    Great points guys! Especially on the greenery and trees. Just like you moved to AZ from Colorado and miss that a lot for sure. In areas where has greenery people get disparate when it is cloudy for days but here get sad seeing same desert environment all year around.

    Hey guys great video. I have a job offer in Phoenix but have a unique consideration; I have pretty harsh tinnitus & hearing sensitivity. I still really enjoy social scenes & nightlife but just can't do the loud places anymore. Is there a good selection of more laid back restaurants/quiet lounges? Last time I was in Pheonix was 22 years old on Old Mill Street. Not so quiet lol.

    I grew up in AZ and for the most part, it was hot and fantastic. Live in California now. I've visited a couple of times from California and got nose bleeds while there in AZ. My nose would be a bloody mess until I got back to California. So I guess, I can't live in AZ again because of that.

    One thing people need to know is Arizona is not all brown and always hot. That’s mostly the Phoenix metro area and even in some towns in the Phoenix metro area there are areas that are green . Also the heat is only bad in the summer, 8 months out of the year it’s beautiful. If you like sun, this is the place to be. Always sunny almost 330 days a year. Last thing is Arizona is not all desert. Just north of Phoenix you will see farms, green trees, snow and mountains. Money for the government for education is doing the wrong thing. Investing in teachers unions has destroyed blue states for the past 50 years. Private education is the way to go. Educate your kids in schools that you want a say in their education . That’s what made Arizona great.

      You make some great points, Robert. Thanks for chiming in and watching the video.

    Overall how is the road quality in the Phoenix metro? Coming from a cold weather state like Ohio whose roads are marred by potholes from ice, snow and snow plows, I'm hoping for better roads when I move out there next summer.

    • @ArizonaInsider
      @ArizonaInsider  3 года назад

      The roads are pretty good here. You will see some pot holes during monsoon season but the city is usually quick at repairing them. So not what you’re used to in Ohio. Been to Phoenix before?

      @stormchaser419 3 года назад

      @@ArizonaInsider No but have visited Las Vegas and the surrounding area. Lived in Dallas, Texas for 10 years so no stranger to hot but Phoenix hot is another beast I know when everyday for months is 103 to 115. I loved summer in Texas and will love it there just some little adjustments. Looking forward to all those sunny days as I suffer from seasonal depression during the winter in the Midwest with cold cloudy days. Concerned though with rising rents going up like crazy. Looking forward to more exercise long into the year. I gained 30 lbs moving back to Midwest and scrimping on outside exercise in the winter. I want my old physical and mental state back. I think Arizona will be a breath of fresh air in many ways.

    • @MeltinJohn
      @MeltinJohn 3 года назад

      @@stormchaser419 take my advice ok.. I moved to FL and it's become a shit show here with the rents and lack of availability. I am now looking to move TO the Midwest just not sure what state yet but around you. And the DeSantis fans are all moving here too. The driving bad, litter on the ground is awful. Lack of pedestrian courtesy. Big things with me. Leaving the south is a priority for me.

      @@ArizonaInsider never. I actually like heat and think id enjoy it there for the most part. The lack of greenery would be a bummer but at least it wouldn't be cold. Missouri gets very hot and humid in the summer and freezing cold in the winter.

      Florida is awful right now too with all the conservative transplants coming in bringing their nutty ideas. No bi partisan effort at all to work together and bad drivers in Tampa. So if you think it's better here it isn't.. if you can only stay at one crappy motel you can't really afford but it's the cheapest option you have because no one is offering up anything in their homes in the better sections of the city, good chance the area has issues addressing the poor people who need homes.

    Important to get the tax facts correct. It is a marginal tax rate of 3.5% on single filers making over 250k and joint making over 500k. Only taxed at that rate when you make over that amount. Give me the low property taxes with those income taxes over no income taxes and high property taxes of Texas. But hey I don’t know anyone making that much money, but I also have a beautiful place in AZ that I’m not worried about paying an arm, leg, or kidney in property taxes for.

    The thing that I learned after I moved to AZ was.. Arizona is 12th highest state for poverty, and 10th highest state for crime. Those two things explain the undesirable people that live here. Not to mention it's basically a governless state thanks to Ducey. Good video.

      Phoenix is the new LA and the costs will soon match. A $600 power bill is just a turn off. In South Alabama with heat and humidity it's still only $300.

    It’s March 05, not even Spring quite yet but it feels like Summer. The 70s is hot in AZ.
    Gov Ducey just opened all restaurants and bars at full capacity but they must still have COVID safety precautions.
    Moved here in May 2020 from Vegas but due to the pandemic I haven’t experienced anything. 😳👎🏻 Don’t k ow if I like it yet and I am NOT gonna go hike in the heat 🤷🏻‍♀️
