I bought a Charvel and put in a toneknob. I use it alot for solotones. It is great for getting a different flavour and it can’t be replicated in the amp.
Good to hear positives things about this guitar, I've been looking at their superstrats for the last few months trying to figure which one I'd get. My two biggest worries were the pickups as well as the feel, I've never ordered a guitar online so any instrument I've bought I was able to try it out first and without that safety net I'm sort of afraid to pull the trigger on it. I've heard really good things about the pickups, but I find pickups respond differently to different players/play styles and again I'd have to try that out for myself. Other than that great review!
Tone knobs are actually really important if you want to get Celtic Frost's/Triptykon's tone, because you need to roll down the tone knob completely. It's very difficult to replicate their sound otherwise. Also, if you are into Opeth and playing jazzy-bluesy low gain solos in the mid of your Death Metal tunes, having a tone knob could also be helpful.
I have this strap from Levy’s Leathers that I got 10 years ago at a local music shop. It has like 2 layers of leather and the bottom of it is super soft and comfy. You’ll see it in a bunch of my improvisation videos with my Tele. I dig this guitar though. Caught my eye while saving up for a Black Metal Arrow.
Hi, thanks for the review. I own a E2.6 trans blood red and I absolutly like it. I really want a Solar V but I'm a bit affraid about 25.5 scale. I have a Bacchus Tele and I don't feel completly at ease with the long neck. I like the tone knobs :) I play stoner rock and it helps me shaping the tone on each guitar I have, the right mix betwin bass and treble. But not too much treble, I'm not a treble guy, but just enough so it doesn't sound muddy ...
I don't do metal but I play some gnarly noise stuff. The tone knob is useful from stage to stage where frequency responses differ. I find it helps with high gain when your feeding back when your not intending to.
The "EVH 5150 EL34 50 Watt" requires the use of the tone knob to kill some of the high frequencies before hitting the gain stages so the distortion doesn't lose focus on the pick attack. Generally, well-designed amps, such as the Bogner Uberschall, do not require fiddling with a tone knob.
Roll back the highs! You roll off the highs on the amp and it reduces the saturation of the higher frequencies, which is super helpful live and on record. Dave Davidson, lord of shred, gave that tip!
Lol man i only heard your covers so far and your real voice is so different. I thought you'd be more like 30 year old boomer but you sound like a happy person with actually soft voice. Keep up the good work love your songs.
Using the tone noob I find really good for doing dirty laying to give your tone more of a boost and also makes it sounds darker especially if you use cleans with a dirty layer. Idk I use the tone noobs just for laying
Bro you seem to be one of the few people that know how to review a damn guitar... Ola should send you something because without this review I wouldn't be ordering one
Dude, I'm from Canada as well and am thinking of getting a Solar V, did you have to pay much at Canada Customs? And the tone control on a metal V is turn it into a Jazz V
I just found your channel after a friend recommended you. I don’t know if you do requests for covers, but could you do “Escape from the city” from sonic adventure 2?
Would you say it's worth the money to buy this for studio compared to the standard solar V with regular string through setup? I'm going to change strings a lot and want to avoid the hazzle of risking getting out of tune because of this. The problem for me is that the V without evertune is 700 Euro and the Artist with evertune is 500 euro more on 1200. For me it's a lot of money just for getting evertune and I wonder if it's worth it, or if I'm fine with the cheaper ?
If you're looking for a nice custom strap, check out Beth Freeman. She's a really talented artist that does custom leather guitar straps and pickguards. She's @littlefreeman on instagram and BethFreemanArtist on Twitch
The only way you'll ever be able to play guitar is by getting a guitar and playing it. It may seem daunting at first but you'll love learning and improving and watching yourself get better. It really doesn't take that long to be able to get to a point where you're actually pretty good at playing :)
We all had to start somewhere :) It's easier than ever to learn how to play instruments these days, there's so many resources around, even just RUclips videos, online courses, online courses done by RUclipsrs etc We all had to start at the beginning but now with the Internet we can all learn from each other, it's easy to ask for help on something and get feedback and discover things and it's great :D Good luck! I know if you really want to play guitar that you're going to absolutely love learning! :D
Didn't see this until now! Thanks for the review!
🐐
Little V got a little V
Vception
Love watching you play dude. You remind me what passion is in music.
Thank you -Dark Souls- Canada
O, Canada; whoah, Canada. 😜

SICK!!!!!!
Look, i'm just saying that Metal Musicians should consider playing in this kind of tone!

That sound at 4:40, a small detail but so powerful with the modulation !

I love this brand. Powerful but versatile.
Need a A2.6 or 7 in TBRM. Perhaps for Christmas.
5:53 until 6:30 words to live by.
Always remember that, kids.
Also at 6:36 the temptation is real lol

Now do a cover of VVVVVV to make it perfect Little V ! :D
And i use my tone knob , all the way up or down , but i use it ! :')

It might be the pickups in my guitar, but I roll the tone knob back to about 7.5 - 8 to tame the harshness when I play clean stuff
That song you played reminds me of the sonic battle 2 game i used to play on the gamecube.
It is the same song he is playing haha. It's called Live and Learn by Crush 40.
Hell yeah, brother! 😎

Does the input jack get in the way when standing and plugged in? Please let me know! Anything to avoid it if so?
"Neck Dive" they said. HAHAHAAHAH, AWESOME video bro, thank you soooooo much for the info, that's the video that I was looking for. Hell yeah
Looks and sounds great.
I would like to see you do a cover of the Asobi Asobase ending Inkya Impulse
I always wondered why you never had a V. I cant wait to see that bad boy in future vids

You’re not the only Canadian who’s gonna get a solar guitar 😉
Question about this when you are standing up playing this V does the input jack on the back of the V jab at your leg? Heard some issues about this

ogdooh I think this one also has locking tuners and stainless steel frets
@@owengonzales53 ah okay thanks =)
Some folks are saying that the jack hits their leg while standing with this guitar.. Any issues with this??
How is the cable jack placement now that you've had the guitar for a while? Does it get in the way staning up at all??

What’s the name of the song you were playing in the intro?
I love my Solar A2.6C :D
Not "Ibanez" light, but is it "Jackson" light?
Damn the suspense
How light is this exactly?
Is this the same model as the V1.6C ?
How much was the duty/import charges to buy this guitar, I also live in canada. Great demo btw. Thanks!
@@martina753 sorry. I didnt.
Nice one!
You know, you two could be great partner. I always want a Chapman guitar but, alas, i can't play it.
Why can't you play one, out of interest?
What i mean is, i want to play guitar but i can't.

That sounds not really bad, i think i should try that! Thanks, buddy.
