AO is the GOAT. I stopped my Slate subscription and replaced it with AOs' complete collection and a few other excellent freebies. Haven't looked back since.
I wasn't aware of Analog Obsession's Busterse. Looks like a powerhouse, something worth checking for sure especially for the parallel compression option. I'm using FG-RED that has very similar features (auto-release, dry/wet, etc) from Slate and I love it but it doesn't hurt to have more options. Thank you for the video. Good stuff here!
Most of the music I've enjoyed came from the analogue era, no disrespect to digital Time moves forward and things change for the better or worse, depending upon your perception! Instruments and voice recorded through analogue gear picked up everything and that's what I like. To each his or her own. Great channel!
cakewalk also includes some of these plugins in it's free daw as stock plugins, completely free. it has an ssl style bus compressor as well as a console emulation and many other really good effects.
Hey nog osirus! Thanks for watching! It's called Frequency Curve Analyzer by Bertom Audio - it's free! Here's a video where we cover it in more detail: ruclips.net/video/mBAqG_mWPnw/видео.html
Hi Dear Sage Audio, hope you're doing well initially , tnx a million for this great video, Sir, Can you explain what's the main difference between free and purchased plugins? I don't know why many times I don't use free plugins on my serious projects even if they have good qualities , and I have used just limiter no.6 on my Mastering chain before. Where is the problem? Is there a psychological problem? Or No their qualities are lower than purchased plugins.
Hey Kambiz! Some free plugins have phase issues and other small problems, but the majority that I've used and the ones I like to show here work just as well as paid ones. Sometimes they're limited in their functionality, but most of the time they're from smaller developers that are looking to get their name out there. That said, if you use free plugins in your productions a lot will be just as good as paid versions! SageAudio.com
Hey Sage again want to say thanks for all you do for the recording community. Quick question what is the name of the song you’re using for demonstrating the plugins? Can it be purchased? Thanks.
Thanks for the video - curious why you'd demo the first one at 16 db gain reduction on a full track? I assume you'd be lurking around 1-4 db of gain reduction if you were to use it in mastering?
Thanks for watching Nikolaj! You're right! It makes more sense to compress in that range, but when doing these demos I like to show the plugins sound when pushed really hard. SageAudio.com
Great Video... BTW I found out Analog Obsession requires to be a Patreon now... Also, are Native Instruments mastering effects any good ? They were included in my Komplete CE 12 bundle.
Hey! I thought the same for a while. But turns out he just moved his download platform to patreon, but everyone can download. The posts are accessible by all :)
@@rumar4u yeah, as I said, you can just go in his patron site and not sign up for anything but you can still see the posts he made with the download links

Hey Michael! I think it's just a matter of preference for how you want to affect your bass. The main unique quality in subfilter is how it creates resonance filters, which would take some tweaking from another EQ to achieve. Thanks for watching! SageAudio.com

Hmmm I'm skipping the analog obsession stuff because of the bad rap but since you are recommending them I'll have to check them out. Great stuff as always!
The developer is getting better and refining things more and more. He's one of the first to get on the M1 / ARM bandwagon also, which indicates how nimble and agile he can be (where are the M1 versions of the plugins from the big guys? Mostly not to be seen. It's been almost a year since apple offered the development systems....). The new version of RARE is a winner.
I don't think you can get Analog Obsession plugins for free anymore tho. Don't you have to sub to his Patreon? If you have a free link could you possible provide it? Thanks for another GREAT vid!
no its all free still , its up to you if you want to sub. use this link www. patreon.com/analogobsession , , click on the plugin name .scroll down for AU/VST etc. ,right click on AU/VST and choose open link in new tab , then it would download.

Sorry I came back and again I annoy you Dear, have you ever experienced W.A.PRODUCTION vst and instruments? Can you share your thoughts and experiences with us? Also I love Sonic charge plugins so much but they are a little harder than the usual plugins like Permut8
Hey Kambiz! All of the plugins and sites you mentioned are new to us! We'll have to check them out - thanks for the suggestion and for watching/commenting! W.A.PRODUCTION
The kind of music really does not help to get an idea of how things sounds. Some music with a broader spectrum please ? All the plugins need register after installation, that is a no go for me. You forgot the best eq tools jlk. Simple 6 knobs huge results. Overall more adertising in this video than good stuff. They are not versatile at all from a mastering professional point of view

I dont understand the sense of sub_filter, it is just a eq for bass. Why should i use a specific eq for bass when I have better EQs??
