- We've got some exciting news!!! After we miscarried our baby this last spring, our struggle with recurring miscarriage continued to lead to heartbreak and sorrow for our family. We worked closely with my doctors and found out I had an underlying autoimmune disorder called Hashimotos Hypothyroiditis which is well understood to contribute heavily to early miscarriage. Once we finally got the the autoimmune disorder in control, we were blessed with our rainbow baby! We are more than thrilled to welcome Baby Carnahan #3 in June 2021! For a whole 4 months we'll have 3 under 3! Whoo! It'll be busy and crazy fun and exciting all at once! ❤️

Just out of curiosity, what did you do differently that 1 month before getting pregnant to control your thyroid situation? I think it is information that might help others. Congrats on baby nr 3 btw 😊
Great question! I had been on a thyroid medication for several months and the dose was continuing to be adjusted until it put my labs within an adequate range, I was also taking progesterone to reduce the chances of miscarriage and I was on a special diet, Autoimmune Protocol (AIP Diet). That magic combo did the trick for me! I hope that helps! ❤️
