No matter what ya gotta include California Dreaming since "all the leaves brown and the sky is grey"🍁🍂.. and in the video they are bundled up for cool weather. 😀🧣🧥
I've always thought that "I Can Hear Music", with it's sleighbells in the background was a perfect winter song. The Beach Boys in winter. Approprietly, the song came out in winter... February of 1969. Brian's use of sleighbells was really creative. You hear it in the background in "Dance, Dance, Dance".
Really great tracklist! I was 100% expecting I Went to Sleep. That and Time to Get Alone made 20/20 an unignorable album when I first listened to it. Friends and Smiley Smile are perfect for autumn!
Nothing says autumn like the Phoenix-summer-like heatwave of "Santa Ana Winds" - that and the smog of the Inland Empire and LA Basin hovering over the coast 8-P
Giggens...... I've always loved Day in the Life of a Tree ever since I got the album in '71. But....I've never heard just the backing track and backing vocals before. Incredible!! This probably sounds strange...but this song has always reminded me of God Only Knows how at the end all the voices come in over each other. Both are so beautiful and peaceful. Thanks for the heads up. Lamont
Great list! Gonna give this a spin sometime :) I had fun trying to guess which songs you'd think were autumnal before you finished the track list while watching haha. I especially liked the inclusion of "Let The Wind Blow", for some reason it made me think of including "I Went to Sleep" but I couldn't decide if that one was fall or rather spring. It's definitely not summer or winter to me.
Can't believe you didn’t include In the Back of My Mind, that song just reeks of a sitting by a fireplace on a cool day while the leaves outside turn brown and fall to the ground.
Very interesting selection - I've never listened to Day in the Life without the lead vocal - just incredible and it's like a totally different listening experience. How about "Keeping the Summer Alive" being a Fall track. Feels very much like an end of summer/beginning of autumn theme.
Don't forget "Summer's Gone", possibly the last Beach Boys song.
Totally!
Great choice!
Bonus track: “Fall Breaks And Back To Winter (Woody Woodpecker Symphony)”😊
Hahaha!

Oh I can dig that!
I Went to Sleep from 20/20 would be a perfect addition.
For sure!
Cuddle Up
Perfect choice!
I think "Goin' South" would also make a good addition.
Oooo yes!!
Nice tracklist Gig.
pet sounds is pretty autumnal
For sure!

Love those choices too!
A lot of the Wild Honey album to be honest.
Most of it haha!

It's just the vibe of the song hahaha
@@Giggens guess I'm just triggered by a cool song about heat stroke haha

I can dig that! Yeah, this version of the song is basically a whole different song haha!
Perfect place to put the MIU/LA Light version of Santa Ana Winds, and maybe Looking Down the Coast/Monterey
Ooo I can dig those!
With this track listing, it would be the best album they did post-Holland.
Absoutely!
Great track list! I would have included "It's Natural" from Feel Flows as well- "The autumn harvest inspires a Thanksgiving refrain..."
There we go!!
My list would also include Smiley Smile's Wind Chimes (the wind again) and Vegetables (the crop time) !
I can dig it!

I almost added I Went to Sleep!
Pet Sounds has always been fall-coded for me. Maybe it's just the album cover that does it.
It's def a fall album!

Keep an eye in summer. And of course ding dang on loop
Hahaha!

I was thinking about that one, but passed on it because it's a little too high energy for the other chill tracks haha
How about “Be True To Your School” for back to school? Would kill your playlist’s vibe tho, haha!
I see it, but I also dont hahaha
Can’t believe you didn’t name it “Autumn Days (And Autumn Nights!!)” 😊
AHHH perfect!!
