The story goes when him and Thor first meet Sebastian could actually out-bench Thor at the time, given the weight and size difference Thor said ‘where do I sign up’.
The judge made him wait extra long on the 3rd attempt bench to tell the spotter to not stand close to her?? That's gotta be frustrating, holding weight like that for even an extra second makes getting the rep incredibly more difficult.
@@Dr_Footbrake some feds only require the spotter to clear the area in front of the referee, others require the referee to move around the spotter, some as you say require the spotter to be completely off the platform, as in ProRaw. And as you say, far from his first ProRaw.
He said in a video with Thor that he likes it in line with his diaphragm. Bas said he can brace better against it. There is no best way. Each person can have a different "best way" for them.
@@alexpark1694 Not more air. Think the stomach was a ballon and when you fill it up with air it can press against the belt and create stability round your core. Having the belt high or low is a matter of choice for every person, it depends where you want to get extra stability, belt low= lower back, belt high= your core (but then you dont get it on your lower back) What is best is individually beacuse it depends on were you are strong and were you are less strong, your weak spots. Try and find out for yourself but remember...there are no right or wrong here, only what works just for you.
A LOT OF TIME'S IT'S JUST THE TUNES OMFG ALMOST WENT DEAF JESUS
Main spotter has a T H I C C stache. 10/10
Damn he lost by 2kg, he had more on the squat and deadlift.
The sound blew my ears out at the end!
But Good lifts, cheers for the vid
Wow didn't realise he was this strong... i thought he just trained Thor. Very impressive indeed
dale Wilson lol same

He probably still can @@rawirihemi27
3:48 He literally had to hold it for 3 seconds, referee hassling
More like 4 seconds... Major grief. Hope she didn't have a hidden agenda she really took her time on that one kinda pissed me off

Spotters are supposed to clear the platform before the lifter will get a start command, it's explained in the pre-comp briefing
@@gzeuskraiste as far as i'm aware it's also the exact same rule as in every other powerlifting fed (and it wasn't his first ProRaw) so no excuses

I really look up to this guy. What a pocket rocket! Dynamite! No limits
great lifter,perhaps a little conservative.
SOUND WARNING AT THE END
10/10 audio
Third deadlift attempt was way to easy, should have gone for more, he would have won it
Exactly...great power with bad strategy :(
Could be a grip thing
Should have done 235kg bench and an extra 5kg on squat
Felt tht way about the squat as well. Feel like he could’ve taken at least another 5 kilos from third attempt. It went up pretty quick
Honestly hafthor doesn’t bench much more than sebastion despite being twice the size
Strongmen usually don't bench though.

s57iotuk t the guys back cramped up
2:24 What happened there?
Pooped his pants
👏👏👏
Waiting 2 see Ben Pollack in 110kg class
Nice job Sebastian
A little too conservative with his attempts, could've got another 20-30kg no doubt. Great lifting though
His face Is crazy And scary on the lifts 😅
does sebastian orb also advice thor on what steroids to take?
ofc that is what high level strength coaches do

Can someone explane me why he is allowed to wear knee wraps even if is a raw competition?
The name equipped is used to indicate the use of a suit. Both knee sleeves and knee wraps fall within the raw category
Strength Central and this in every international federation?
@@ettoresalice975 Some choose not to have a wrapped division but yes, it's a general rule for the sport
It's called classic raw for a reason.. came before knee sleeves
Why wear the weight lifting belt that high up his stomach? Is that the best way?
There is no "best way". You have to try what works best for you.

On deadlift, the belt doesn’t help me at all
nathan jones was there? got the footage? :O
No sound?
The Aussie Joe Rogan
Wow
Is that spotter name Laurence bye any chance lol
You just saw that he could go higher in the deadlift en maybe the squat
sad to see him lose the title by 2.5kg... he coudl've squatted and deadlifted like 5kg more
Surely the guy who actually won couldn't, only he actually did it. But the guy who didn't do it, surely could have done it. Congrats bro.
@@maciejguzek3442 Wow. This reply was dumb.
@Sam GM but what counts is that the claim that the guy who didn't win, could have won if only he lifted more, was bright and clever.
Plus the dude who won, definently didn't lock out his third deadlift attempt :/
Sam GM that was actually smart. The guy who won probably could have lifted more as well if needed be
Didn’t know he was strong or even competed

lje i was wondering the same thing. I think hes just able to brace harder and get more air in his stomach at that area
