  • The GKTECH V1 4130 high tensile offset steering rack extenders screw on to the end of either standard or aftermarket tie rods and allow the tie rods to travel further into the steering rack which creates more steering lock with the added bonus of moving the tie rod position forward 0.98" (25mm) which helps reduce steering bind. Great for drift or getting out of parking spots.
    The offset rack spacers are a great alternative to moving the steering rack forward and offer 0.74" (19mm) extra steering lock without compromising on the amount of thread left in the steering rack.
    - DIY installation (not as easy as the washer install but still not hard at all)
    - CNC machined high tensile zinc coated 4130 steel with grade 12.9 bolts
    Vehicle Compatibility:
    - Nissan S13 240sx
    - Nissan S13 Silvia
    - Nissan S14 240SX
    - Nissan S14 Silvia
    - Nissan S15 Silvia

    - Nissan Cefiro A31
    - Nissan Z32 300ZX

    *Note*
    Our older version (which is shown in this video) had two different sized offset rack spacers, one short and one long, however, we revised the design to have them both at equal length. You just need to ensure they are sitting horizontal and facing forward, as the video mentions!

    Do these help with the Z33 “falling into lock” on the factory 2pc arms with your bolt on angle kit? I have mine setup on the more equal Ackerman setup and still experience this. I do plan on getting the upper arms and 1 pc lowers in the future!

    How much will This pieces improve the angle ? And I have to ask, is it recommended to use the angle kit plus this racks?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  Год назад

      The straight type rack spacer is best used with the angle kit if you are not using a super lock LCA

    When installed into the key way of the rack my spacers are not sitting horizontal. It is in between horizontal and vertical. Anyone know why. I have a brand new rack from koru works, could it have something to do with that?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  3 месяца назад

      This is common, it will require new notches in the rack. This is shown on the website and products should have a note explaining so - if unsure please email sales@gktech.com

      Sorry for the confusion but that is our latest revision!, I will update the description to avoid any possible confusion!
      Our older revision had two different sized offset rack spacers, one short and one long, however, we revised the design to have them both at equal length, so that you did not need to center your rack again.
      You just need to ensure they are sitting horizontal and facing forward as you would have done anyway.
      Again, sorry for the confusion caused but it is currently a transitional period between changing over to the new model and we are yet to publicly change the install guides/ video!

    Whats the difference between the offset space and the other spacer you guys offer?

    • @portnocturnal3469
      @portnocturnal3469 3 года назад

      These offset spacers move your tie rod pickup point more forward, helps to reduce over centering and bind, I ran the normal spacers and it was great but now I have the super lock arms and you definitely are going to want the offset spacers so you can utilize your full angle without ruining your "seat time" or rack

    • @gktech
      @gktech  3 года назад

      If you are unable to move your rack forward, which is the best option to reduce steering bind then you would choose these as they allow more rack travel and move the pickup point further forward.
      However, if you already have moved your rack forward (which reduces bind) and need the extra rack travel, then you would go the bolt on rack spacers.

    A bit confused, as with the previous spacers ( the big one + the washer looking one ) apart from having to center the the steering wheel,you had to cut the outer tie rod and the inner , because of the toe issue , is that the same with this ?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  Год назад

      Yes, this will require trimming of the tie rods.

    • @alexandrugrajdan8755
      @alexandrugrajdan8755 Год назад

      @@gktech are you referring to the small trimming as shown in the video where the tie rod was clashing on full lock ?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  Год назад

      @@alexandrugrajdan8755 No, on the overall length of the inner tie rod. If you are unsure contact sales@gktech.com VIA email and they will assist.

    I daily drive my 240sx and have been kicking myself about installing these because there is no dust boot solution how bad would this wear on my steering rack driving it so often?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  3 года назад

      Some people do find large dustboots from other cars to suit, that are from a stiffer rubber to maintain the shape if you wanted. The wear on the rack is subjective, so long as it is checked with every service, I can't see there being any issues!

    Is this a good addition to your bolt on angle kit ?

    • @portnocturnal3469
      @portnocturnal3469 3 года назад +2

      YES ABSOLUTLEY but if you dont have the Super lock arms you'll be better off with the normal rack spacers for now (theyre cheaper) but if you plan on getting super lock then I'd get these in prep for it never rob yourself of deserved angle 🤙

    • @gktech
      @gktech  3 года назад

      As Port Nocturnal mentioned, YES, they are haha!
      They offer more rack travel whilst also moving your inner tie rod pivot point forward, which having it further forward avoids any steering bind, preferably you would move your entire rack forward but if you are unable to, then these bad boys will do the trick!
