Everything she does is for her gain. And as we see in the re-up she throws herself under the bus to save jecka from the councelor, doesn't say anything when Jecka legit lets her rot in the streets, and lets Jecka call her out for numerous things. Why? Becouse Jecka is the onlt person that somewhat cares for Nicole, that helps Nicole. She is useful and fun in Nicole's otherwise dull life. İt doesnt make sense in Nicole's selfish mindset to throw that all away just for extremely petry revenge.

It's not that Nicole wouldn't do something that evil for petty revenge over a trivial "slight" (she absolutely would), but it's questionable that she'd do it to Jecka, who's useful to her. That said, she only "saved" Jecka from the counselor after socially sacrificing her first, so let's not give her too much credit for that one. And she also made zero effort to recover her "friend" from white nationalism in the first game. So on the one hand, I wouldn't call Jecka Nicole's "friend" in the way neurotypical people tend to have friends. I think she's more like a useful thing that's fun and amusing to have around. But on the other, it does seem a little bit of a stretch that Nicole would break her fun thing over something like that. Anyway, Flipside in general is just a total train wreck.

I think to call her evil you have to say that she was full cognitive of what would happen because of her actions outside of intent to hurt because she felt hurt, she drugs Jeffrey because she thinks it's funny not because she wanted to kill him but when faced with the idea that he might actually die she chooses herself over anyone else, when hurting jecka she just thinks about getting revenge on her because she believes that jecka hurt her but she doesn't think about repercussions of hurting her that way. Does that make sense?
The girl who let Emily od in front of the class and left Jecka alone with her p3do brother, the girl who robotripped in public and sold crack to pregnant women wouldn't force a guy to od or step on her best friend's dad's face...Sure. (YAP ALERT) In my honest opinion (🤓), Class of 09: The Flipside was an absolutely horrible ending to the franchise. Jecka was used for pure shock value. That's it. So much more could've actually been done with her character. The characters in the Flipside were so just...out of character. They were two-dimensional to a painful degree. Jecka deserved so much better for the character she was. Genuinely she deserved a happy ending. This creator, all in all, did NOT care about his fanbase. The end message was one big edgelord "F YOU" and honestly, was just not worth playing. The Re:Up was still the best in the entire series. It is the only one where the characters were not only funny but just...felt like people. Both the Flipside and even parts of the OG failed to do that. For as good as the other two games were, the Flipside was just...dissapointing. Not sure if anyone else felt the dissapointment seeing how lackluster the game was. Thanks for playing the game til the end though, Mike! Very cool to see your full perspective on it, and you ACTUALLY MADE watching the Flipside bareable. :D

Flipside's purpose is to be watched in the background whilst you do something else. There is no benefit to buying or actually playing it. You barely even get any choices.

For context for the apple commercial, 1984 is a book written by George Orwell which is a precautionary tale about how society has become so technologically restrictive to the point humanity is drained within the society. The man on the screen for context is Big Brother (or some version/parody of him) which is basically an idea rather than an actual person of a dictator overseeing the whole society. Apple advertises that the year of 1984 wont be like the book since technology wont go as far as to spy on people 24/7 (which is kinda ironic since technology is getting more and more scarier as it advances IMO (sorry for long yap sesh, I really like talking abt the unholy trinity of anti utopias a lot which includes We, brave new world and 1984 ;0;)

On another note this game made me hate Nicole.
With the ending with jecka dying Nicole hooked up (ik technically they didn’t hook up but yknow) with jeckas dad bc she was being petty about jecka not wanting to share the money WHICH SHE HAS TO PAY BILLS WITH so she decided to be betray her best friend, in my opinion jecka shoulda killed her.
With the Jeffrey ending, sure there are some terrible endings involving him but he didn’t deserve that and Nicole being so self centered that she couldn’t care to help him blows my mind and how she blames some of it on jecka?! narcissistic psychopath behavior🤬
