the triangle
This is interesting, as it now also changes the way that raiders approach bases, cleave through, or try to target TC's and then roll the dice on if they base is using offset bunkers and placing roofs all over the base to break open potential bunker.
Can't get this to work on the UKN creative server to save my life. Dont understand what I'm missing. Are their server settings that can make this not work? It wont let me place the triangle to seal
This is a standard pixel gap socket override bunker right? Just be aware they have the possibility of permanently sealing on server restart (which is daily for a lot of servers). I used this bunker back in my Crypt video and have chosen to stay away from them since due to them being unpredictable and leaving some people with their most important loot SEALED in an HQM bunker. DutchLaws/Mr. Man/Mini Satori created this bunker (probably with some others as well) - might be nice to credit them too 🙂

The Cyrpt is great mate using it now on Xbox. I also added a stone ramp to the foundations with the 2 bunker half walls to make it harder to soft side. I am trying to build the Mini Wendigo with this bunker idea so that I have a stong early wipe base. I am using the pixel gap loot rooms in my gate houses too. The Shadow and the Mini Wendigo are great bases but the take a while to get the strong bunkers on the top. That is why I love the Crypt

2:53 i call that "15", but i go to "17". works as well. i have seen functionality with _much_ less, but i trust it that much less as well. i feel good about this video.... like i might learn something. let's see... EDIT: helpful visual tip would be to look at the lines of the tile. are they parallel with the object you are trying to connect too? if not it is wrong (this has usefulness in being raided, i hear. splash damage and numbers). about the triangle frame: HIS method is the way to go if base is built, BUT it is best to have no options for the triangle frame to go, other than where you want it to go (it gets messy sometimes when looking at pixels with 'bad' eyes, his way). IF NOT
How do you mitigate soft siding of the square outside? From my tests it shows that if the square outside where the twig is places is destroyed the bunker opens
Now I get to see these everywhere lol. I've been using them for few months now and I love adding them into my designs. I always just called them split stability bunkers tho lol
on the occasion of raiders getting the build priv - cant you place triangle hatches on the triangle floor frames for all the floors with the bunker on top of it? that way even if the raiders were to 16 rocket one side external TC they still cant get in? Just a suggestion (not sure if it actually works)
I've been trying this on a vanilla server and now I grieved my self into the base with an armored floor triangle on a 1x2. I was using only one bunker above the jump up to the second floor to make the first floor 1x2 an bunker but now it won't open even though I tested it multiple times before sealing. There might be issues with stability resetting at server restarts because I'm certain everything was placed correctly and tested.
Either it's patched now, or server restarts fuck it. Had the same thing happen to me, worked beautifully for about 48h and then log back on next day and completely unable to place floor triangles inside the floor triangle frames, RIP
This is insane. Any chance you’d create a tutorial for the 2x1 in your intro? Or any base type. I’m more or less curious about building the rest of the base. Im on console and cannot connect to building servers. Thanks a lot for the info.
It does. Not only that, locking down the softside inherently prevents you from being able to use the bunker in the first place. This is a good concept, but the moment you realize you can softside the foundation, that's all she wrote.
how do you build the bunker for the disconnectable external tc ? it's impossible to offset the square when you have to build the 15 triangles back into the base
Verry verry good but just one thing im new to bunker bases but i dont get that if i have it sealed up and i die and i respawn in my base how do i get out and if im coming back to my base with no building plan or materials how do i open it up ?
I cant figure out how you are placing the pixel glitch with the triangle instead of the square on the external tc example, could you clarify how your able to place that triangle backwards?

@@Sven_YT I saw the DutchLaws credit, I've just spoken with him a few times and he always mentions Mr. Man and Mini - I wasn't saying you didn't credit him, just that it might be nice to credit them too! Not a malicious comment, I checked the description first 🙂
Can we get a trio build using this? Something with a starter without having to do the offset part before being safe.
seems to me that this kind of build meta is going to get a major patch at some point, could be wrong tho.
It probably won't be patched since there are alot of ways to exploit and use the bunker mechanism as a raider tool
We'll see :P
IF NOT
cant wait to see your base designs you would come up with this
aay sven, congratz on ut own locker skin dude !
could you show how to expand a 2x1 in this concept like a full base build?
Check out the Mamba on my channel
How do you mitigate soft siding of the square outside?
From my tests it shows that if the square outside where the twig is places is destroyed the bunker opens
Put a metal / stone ramp on it.
This is so op. Imma build something crazy with these bunkers. Thank you! Biggest like yet on my youtube!
How do you build the external design?
@@scootersstuff if you’re unable to place triangles then the bunker works right?
@@Eymiredits no, you need to be able to place the triangles to seall the bunker
Did u remove the roof 🤣
Wouldn't softsiding that offset foundation also open all bunkers?
How would you use a base like this and have easy access? How expensive is the seal on this? Almost seems too expensive to be worth while
Bro this is easily the best bunker ever omg
This is insane. Any chance you’d create a tutorial for the 2x1 in your intro? Or any base type. I’m more or less curious about building the rest of the base. Im on console and cannot connect to building servers. Thanks a lot for the info.
Yo if this works on console could you tell me I'm away from home and no way to see if ti works would help a solo player alot
@@aka_kickassmorty9780 Yo dude, just tested this on console in testing branch and works.
@@aka_kickassmorty9780 it works
I have a duo 2x1 with this bunker. Check out the Mamba
@@paulandrew9924 thanks my duud this will help a lot
we need that 2x1 base design with it 😍
Ez raid splash to tc through a bunker. Get tc open bunks with materials easy raid.
What about softsiding the offset foundation? Won't the bunker opens instantly? Doesn't it make it useless?
It does. Not only that, locking down the softside inherently prevents you from being able to use the bunker in the first place. This is a good concept, but the moment you realize you can softside the foundation, that's all she wrote.
please make a base tutorial on the 1x2
how do you build the bunker for the disconnectable external tc ?
it's impossible to offset the square when you have to build the 15 triangles back into the base
This is the same Type of Bunker as the Stability Override Bunker, wich get show case in june 2021 by Evil Wurst?
Verry verry good but just one thing im new to bunker bases but i dont get that if i have it sealed up and i die and i respawn in my base how do i get out and if im coming back to my base with no building plan or materials how do i open it up ?
Base build for the base at the start ?
It's a 2x1, that I haven't made a video about yet!
Can u also do this with a triangle roof as well somehow?
I cant figure out how you are placing the pixel glitch with the triangle instead of the square on the external tc example, could you clarify how your able to place that triangle backwards?
Thats for the base its a good base for me a solo player ty man
Any way to use it with triangle foundation instead of square?
Changing the game, AGAIN. Holy moly
EY. Let's hope not too many people use this LOL
Triangle stair bunker on top
Sven breaking the game 👀
i need a full break down on tht 3x3
this makes the game harder for solo/duo/trio ... clans don't care what bunker you have :))
A new meta begins 😳
Idk how you don’t have millions of subs your channel is insane but I’m so thankful not everyone will know about this😂😂
Can this be bypassed if someone places a twig floor outside on that socket?
Does the bunker open with twig? Like can you place twig roof without build-priv? I know you can place some twig without.
The only blocks placeable without building privilege are floors are floor frames.
3 months ago I saw dust use it and I used it a lot in my designs
My mind just got blown away lol 🤯game changer
@sven I'm having trouble building out the rest of the base because of the bunker. I was trying to build it similar to yours in the intro to the video, but I cant figure the build out.
with roofs bunkers they way y'all figured it out many weeks/months ago, by 0:32 seconds in i was glad i am not the guy that had to figure it out. i knew it was coming/possible, but it wasn't gonna be me.
i have electric fish to fry... :)
edit: 5:10 is the moment he describes how i knew this, without doing it. it's a stability trap from the old days. thank god their are patient, intelligent people on the case with lots of time. i may make a video of electrics some day. it is my bread and butter in the land of murder and horror.
Cool bunker, but imo there is a better one, at least for bases with no inner peaks (basically small bases). Check out gabe king bunker.
I've been using these secret bunkers since Christmas when my builder said "Watch this"
This is insane.
ill be using it ty so much for this base design
DUDE
This is very smart and powerful! Thank you for sharing.
I loved when you applied the concept to the externals
Yeah the externals are nice. Makes it very expensive to raid!
@@Sven_YT And easy to rebuild if you do end up being raided too!
The external technique was popularized by mr. man and Mini Satori.
Thank you so much for this Sven your a god greatly appreciate this method gonna make a mad base
Thank you great base design.
Would you consider dcoing a 3x3 offset bunker with widegaps? I'd be interested in seeing the buildout of such a base and your take on it
