      Unreal! The enforcers all rock. I actually fell my first day as well. When you have factory sharp edges it's crucial to detune those tips and tails. Also, sometimes doing a base grind can also really reduce any sort of initial grabbiness out of the factory too

Somehow they still float in pow like crazy even as the thinnest version of the ski. Only downsides I found we're going backwards was pretty wierd and the tail doesn't have much pop to it, due to it's stiffness

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  Год назад

      The tail is def a tad stiff. I think that's also to do with the rocker profile. Not the most buttery ski I've played on. But it makes up in it's ability to charge when you let it fly. Feels ridiculously stable.

    Mine were also way grabby at the tips on the groomers. I tried slightly detuning the tips, gradually up to the rocker, with a little improvement. Finally got them dialed after knocking down the edge angle all the way from the rocker to the tip to 1deg, and slight detuning in addition. (Should've held off with the detuning, just for checking the edge tune, but was a bit hasty...)
    Also, the base edge angle was a bit tighter than 1deg out of the wrapper. Plus, the edges had a little rough finish, which made them bite into the ice a bit too well.

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  Год назад +1

      Interesting that you had a similar experience!
      Now that I've dulled them out a bit they are feeling better. I retuned them at 1 degree but didn't go near the tips or tails. The extra grab worked great for groomers but off-piste was a little much.
      Overall I find myself reaching for the 115 more often for primarily off-piste days. That extra bit of rocker makes em super fun to throw around even though they pack a bit more weight.

    • @lassivaatamoinen5468
      @lassivaatamoinen5468 Год назад

      @@riseandalpine the extra grab worked for me too, if there was anything soft to work on. But on longer icy stretches, possibly with some soft bumps, the added grip was a bit much. I still think there’s bunch of edge hold in store, but more manageable now. Haven’t had quite as extensive ice tracks to ski since tuning…

    Nice, I have a similar ski the Blizzard Rustler 10, that type of terrain with fresh powder they is beyond fun, more of a religious experience really. I was never really one to get airborne in steep, heavily treed terrain until I got the Rustler 10's, my understanding is the Enforcer 104 is very similar. I do wonder about your comment "this ski wants speed", how fast were you going? I'd think the Enforcer 100 "wants speed", with the twin tip design I doubt the 104 is gonna be as stable as the 100. Where were you skiing?

      The 104 is really stable... it skis way under it's width. I'm still shook about it's ability to carve. Almost not playful enough sometimes because of the dampness. I also have the 115 which solves all that and also performs incredibly at speed
