Great content steve, I'm a developing trader and learning a lot from this channel and it have helped me a alot in building my core day trading fundamentals. I have a question that: Assume there's an earning call and it's not as expected stock tend to chop a lot in initial 15 mins or so, how should we manage these kind of scenarios. 1. Should we wait out 15 mins for chop to end and find a small pivot to trade off from or 2.Keep building small positions in chop with the news bias with a bigger sl.
I watched 165 and 170 call options exp 4/8 go up 2,000-2,500% for about 10 minutes after the news. I made 400% on calls on the way back up after Musk squashed the Reuters article.
@@happyforever835 I use multiple sources for news. But as a retail trader who doesn't have access to a Bloomberg terminal(too expensive), by the time I see the news, I've already missed the part of the move the puts the risk reward in my favor and I don't like to chase. I focus more on momentum scalping with options and mean reversion.

Bloomberg.
Bloomberg terminal but very expensive unless you can get access via a prop firm or similar.
