Thank you for your help for us. Hello From sunny and already hot in Florida USA. Hi Monty, love you. He loves his Mommy so much. I can tell he wants to be near you and and willing to wait on your pets, and share his time with us until he can get all of your undivided love and attention (lol). He is adorable 🥰
There are so many styling channels. This one stands head and shoulders over them because you take the time and put real effort into showing us how it works. I really appreciate that. Good job.
I love that the focus is on de-bulking rather than trying to make oneself appear to be a different shape/size. super useful and realistic for the average person.
That was amazing! I am 70 years old and this is the first time I've seen how to dress for MY body. Thank you for this video. I have a feeling this could be life changing. Grateful.
Your beautiful model is living proof that an apple shape doesn’t equal large. She has a beautiful body and your clothing choices were spot on. I loved too many to choose a favorite. I personally liked the dresses without the belts but that’s me..I don’t like belts. She looked amazing and thank you for all the tips. 💖
I loved them both without the belt and is how I'd wear them, loved the navy one and the last dress was gorgeous as was the three piece with green trousers. I love these dressing live models the concept of balance is so much easier to understand.
I'm with you on the belts. I'm built just like this including the long skinny legs. I hate belts around my middle as I virtually have no waist. I also could NOT wear the jumpsuit with the line that should be under the bust hitting me in the middle. But tons of great tips here for people shaped like me! Thanks!
I love the way that you use the “yes” clothes to demonstrate the “no’s” and how to fix them, or a split screen of yourself or a willing model to show the difference. It helps me see that I can make small changes with the clothes I already own. Plus, it also feels so much more respectful than some other channels who use stock images of other women or celebrities and criticize what they are doing wrong. You have such a kind way of celebrating everyone’s body type and giving practical advice.
Denise is stunning. This is my favorite style class. Several things I was doing wrong such as not wearing a necklace with larger bust will now be fixed. Such simple tweaks that go against everything we've read/heard will now make a huge difference. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Nice to see sweet Monte too. Thank you.
This series is brilliant Melissa! Definitely an apple shape here, and petite also, I never ever wear belts because there is no room between my bust and my middle for it. You address the things most stylists don't take into account and that is not every style tip works for every body shape! Am loving your content! Thank you!
@@joanpeters9330Omg same!!! Short, plus size, and bigger in my boobs and thighs which I hate. My niece is so jealous of my boobs I’m like here have them!!! 😂😂😂
Loved this video! I learned a lot about how to style with a bigger bust, suits me perfectly! I need a long necklace now! lol Thank you so much for styling the everyday women! It gives us hope that we can all look fashionable, smart and comfortable.
AMAZING. I wish I could like this twice. THANK YOU to Denise for being so brave & beautiful for us all to learn! Melissa, you are the genuine article. So many people just throw out a list of tips and only demonstrate on one skinny body type. You show us how it all really comes together, how sometimes the "rules" don't apply, and give us the principles to follow. I get SO EXCITED when you post a new video! 😄😄😄👗👚👖
I’ve been wearing little white tanks under cropped sweaters my whole adult life! I knew it worked but couldn’t for the life of me explain why. 😂 I love your videos. 💜
THANK YOU for featuring a size 14 model…this represents the majority of my friends, all mums with young children shocked by the changes to their bodies caused by a couple of pregnancies. It is so disheartening to watch the tall, young, slender vloggers look gorgeous in whatever they put on and be disappointed yet again that the clothes they show just do not look good on a bigger size normal person. You are truly an inspiration Melissa.
So glad you did this body shape! I, too, have a "thick" trunk and very (too) slender legs and ankles. It's takes lots of planning to not look misshapen, or off balanced. So many of us do have that middle age spread around the torso. I usually just stick to a dark top and light colored bottoms. I like the styles and reasonings for them that you offer! Thanks.
Denise looks like one of those women I admire while walking through the airport. 😁 All the outfits were so chic on her. I used to have that shape. After losing weight, I still don’t have a super small waist, but I was able to change my shape into an inverted triangle. Like Denise, I also liked wearing belts and felt, although counterintuitive, it actually looked better.
Fabulous visual tips! This is SO incredibly helpful seeing your pointers on so many types of outfits. The quick ‘this vs this’ is a powerful visual that makes what you’re saying so clear and obvious. Love it! Thank you!
I found this at just the right time! After having children, I have a generous bust and waistline, and this is really helping me learn how to flatter my new body shape. It’s super important for me as I get back into the professional workplace, so thank you to both of you!
Brilliant , you have given me lots of good visual advice, your model was brilliant and the clothes really suited her, just the comparison between two different sizes and shapes was amazing, and also permission to be a size 14 with extra flesh and still look good and feel confident. Thank you 🙏 xx
Never would've thought that a necklace can be used to visually minimize bust size. I always believed it would draw attention and do the exact opposite. Thank You!
I am so glad I discovered you. You are such a gem! I've learned so much from your videos. You have such a great understanding of what works for each body type. As an apple shape, I have heard the whole "show your legs!" from magazines, but it is not flattering on us, at all, so I really appreciated you reaffirming that apples shouldn't show so much leg. The way you style outfits is exactly the way I have always wanted to dress: sophisticated, elegant, chic. Thanks for posting all the links, as it has helped tremendously to save me time in finding clothing items that work for me.
So helpful! I love how you show the differences. I heard long necklaces helped but didn’t believe it until I saw it! I’m a new subscriber. Lost 75 lbs and am a US 6-8 but I’m top heavy. Kept my bust but lost my behind. Flowing pants look terrible from the back. Skinny jeans look good on my rear and legs but out of proportion. Trying to dress this new body. What you did with Denise was helpful.
I just discovered your channel last week, and watching the videos addressing the apple shape, tummy (after 4 children), and very thin legs was a lifechanger! Between have a complete hysterectomy 22 years ago (ovaries too), and having degenerative disc disease, I've gone fom 5'7 1/2" to 5' 5", basically losing my waist, as well as the lack of estrogen redistributing my weight from a decent hourglass to an apple with very thin legs. I ordered 3 new high-waist "mom" jeans with wider legs, paired them with the shirt front tuck, and OMG! I feel like a new woman! Before watching your videos, I was clueless how to choose the pieces that were best for my shape, and my shopping trips ended in frustration, with me returning empty handed. Thank you so so much!!!
I'm sorry to hear of your health challenges but i'm so happy to hear that my advice has helped you, in fact, I love hearing stories like that so thank you for taking the time to write and let me know. Ps - i'm loading a new video at the weekend with a lady who has a large chest and barrel stomach and slim legs - you may find that useful too. x
I absolutely love the way you appreciate all body shapes and types. Thank you for making me feel better about my imperfect shape! Can’t wait to try some of your suggestions for summer.
I'm 29 and only just realising I'm an apple shape - my legs have always been skinny but man do I carry weight around my middle! I've always worn skinny jeans with loose baggy tops - this video was so helpful in understanding better how I might be able to balance my shape out, thank you!
I especially appreciate you and Denise for demonstrating such brilliant strategies for those of us with apple shapes and generous bosoms. Personally, I am guilty of covering everything up. I feel more confident in reinventing the balance needed to embrace the shelf up top. Well done! Thank you, Ladies.
Amazing content! Finally someone who really knows her job and considers normal shape women instead of skinny model like girls in their twenties. How refreshing! How inspiring! Thank you! I'm in my fourties, I'm UK 14, sometimes 16 and I feel I really can look good despite too much body here and there.
I have been planning for shopping for weeks, im missing courage and having fear for getting really disappointed and not getting support from the staff. Im really badly conscious of my large shoulders, belly and breasts, extremely long legs paired with a neck that seems short to me! After watching this video i feel a bit encouraged. I hope everything goes well and i remember your tips in the shop instead of panicking!
You've got this - just remember it's all about balance and try and 'balance' out the areas that you can adjust and don't focus on the areas that you can't influence. x
Hi Melissa, what a great video! This is my shape but without the slimmer legs. Really great tips on the tops. Can you let Denise know first of all thank you so much for being brave enough to show us on camera, you REALLY can see the difference on a live model. She is a beautiful lady and looks just stunning the the bright multi coloured dress and although she doesn't agree she looks totally amazing in the frill top with the pink trousers. I love all the outfits she wore. X
Monty has my heart, snoozing in that chair with his floppy paws hanging down. 💖 Melissa you have changed my wardrobe, changed my confidence...changed my life. Thank you. 🌟
Melissa please know you are making a HUGE difference to me and my confidence to try new things. I feel younger and prettier with your honest and respectful advice. I watch every video and learn from each. I feel braver, younger and more invigorated at 56. I’ve even had my hair restyled for a fresher, modern look, my husband loves the spring in my step. Thank you my friend from Sydney Australia xx
I love that Sarah, thank you so much for sharing. It makes it all worth it to know that it’s helped someone’s confidence as that’s essentially what it’s all about. Ps. I’m employing someone to help me and the first thing we’ll do is start adding the Australian links for you x
WOW, I’m a newcomer to your Chanel, I’ve watched 3 vlogs now and I have to say how amazingly helpful they have been. I’ve been feeling like I’ve lost my way with what suits me as I’ve got older but your vlogs have really inspired me to rethink my wardrobe and flip my body shape to what will look better - thank you so much 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I thought all of her outfits looked great on her! It's amazing to see how big of a difference the different styles change her body look. Thank you and Denise for sharing with us!
Denise was a fabulous model and she looked great in all of the outfits. The flowery dress looked really gorgeous on her for a wedding or formal occasion. Loved the jumpsuits on her although I would never wear one myself because of the hassle when going to the toilet. Loved the flowy pants and long cardi too. So much to like. Love these sessions with real women of all shapes and sizes.
I’m an older, petite(5 ft), rectangle/apple. It’s not so much the rectangle shape or the thick apple middle that trips me up, as it is being short. At 65 yrs old I’ve mostly got my look sorted out, but still like to watch a lot of stylists …..I’m always open to learning something new. Cheers from the States. 👋🏼🇺🇸
Thank you Heidi. I 100% agree that being so petite is a definite disadvantage in styling - I was dressing a 4ft 11 lady only yesterday and all of the clothes were drowning her and the selection was limited. Personally even though I’m only 5ft 3 I never shop in petite, instead I use a tailor. However, I appreciate that this all adds cost but I’d rather have fewer items that fit me really well than several that don’t! Good luck with it, if you need our help (we style people all over the world on a daily basis) then please get in touch via our website at www.MMpersonalstyling.co.uk
I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to see someone on You Tube who looks like me! I’m also a rectangle/apple and it’s so hard to deal with having no waist. I’m a size 10 too and there is like 3” between my hips and my waist. Thank you 🙏 I need that Boden white dress right now! 💃
I wish I had you in my closet every day. You suggest things I’ve never thought of and you make so much sense! I suppose that’s why you’re the professional! 😂🌺Mary xx
Superb video Melissa. I love the way you always show the wrong way as well as the right way. To physically see the difference between the two really helps to understand.
Beautifully done - Denise looked fabulous in the many outfits - the belts and necklace were a lesson in accessories complimenting not trying to distract from the body 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you Melissa for illustrating, with the help of lovely Denise, just how effective styling techniques are when creating an outfit to ‘balance’ our unique shapes. Lots of really useful info, tips and disguising tricks to try.
Anyone else watch Monty trying to stay awake at the end. So cute. Love the outfit’s. She looked beautiful in them. I’m 5’8” with a tummy/large chest/big bum type of body. Menopause has changed my body to the point idk how to dress myself anymore. I live in T-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants or leggings. I really don’t care how I look while relaxing at home or taking care of the kids. I have no clue how to dress when I leave the house. Your videos have helped me soooo much. I’m still not very fashionable but I am getting there thanks to you. ❤️
I have this shape and have the large bust- but I am 5’1” and about 147lbs. I never had a noticeable waist- even after liposuction when I was thinner… so after a weight gain from adrenal fatigue from steroid poisoning! ( Beware steroid injections)- I have no waist again and styling myself has been challenging. I have made all the mistakes…long baggy shirts and leggings or skinny jeans! In order to find jeans to fit- which is a stressful chore- the legs are baggy and don’t fit my flat behind! So I am watching your video and taking notes in hope of finally dressing and looking stylish and not frumpy! Thank you for your very thorough lessons!
Monty is always welcomed in any video. He is a star. Thank you for educating those of us who struggle with the apple/large chest issue. Also, your model is beautiful.
Loved the video and thought the styling made such a difference. A beautiful lady who really seemed happy to embrace your suggestions. I thought the white top with the frill looked great but we all have our likes and dislikes. Thanks to you and your lovely model. x
Thank you, Melissa. I'm shopping for a dress for my son's wedding and this answers why I didn't like what I had tried and what I should be looking for!
Thank you so much for this video. Your model is beautiful. Such a helpful video as my body shape has changed from my busty hourglass of my youth to now being apple shaped, but still with the bigger on top, I’ve totally lost how I should dress. This resonated so much. Thank you, thank you. There is hope for me!
I definitely relate to her shape, and this is one of the best videos I've seen addressing those issues. She looks great in every outfit you styled. I love the frilly white top and pink pants. She needs to give that a try. Thanks for all of the useful hints.
Really informational class for all of us with this type of body shape, you showed us side to side how can we improve our looks for every occasion even with accessories, now I could see what pieces of my closet could work better for me and look good and best of all feel good and with confidence with my image and stop to hide me inside the clothes. I always joke that my body shape is like a lollipop. Thank you for share your knowledge with us in a respectful manner. And a thumbs up for you and your model.
So grateful to Denise for allowing you to film your session. I love that we're all here together, keeping it real about our challenges. I learn SO much more from real life models. Melissa, you knocked it out of the park. The jumpsuits were my favorite. The pink floral dress would be lovely for a shower or party.
After pregnancy my body just wont go back to my previous shape and it is very frustrating, always feeling ugly bc i have no clue how to dress up anymore but now i found your channel and i almost cried in happinesses! All i need for this point of my life. Thank you very much for teaching us with more rounded body types that its still possible to dress up elegantly on our daily basics. Pls do more videos like this! Most of fashion is made for skinny body types which leaves the other type of bodies out of fashion with only options of ugly tshirts and gym leggings 24/7 😵💫
Great video Melissa! Thanks for the Apple body styling tips! Well done also on the nearly 100K subs! A great milestone to be approaching, and so rapidly too 🤩
Thank you so much - it still blows my mind that people are watching me! It's got to the stage now where i'm dropping back on my face to face work so I can bring more regular videos so thank you for your support, it's really appreciated. x
THis is the BEST video that depicts the true apple shape. I love how you pull the clothing away from the body and cinch it in to showcase the areas that we can disguise. This is a great informational video! Thank you to the model too!
This was brilliant!!!!! Thank you so much for your time and effort. It's very helpful for me to see all these different outfits in various body types. And a huge thank you for the tips you gave us ❤️
Oh my goodness! I am so excited to finally find you! I have watched alot of style videos but they have always been on women WITHOUT bust or tummy issues. I love love love that you not show great outfits but you also EXPLAIN the reasons and how to learn the balance of it all. YOU are my new best friend 💓
Welcome Patricia, I’m glad you found me too!! There are plenty more videos like this that I’ve done. If you click on my logo then the video tab you’ll see all of them in date order and there’s plenty more where I dress real women live on RUclips. Thanks for watching x
Thank you so much Melissa and your incredibly beautiful model. As always I find your advice and styling suggestions absolutely on point. You truly are a godsend to all us every day ladies with our wonderful lumps and bumps ❤️
She looked beautiful in all the outfits. I so needed this video. It helped me understand why I gravitate to certain styles and the top extending below the waist with a shorter top overtop is genius. Thanks for this one. Saving it!
Stunning model! I loved everything you styled Denise in. You really showed off her assets with spot on pieces and her beautiful face showed confidence! If I were her I'd buy everything you styled her in! Bravo for another learning session.
How fascinating to hear you articulate so clearly what I've been doing for years without putting words to it! V necks, scoop necks, scarves, and open cardigans visually break up the expanse of my big chest and belly, and wider pants and longer skirts balance them out. I recall a friend complimenting my legs and saying I should show them off more in shorter skirts. But I intuitively knew I look and feel better when my overall silhouette is more balanced. I also know from experience that a well-placed skirt slit can do wonders if one wants to look flirty. Even as a very plus-sized woman with a significant belly, I have turned heads in a good way when walking in an ultra-long skirt with side slits on either side to just above the knee. An intermittent flash of skin is often much more intriguing than putting one's assets on full display.
You’re amazing! I’m going to show this to my mum and use this tips for myself. All those outfits suit her body shape so well! You’re got the right ideas and brilliant styling tips. Thank you!
Hi! I'm so happy i watched some of your videos!! I tried your tip on wearing a belt even with a big tummy. I did it and went out to several places and got so many lovely compliments on how beautiful i looked. It worked!! Thank you so much!!! 💕
Denise IS beautiful!!! I love her hair! I loved all the looks and I appreciated how you take her seriously when she says what feels comfortable to her. I think that’s one huge thing I’m learning from you-that my wardrobe really needs to fit my lifestyle-AND it can still be stylish. I have a similar but larger apple than Denise and I’m really grateful to her for modeling. I can imagine it wasn’t always comfortable but it helped me (and others from the looks of the comments!) so much! Thank you, Denise! Thank you, Melissa!!! 🥰❤️
Thank you for your lovely heartfelt comments. I read every one of my comments and I know Denise is checking them too so reading such lovely things certainly encourages me to keep on going and I know it makes my volunteers feel good so big thank you to you too 😘😘😘
Omg the moment you made the comment about "we think we have to show the legs off" I was like I've been doing everything so wrong my entire life 🥲 My mom didn't know anything about style and now that I've had two kids, and I have an apple shape as well, this was so helpful! I look forward to trying all of these out!
This really is a helpful video Melissa as so little advice for this type of shape usually which,in my opinion, is one of the hardest shapes to dress well. Your suggestions are spot on and model Denise looks really great in the chosen outfits and colours. Would love to see you dress an older lady who has a similar shape but maybe doesnt want to show arms/shoulders quite so much. Super helpful tips though and great to see your ideas on real people. Thank you.
How courageous Miss Denise is for allowing you to put her on the internet!! I personally think you did wonderful at giving her many options for styling herself and all of them looked very appropriate, comfortable, stylish, and suited her body type!! I am curious if she liked any particular outfits more than others, as well as if she was able to take home any of those pieces? I hope that you, Miss Denise, left there feeling more confident, beautiful, and stylish then when you arrived! You're a beautiful woman! God bless!🙏
The floral dress and the white jumpsuit looks fabulous on both of you! I guess I'm an apple shape with larger bust, but I also have heavy arms and legs and I'm only 5'2, so I *think* some of these would work for me but you did a great job with all of her looks!
Fantastic video, super model, everything shown was amazing, I still cannot quite believe what a difference the long drop necklace made, I especially loved the last dress. Thank you both & 4 legged assistant !!
I just realized that I bought jeans that I shouldn’t have. I am a shorter version of Denise and I bought skinny jeans. I thought they looked good but when my husband took a photo of me in my new outfit all I could see was how big my upper body looked😳 Thanks for sharing your expertise 😊
I absolutely love your videos Melissa, I think the outfits you styled are gorgeous. Especially the flowery dress and the next outfit with long cardigan. Always looking forward to your videos😊 and thanks for the bracelet fastening gadget tip, this is also why I love your videos, you always have life saving hacks!
Thankyou Melissa! This is my shape but I'm 5'4". Great tutorial 👍 I've just received my Lilysilk taupe hoody and silk vest in black! Can't wait to try them on. I'm now looking for a non frumpy mother of the bride dress for March.. following your tips.. I think it will be long, V necked and three quarter sleeved! Thankyou so much 💓

❤ so very grateful for you! The first time I’ve seen what works for my funky little apple shape. Thank you!
Huge shout out to your model. I never see people my shape. This is so incredibly helpful. I could cry seeing representation on my size. Thank you!
Same! That's my body type too!
You're very welcome, i'm so glad it's helped. x
Superb Video! These Comparisons are spot on, can't wait to show my daughter!
Gorgeous lady!
Me too!! Many thanks 💐🦸♀️
There are so many styling channels. This one stands head and shoulders over them because you take the time and put real effort into showing us how it works. I really appreciate that. Good job.
Wow, thank you so much, that’s very kind of you to say xx
I could not agree more!
Grateful.
Me too, Arlene. I'm north of 50, and if I'm honest, north of 60! This is helping so much.
Thank you ladies, I appreciate your support and i'll pass your lovey comments on to Denise. x
@@mmpersonalstyling 💞🇦🇺
I'm with you on the belts. I'm built just like this including the long skinny legs. I hate belts around my middle as I virtually have no waist. I also could NOT wear the jumpsuit with the line that should be under the bust hitting me in the middle. But tons of great tips here for people shaped like me! Thanks!
I Agree! She had some great tips but Looked way better and much more flattering without the belts.
Thank you. I really appreciate those comments as kindness is at the heart of everything x
Monty is adorable...no need to apologize! Great examples in the video too!
I've made that mistake of wearing leggings, thinking I would show off my skinny legs, but I looked like an apple on a stick. So great advice, cheers!
You're very welcome, thanks for watching x
Hello 👋how are you doing?
The model is absolutely STUNNING.
Yes she is so she would've looked good in a plastic bag to be fair!!
Loved all these outfits- fabulous styling! Id love to see a picture of all the outfits together in the final frame 😊
Thank you.
Ha you’ve just said exactly what I was trying to express in my comment! I feel exactly the same way.
Thank you Michele, I love hearing that the videos are helping a few of you and it encourages me to make more. Thank you x
Right??? I’m in my 40s and have avoided necklaces but no more! Wow! 🤩
Me too. Have never really used necklaces but seeing it all in real life makes a huge difference. Thank you! And hi Monty.😊
Loved that you kept Monty in the video... He's a wonderful character!!!
This series is brilliant Melissa! Definitely an apple shape here, and petite also, I never ever wear belts because there is no room between my bust and my middle for it. You address the things most stylists don't take into account and that is not every style tip works for every body shape! Am loving your content! Thank you!
Thank you for watching xx
Exactly!!! Same here!! Apple shape and 5'3" on my tip toes. GRRR
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much x
Not just me then!
And I wish I could "like" R Jones reply twice! Exactly what I thought - genuine article, you are, Melissa. Real tips and helpful ideas.
What do you mean brave? Denise has a great body, far more womanly than this presenter.
That’s very nice of you to say so, thank you. I’m just trying to keep in real!!! X
Amazing how the necklace transforms and finishes the look. I’m off necklace shopping!
You are such a gifted teacher! I’m so thankful RUclips suggested your videos to me! I’ve learned so much from you, Melissa! Love from Iowa, USA!
I have never seen a better video of styling a body shape. Amazing reasoning of flattering versus unflattering views with great pictures side by side.
Wow, thank you!
OMG she’s me! Thank you so much! So wonderful ❤️👍🍎. It’s always nice to see yourself represented when you very rarely do.
Hi how are you doing?
So glad you did this body shape! I, too, have a "thick" trunk and very (too) slender legs and ankles. It's takes lots of planning to not look misshapen, or off balanced. So many of us do have that middle age spread around the torso. I usually just stick to a dark top and light colored bottoms. I like the styles and reasonings for them that you offer! Thanks.
You're very welcome x
Denise looks absolutely gorgeous in everything you chose ❤️
Denise looks like one of those women I admire while walking through the airport. 😁 All the outfits were so chic on her. I used to have that shape. After losing weight, I still don’t have a super small waist, but I was able to change my shape into an inverted triangle. Like Denise, I also liked wearing belts and felt, although counterintuitive, it actually looked better.
I'll pass your lovely comments on to her, thank you x
Fabulous visual tips! This is SO incredibly helpful seeing your pointers on so many types of outfits. The quick ‘this vs this’ is a powerful visual that makes what you’re saying so clear and obvious. Love it! Thank you!
I'm so glad you found it useful - it makes it all worth! x
I found this at just the right time! After having children, I have a generous bust and waistline, and this is really helping me learn how to flatter my new body shape. It’s super important for me as I get back into the professional workplace, so thank you to both of you!
Thank you for watching 😘
Brilliant , you have given me lots of good visual advice, your model was brilliant and the clothes really suited her, just the comparison between two different sizes and shapes was amazing, and also permission to be a size 14 with extra flesh and still look good and feel confident. Thank you 🙏 xx
You're very welcome x
You're very welcome, thank you for watching my videos. xx
Great video--- so effective to see the “dos” and the “don’t”--- it really drives the point home!
I loved this video, the model was absolutely gorgeous, and I loved seeing Monty!
You are the best stylist I have come across on youtube! I also really appreciate that you don't use the word frumpy.
I'm so glad!
Go for it! 😊
Hello 👋 dear how are you doing?
This was a perfect MasterClass! Your model was smiling all of the way through, and that’s what I love 💕
I'm 29 and only just realising I'm an apple shape - my legs have always been skinny but man do I carry weight around my middle! I've always worn skinny jeans with loose baggy tops - this video was so helpful in understanding better how I might be able to balance my shape out, thank you!
You’re very welcome, I really hope it helps you x
You're very welcome Ewa, thank you for watching x
Thank you for this! I am excited that maybe I can wear belts after all. It's also great for me to get some new style ideas.
You're so welcome!
You've got this - just remember it's all about balance and try and 'balance' out the areas that you can adjust and don't focus on the areas that you can't influence. x
I feel the same way! Good luck on shopping. Have your phone with you! I am going shopping too!
The little white top under the first blue patterned top really made the models proportions work!
Thank you Julie, i'll definitely pass on your comments. x
Monty has my heart, snoozing in that chair with his floppy paws hanging down. 💖
Melissa you have changed my wardrobe, changed my confidence...changed my life. Thank you. 🌟
Thank you Violet, that's so incredibly nice of you to say those things x
I’ve been feeling like I’ve lost my way with what suits me as I’ve got older but your vlogs have really inspired me to rethink my wardrobe and flip my body shape to what will look better - thank you so much 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Welcome and thank you! X
It’s amazing how we dress changes our look so much, I am learning so much from your video. Always ready to click on instantly 🤩🇺🇸💛
Thank you!
Thank you so much. x
The flowery dress and jacket. I tried it and was/ is fabulous. Thanks 🙏🙏👍
Beautiful model and beautiful styling work. I'm learning so much from you.
Hello dear, how are you doing?
Melissa-I love everything you did for Denise.
Denise - you look amazing in every outfit!
Same boat… short, mama tummy and a bust that has grown from a 32 B to a 36 B or DD depending on bra company. So discouraged
Oh thank you! Go and treat yourself to it before it sells out!!!
I'm a smaller version of this body type. I loved all the affordable clothing options you provided. I'm so grateful for this video!
I wish I had you in my closet every day. You suggest things I’ve never thought of and you make so much sense! I suppose that’s why you’re the professional! 😂🌺Mary xx
Thank you Mary! x
Glad you enjoyed it!
Denise is my exact body type! And I’m a size 6 but built exactly as her. You did a fantastic job! You’re the best stylist I’ve ever come across.
Oh wow - not sure about that but I’ll take it, thank you!!!
This was a fabulous video. You made her look so good. We just have to know how to dress our bodies, and we can all look great!
You’re so right! X
Great tips and love your clothes choices, I love how Monty enjoyed getting involved 😂
🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
Hello Karen how are you doing?
Our pleasure!
Loved the video and thought the styling made such a difference. A beautiful lady who really seemed happy to embrace your suggestions. I thought the white top with the frill looked great but we all have our likes and dislikes. Thanks to you and your lovely model. x
I totally agree! Thanks for watching x
I was amazed at how much the small differences made such big differences. I loved the white dress without the belt! I must get a long necklace!
Thank you, Melissa. I'm shopping for a dress for my son's wedding and this answers why I didn't like what I had tried and what I should be looking for!
Oh good. I hope your son has a lovely wedding x
As many other women have said beautifully done. Denise was spot on as my body shape. You’re such a great teacher with a warm and kind soul.
That's nice of you to say, thank you x
Thank you so much for this video. Your model is beautiful. Such a helpful video as my body shape has changed from my busty hourglass of my youth to now being apple shaped, but still with the bigger on top, I’ve totally lost how I should dress. This resonated so much. Thank you, thank you. There is hope for me!
I definitely relate to her shape, and this is one of the best videos I've seen addressing those issues. She looks great in every outfit you styled. I love the frilly white top and pink pants. She needs to give that a try. Thanks for all of the useful hints.
Glad it was helpful!
Another great video Melissa, I I can see a lot of my bodyshape in Denise. I loved your suggestions for her, she looked amazing
Karen
Thank you Karen x
Really informational class for all of us with this type of body shape, you showed us side to side how can we improve our looks for every occasion even with accessories, now I could see what pieces of my closet could work better for me and look good and best of all feel good and with confidence with my image and stop to hide me inside the clothes. I always joke that my body shape is like a lollipop. Thank you for share your knowledge with us in a respectful manner. And a thumbs up for you and your model.
My pleasure xx
I just love your dog!!! 😍❣️ Please have him in your videos!!! He’s just an extra treat!!! 🤩🥰 Love from Sweden 🇸🇪❣️
a dog always makes everything better!
So grateful to Denise for allowing you to film your session. I love that we're all here together, keeping it real about our challenges. I learn SO much more from real life models. Melissa, you knocked it out of the park. The jumpsuits were my favorite. The pink floral dress would be lovely for a shower or party.
ahhh, thank you so much xx
After pregnancy my body just wont go back to my previous shape and it is very frustrating, always feeling ugly bc i have no clue how to dress up anymore but now i found your channel and i almost cried in happinesses! All i need for this point of my life.
Thank you very much for teaching us with more rounded body types that its still possible to dress up elegantly on our daily basics. Pls do more videos like this! Most of fashion is made for skinny body types which leaves the other type of bodies out of fashion with only options of ugly tshirts and gym leggings 24/7 😵💫
Gorgeous makeover!
Thank you, that's incredibly nice of you to say so.
Thank you so much. It did help that she had such a pretty face and already looked so good!!
How fascinating to hear you articulate so clearly what I've been doing for years without putting words to it!
V necks, scoop necks, scarves, and open cardigans visually break up the expanse of my big chest and belly,
and wider pants and longer skirts balance them out.
Thank you!
Thank you so much 😊
Hi! I'm so happy i watched some of your videos!! I tried your tip on wearing a belt even with a big tummy. I did it and went out to several places and got so many lovely compliments on how beautiful i looked. It worked!! Thank you so much!!! 💕
That’s brilliant to hear, I’m so pleased for you x
I read every one of my comments and I know Denise is checking them too so reading such lovely things certainly encourages me to keep on going and I know it makes my volunteers feel good so big thank you to you too 😘😘😘
Omg the moment you made the comment about "we think we have to show the legs off" I was like I've been doing everything so wrong my entire life 🥲
My mom didn't know anything about style and now that I've had two kids, and I have an apple shape as well, this was so helpful! I look forward to trying all of these out!
Oh good x
What I would wear is a longer skirt, with a side split or open buttons at front to just give a 'flash' if I had great legs. ( (I'm a woman, not Keith)
Thank you.
You’re in luck Alison, my next model is 73, big busted apple and the one after that is a lady of colour size 22 so lots of variety coming up!
God bless!🙏
Thank you! Yes, she did take home a lot of the outfits and has since had lots of lovely comments so she's very pleased with updated look. x
Love Denise and love Monty. Not my shape but helpful to understand the principles. Thanks Melissa !
Hi how are you doing?
The model looks gorgeous in all those outfits. Thanks for sharing with us, very pretty. 🥰
Such a helpful video!! Thank you!! Love seeing models in different shapes that I can relate to. Love your videos so much!
Thank you, I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. x
I just realized that I bought jeans that I shouldn’t have. I am a shorter version of Denise and I bought skinny jeans.
I thought they looked good but when my husband took a photo of me in my new outfit all I could see was how big my upper body looked😳
Thanks for sharing your expertise 😊
I absolutely love your videos Melissa, I think the outfits you styled are gorgeous. Especially the flowery dress and the next outfit with long cardigan.
Always looking forward to your videos😊 and thanks for the bracelet fastening gadget tip, this is also why I love your videos, you always have life saving hacks!
Glad you like them! Thank you for watching x
On my goodness! This is amazing! This is the only styling video that has ever made sense to me. Thank you
Try this one, I posted it today. Hope you enjoy x ruclips.net/video/yBx40E7URcY/видео.html
