    What feature of the updated CUPRA Formentor excites you the most: its striking new design, powerful hybrid performance, or the advanced tech features inside?

      All of the above. I’m looking for one as well, love the design of the updated Formentor!

    Does it have the different modes, Eco, Normal, Hybrid, Cupra? What's the consumption on hybrid? How long does it takes to charge the battery from 0 to 80%, and also to 100% on a public charger. I don't have the possibility to charge it at home, but at work we have fast chargers free for use, so I can charge it there. I would love to know for example if i go 1500km drive, and i stop each 300km how what the consumption will be. If actually can get over 100km on battery in the city, and can be charged actually quickly, would be the perfect car.
    Does someone know here I can read more about the different modes, how they work, when decides to use what. how it's used and so on? Thank you.

      Hi Martin, thanks for reaching out. The Cupra offers several driving modes, including eco, normal, performance, and Cupra, as you mentioned. It also has the option to run solely on the electric battery.
      Compared to the first-generation Formentor, the new model allows charging the battery at 11 kWh AC instead of 3.5 kWh, and with fast charging up to 50 kWh DC. With a battery capacity of 19.7 kWh, this means you can fast charge from 0% to 100% in about 30 minutes. Using an 11 kWh charger, a full charge from 0% to 100% would take around 2 hours, and from 0% to 80% in just over 1.5 hours. I can't give the exact values, as I haven't personally tested this, but according to Cupra's specifications, you should be able to drive over 100 km on a full charge in city conditions.

      @@GDrives_NL Thank you for the quick answer, it's really helpful. And quick question about the modes, where I can read more how they work, when it's hybrid for example on what conditions uses only batter, on what both petrol and battery, does it use only the petrol and so on? I dont have PHEV, i drive 2018 Tiguan BiTDI, and latetly I found myself driving in the city a lot, and I am thinking of a change. So far Formentor is my favorite, or Tiguan e-hybrid.
      And one last question, How to recognize the versions of the car? For example in Tiguan I have R-line, there are also Highline, Comfortline, trendline... I would like to know where i can read the difference between the Cupra Formentor versions.
      Thank you in advance

      If you search for "Cupra Formentor PDF" on Google, you'll already find a lot of information. The available models vary depending on where you live. For instance, in the Dutch market, there are four variants: Essential, Business, VZ Performance, and VZ Extreme. All of these are plug-in hybrids, with the first two producing 204 hp and the VZ Performance and VZ Extreme delivering 272 hp. In Germany, there are more options, including petrol, plug-in hybrid, and diesel models. The names Essential and Business aren’t used in Germany; instead, it’s just called Formentor. Additionally, VZ Performance is shortened to VZ, and the VZ Extreme is available only with a 2.0 TSI petrol engine with 333 hp or a plug-in hybrid engine with 272 hp. In short, the availability and naming vary by location, but the VZ Extreme is comparable to VW’s R variants.

      @@GDrives_NL Great, thank you for the answer. I live in Czech Republic, so I believe that most we will have pretty similar name as Germany. You were very helpful. I really like my Tiguan, but new one with the 272HP hybrid engine is too expensive for me, but cupra formentor looks pretty good, and seems to have everything that the tiguan has, may be is a little bit smaller, bot otherwise can do, also look good.

      @GDrives_NL  4 дня назад

      I'm glad to hear you found the information useful-that's exactly what this channel is for! The Tiguan is indeed a beautiful car. I used to own a 2011 Tiguan 1.5 TSI with 150 horsepower and a 6-speed manual. I sold it with 250,000 km on the clock, and while I never had engine issues, I did have a leaking sunroof 😅. Recently, I drove the 2024 Tiguan with the 1.5 petrol engine, and I even made a video about it, have you seen it yet?
      The Formentor, on the other hand, feels quite different, especially sportier. You do lose a bit of space, but do you really need that much? The first-gen Formentor has probably come down in price by now. Have you considered that?
      By the way, I checked out the Cupra website in the Czech Republic, and the models are the same as in Germany, you're lucky! In the Netherlands, we only get the EVs and plug-in hybrids, so the 333-hp model isn’t even available for us.

    How does the ride quality compare to its competitors like q3 and x1 because I have seen it from person and sit inside but never did a test drive and do you you think the power is enough ?

    • @GDrives_NL
      @GDrives_NL  10 дней назад +1

      Compared to the BMW X1 or Audi Q3, IMHO the Formentor is just more exciting to drive. The exterior and the interior of the X1 looks great but doesn’t offer the same driving thrill, and while the Q3 is refined and comfortable, it’s not as engaging. The Formentor nails the balance of hybrid efficiency and driving fun in a way that few cars do and the power is more than enough.

      @@GDrives_NL thanks it helps a lot and one last question do you think the interior quality is good in comparison to the x1 and q3 because I felt some plastics in the interior

    • @GDrives_NL
      @GDrives_NL  9 дней назад +1

      In my opinion, the X1 has the best interior of the three, thanks to its comfort, soundproofing, quality materials, and the standout curved display. However, that doesn't diminish the quality of the Formentor. The sports seats are comfortable, and while there is some plastic, it doesn’t come across as cheap. As for the Audi, I don’t have much to say-just a bit dull for me. That said, Audi has taken a fresh approach to interior design, and I actually prefer their new design over BMW’s. I recently drove the Q6 e-tron, and a video review will be up soon.

      @@GDrives_NL no but I think 270 ps and 7 seconds is quite slow for that car. Our base Macan has 265HP and is one sec quicker while being heavier 🤷‍♂️

      I agree, a 5.5 or even 6-seconds would suit this car better. From the start, the car drives smoothly with no noticeable delay. It’s probably being restricted somewhere.
