I love the part when you say all the other parents are going to see your curls when you go to pick up your son and they will be like “Oh my Gawd!!!” 🤗 ❤️
I have been on and off with the curly girl Method and Curly Susie has always been my favorite ❤️I just started back and while transitioning I have been doing robe curls and just started using Ayurvedic henna masks to cover the gray and it strengthens the hair as well. I can’t believe I used chemical dye for so long 🤪
I’ve watched A LOT of curly hair videos to learn how to take care of my hair in the past year. You are one of the few people who is the most practical which I love. Most influencers use and promote expensive hair products that are just not practical when you’re on a budget. I really appreciate your focus on affordable products, helpful info, and techniques. It allows me to do something good for myself. And, spend my money on important things like therapy for my special needs child. Thank you so much and I look forward to more videos.
Totally agree! I’ve been watching CG videos since 2011. Because of hormonal changes my hair has changed from 3a to 2b/c and very very similar to your your hair! I’ve had no idea how to work with my hair now and it’s felt like I have someone else’s hair on my head. I’ve only 2 videos and you’ve honestly answered all my questions and saved me from buying a product that wouldn’t work for me. Thank you so much!! So helpful and to the point! You and your hair are beautiful! 🤩
@@juliethompson4899The idea is to wear it curly/wavy, not to straighten it. If you want to straighten it, wash or refresh it and then straighten it as you normally would (without going through the process in the video).
The simplest techniques are often the most overlooked! Half the reason I went CGM was because I hate styling my hair. I don’t have the patience to twirl a denman brush through every curl clump three times over 😂
I’ve been learning how to manage my baby 2A waves for about 18 months now and am finally learning that simple is what works best for my hair. One reason I was making it so complicated was because that’s what so many wavy/curly videos show. So simple videos like this are necessary! I’ve learned so much from you Susie, even though we have very different curl types, thank you!
After 2 years of trying to do CGM, I've found it very liberating to embrace my naturally straight hair. Sometimes frizz is just frizz and nothing to do with curls waiting to happen.
@@Lily_of_the_Forest I don't have naturally curly hair, but I do have a perm!! Maybe you should try one out. It was starting to not look great, so I've been using some of the cgm tips and tricks.
@@Lily_of_the_Forest she might have wavy hair, but hasn't learned to embrace the waves. I have low porosity, fine waves, which turn to frizz without the cgm. I can occasionally get one spiral, but mostly beachy waves. I'm quite content with that look. I do need to use lighter products, and hardly ever "co-wash." 😊
I had to come back after watching this to tell you I’m having the best hair I’ve had this winter thanks to these tips! I don’t have any kids to pick up from school so I’m just going to stand in front of the mirror and say “oh my god!” to myself!
Your comment made me laugh. I have kids but they take the bus this year and it’s just us at the bus stop so I guess I’ll make the random strangers at target say oh my gawd. Lol
Thank you for the lovely tutorial. I prefer to have large clumps of curls too. I have bangs like yours and I always manipulate them while they're wet or else they look creepy lol
I’ve tried this twice now and am getting the best results ever. Thank you so much! I’ve dubbed it Susie’s Shower Styling in my hair journal. Hanging my hair forward is the huge game changer for me. If I look at my clumps wrong they fall apart but this method lets me apply my products and diffuse without ever moving my head. I use my wide toothed comb to set my part while I still have my conditioner in then let it fall forward while it rinses out. I then apply my leave in and my gel, exit the shower catching drips with my microfiber towel, microplop for a few minutes, and then diffuse all my hair without having to move my head around! Bonus? It’s cut down my drying time because the center back of my head gets more air flow. Susie, you have changed my life 😊
I love your honesty and your short yet helpful videos. And I so understand feeling good when you have a good hair day!! Everyone look at me today!! Not the day my hairs thrown up and I'm missing half an eyebrow 🤣
I'm so glad you made this video hardly anyone makes videos on how to make curl clumps, only Swavy Curly Courtney made one video about this that I'm aware of and it's the video I've been following. But I wanted to see how other people made clumps and I couldn't find any other videos. Most curly girls rake products through their hair and even comb them through with a fine-toothed comb and they end up with the fattest juiciest shiny curls. When I do that my hair comes out so stringy and with a wet look even if I didn't use gel and I hate that look I want big fat curls. I'm going to do what you do next time I wash my hair.
Simple is what i was looking for!! 😂 i have been using a partial cgm for years, but am getting sick of all the post-shower work (getting older and less patient) so i needed a simplified clumping method- thank you!!! 👍🧡👍🧡
Love your content! I always recommend your videos to people who don’t know where to start with the curly girl method, because of your no-nonsense approach and east to follow application techniques.
Your hair is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing this, Susie. I will share this with my lovely daughter who has curly wavy hair, and unfortunately for her, a mom who has straight hair and zero help for her. I really appreciate these precise instructions and the fact that you can get this look without $380 worth of product!
I love this! I much prefer the simple ways to take care of my hair, because I refuse to have a hair routine that's too complicated for my 2b/2c hair (out of laziness and not having the time 😂). So any easy tips and tricks are always appreciated! 😄
Thank you for presenting us with simpler ways to (hopefully) achieve beautiful curls like yours! Many of the other videos are overwhelming and I get discouraged, but you give me hope!
I really admire you for your honesty and keeping everything simple and easy. You are the only blogger I don't miss to watch and I really wanna thank you for teaching the curly tribe the perfect way to keep the curls happy and pretty.
Your technique works great on my layered, chin-length (after dry!) bob. I was running low on curl defining cream and it's always a crap shoot which one to buy--even if one works well, I get tempted to try something else. With your system of using defining gel in the shower, I find I won't be needing curl definer. The clumps are best-ever and they held up all week long. Thank you!
Love this video! I’m trying this tomorrow - my hair clumps great on one side with no effort but the other side tends to be more of a frizzy curl , using a little gel helps but like you I like to keep it simple and always resist using a lot of different products. When my hair is dry I scrunch a bit of argan oil in and this really helps too.
Love the info on the fringe especially!! My forehead is huge so I love fringe...but, curly fringe is tough, for me anyway :) and I totally know what you're talking about with clipping it up and making a super odd pattern, I do this a lot when I think I'm just trying to clip it up so that it doesn't press flat in my forehead.
