At times White Saliba and Gabriel form a back 3, Xhaka & Partey form a pivot and Zinchenko Jesus Martinelli occupy the various zones of the Left Hand Side of the pitch. It's not as rigid of a system positionally as Pep's with the use of inverted fullbacks especially Xhaka and Zinchenko side.
With total respect for Martin Odegard, I think Granit is the true on field leader and is an inspiring tough talented man! Always gives it 100%, we are lucky to have him!
Where was this energy when the team wasn't winning? stop being fake, the truth is you love Martinelli and Jesus because they defend with their pressing and takes the pressure off the midfielders. Nowadays all Arsenal defenders have to do is intercept as while, last season they had to pull and tackle opposition players because the attackers didn't help out defensively and put opposition buildups under stress and cause them to make wrong passes. Take Jesus and Martinelli out and Xhaka will do what he must to defend even if it's getting sent off

All those fans that issued death threats to Xhaka's family because of their 'hatred' for the man are just a bunch of sick donkeys. This applies any player in the game, not just Xhaka.
Coming from a Madridista, every team needs a character like Xhaka in your team like we used to have Sergio Ramos or Casemiro who wouldn't take your bs and sit down like a good boy! You cause trouble be ready to get trouble and a lot of them! These players create fear in your mind specially among the forwards and force you to make mistakes! And imo he should wear the armband not Odegaard and when he leaves give it to Saka or someone whos in the club for a long time!
