An absolutely killer watch with increadable specs. I purchased the Conquest in 41mm--I'm so happy I did! The 72 power reserve and 300 meters of water resistant is steller, especially for the price. This is an extremely versatile watch that can be worn for any occasion. Value, heritage, and versatility is what this watch is all about.
Fantastic watch, i have this piece for 2 years, and i love it every day. Very good quality, looks good on hand, looks not cheap, fantastic watch from Longines. I love this brand. Much better then TISSOT.
I just bought this watch and I am thrilled. So elegant and sporty. Looks great with a suit or casual clothes. Respected brand but not something I see everyday. Quality is evident you would need to pay so much more to find a comparable watch.
Finally found one. This specific model (39mm, auto, black) is on back order everywhere, even direct from Longines. I found only one AD that actually has one, brand new, in stock ready to ship. All others have a huge lead time (weeks) before delivery. The one I found?…..3 days. Maybe Longines will be discontinuing this model. Anyway, I now own it and it has easily become my favorite in a modest collection of 6. I see reviews of the Rolex Explorer and every time I’m glad I went in this direction. The value/money prop is just insane. Love this dial.
I’ve had this watch for a few years. Doesn’t get much YT love, but it’s fantastic. Feels so much more expensive than it is, but it is realistic to wear everyday. I never get bored with this, and it makes me feel good. Lume is a bit rubbish, but I forgive it, as it’s gorgeous.
Hey, Do you still own the watch? If yes i would very much like to know, is it really a magnet for scratches as claimed by some watch enthusiasts? Thanks.
I really want to buy the blue version of it. The raised indices make it so good looking. Can't afford it yet, but almost guaranteed, the conquest will be my next expensive watch.
literally in love with this watch, black dial is my favourite right now, my only wish was that used applied markers for it, (i dont need lume), great video as always, thanks for covering this one Teddy!
Yup … definitely on my hit list. I’ve been looking for The One (Longines) and this one’s the one. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have continued success in 2022.
I’m considering this piece. I notice you left your comment 5 months ago, I’m wondering what your semi-long term opinion is at this point. Likes? Dislikes? Thx 😊👍🏼
Just received mine, exactly like the one on the review, loved it as much as my Grand Seiko SBGR253, Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra and Tudor Black Bay 41, what a great watch.
Teddy, you are the best. I have recently bought this model, my decision being largely supported by your opinion. Among all the watchmakers that you review and appreciate, I miss the Atlantic. Definitively worth looking into.
This is an interesting option, I enjoy the high polish shiny bezel as it adds an element of flash to the design. Quality of the brushing and polishing appears to be quite nice for the price as well. I like the dimensions too it makes for a pretty wearable watch. May have to add this one to my collection down the road here!
I own this watch for more than 3 years. It´s my everyday beater and I can´t imagine more versatile and more reliable watch for this price (I bought it for just 960 €)
I just ordered this watch as a self-gift to celebrate a personal achievement, can't wait. Seems like a nice step-up from a Tissot or Hamilton, and it will keep me happy until I finally buy my Oyster Perpetual.
Kind of wish they have a 36mm variant of this, just like the Rolex Explorer 36mm. The 47mm lug to lug actually just rides a smidge too large for my tiny wrists.
I got it, with the blue dial. It's just supreme. One downside: the bracelet links are way too big and adjusting sometimes needs to be done with half-link. Mind you, the blue dial has no hands luminosity, while the black one shines at night. The blue dial is a little bit more elegant and suite-able, while the black is more sporty and versatile. I'm actually considering switching them.
Hey teddy. This is a great watch. I just wish they had applied markers like some of their other models. Please could you review the omega seamaster 300 diver. Love to hear your take on it. Keep up the great work
Longines would do well to offer a version of this witout those arabics. Amazed they haven't by now, it would be so easy to produce an all baton option. Those chunky numbers put me off, years and years ago when I was seriously considering one.
Great watch. Love mine. Scratched the Explorer itch for me. Love that case back too: The very oldest of old school emblems! (Oldest trademarked brand emblem.)
I'm really taken by this watch, I am visually disabled and the legibility of the dial is excellent. The only downsides I see are the lume and lug sizes. I must get to an AD. Excellent presentation as usual Teddy. I didn't k ow you were named after my dog! See thumbnail. 😀
The jump between 34mm quartz and 39mm auto is probably the only snag point. Had they made a 36/37mm auto just $100 less than the 39mm, this would have been superior to an explorer in nearly every single aspect.
The Conquest is a good choice. There is a steal of a watch in the Longines Master Collection - there's a bona fide annual calendar watch for less than US$3k in that series. Suggest that said watch be highlighted.
Wonderful, thorough review-thank you. Truly a “do it all” watch. Own a 41 mm black dial w GMT 28000hz movement, has been rock solid. Considering this watch as well but the lack of applied markers and the polished center links which highlight scratches have made me hesitate. Appears to be a very popular watch as now quite hard to find in stock.
A great video idea would be a handful of watches with clasps that have glide lock adjustments, diver adjustments, etc. such as Rolex, Monta, some Omega models, etc. That feature has become one of the top things I look at whenever purchasing a new watch. Thanks!
I’m so glad you covered this. I’ve been considering buying it for some time but haven’t stumbled across too many reviews of the smaller automatic version. Awesome review, as always.
If someone looked at this watch and wasnt watch smart and replaced the name with Rolex you couldn't tell the difference nice looking watch and a Rolex explorer 1 or 2 is 8 thousand dollars great video
I really like this watch. The only downside for me is the huge crown guards ( one of the reasons I can't get into panerai watches) and I wish the bracelet would taper but that's not a deal breaker. This would look really good on a dark brown rustic leather strap.
Very nice 👌🏽 unfortunately your site currently doesn’t have it in stock. I had it in my cart ready to check out only to realize later that it was no longer available. I hope to see it up again soon!
Really cool watch. But I can't understand why Longines continues to use the stupid clasps with no micro ajust. If the clasp has quick ajust the watch will be a killer!
If you look at the watch on Longine's site and enlarge it, the 1 is not higher than the 2. You can see this by laying a straight edge over the top of the 2. The fact it appears higher here is an artifact most likely of the video process either on Baldassare's end or RUclips's. There's also an optical illusion factor where the slightly curved horizontal top of the 2 just strikes the eye as lower than the vertical of the 1.
@@greenteaenjoyer9068You're pointing to another video. I repeat, look at a site where there's a still close-up of the watch face either Longine's, Jomashop or whatever. Place a ruler or credit card on the top edge of the "2" and you'll see that none of the "1" is visible. I agree however that Longiness made a graphic mistake. They should have shortened the "1" to eliminate the illusion.
It's because the font and the way the top of the "2" slopes down makes it *appear* it's shorter, but in fact both are same height. The very top of the 2 and the 1 are both at same height if you place a straight edge over them to check.
I like a lot this watch. Resembles the explorer. Not sure the price point though. Is a Longines Conquest ($1300) worth the price as it doubles in price a Tissot Gentlement ($650)?
I'm starting to see the 39mm version of this watch disappear ...at least in Black and Blue dial variations. They are not available on your e-commerce site and Longines only has the Silver dial version marketed on their site. Has the 41mm taking the place of the 39mm?
Hi Teddy, do you know if Longines will produce HydroConquest with ceramic bezel also in 39mm size? currently it is only available in larger sizes from 41mm onwards ...
I'm in the market for this but deciding between the blue and black dial is killing me. Blue my favourite colour with applied indices but I do like the lume on the black
Good that someone 😌 cares about the Swiss Made watches. Dropped Seiko as being a childish brand several years ago. A 3 watch collection is one decision that I'm proud and happy of: an Omega 300 white, a Tudor and a Longines Silver Arrow
Hey Teddy, I'm looking to buy the 39mm, but it says not found on your website. Do they only have the 41 and 43 mm now? Let me know if you still sell the 39mm size.

Not a particularly original design in my opinion. Very similar Explorer design markers. I don’t like the crown set up, as I find some of these really fiddly at times. However, it is a clean look and at the price point not bad value at all considering the ETA engine.
I preferer so much this one over the new Conquest 2023
This and the hydroconquest are so underrated. I'm happy that you are giving this watch its due.
I have gained a new appreciation for Longines recently. Some of their reissues have been aesthetically great and movement wise very competent.

I have one on the way.. ordered a month ago. Is the line functional? Doesn't have to be Seiko lume, but is it doable?
Much as I love my watch, it is the best I have. It is comfortable, smart, quality, so so accurate, the lume on mine is barely visible.
Hey,
Do you still own the watch? If yes i would very much like to know, is it really a magnet for scratches as claimed by some watch enthusiasts?
Thanks.
Still got it. Still love it. I am careful with it, but it doesnt have a mark. Every bit as tough, as the big divers.
the black version have lume
I really want to buy the blue version of it. The raised indices make it so good looking. Can't afford it yet, but almost guaranteed, the conquest will be my next expensive watch.
I just bought the blue one yesterday! Waiting on delivery as I write….🤤😍👍🏼

literally in love with this watch, black dial is my favourite right now, my only wish was that used applied markers for it, (i dont need lume), great video as always, thanks for covering this one Teddy!
Explorer-ish dial. I like it, and the 39 mm is the right decision. Kudos to Longines, this and the Flagship Heritage can make a great collection!
Yup … definitely on my hit list.
I’ve been looking for The One (Longines) and this one’s the one.

I think Longines should make a 36mm, No Date version to rival the Explorer. I know I’d be all over that particular model.
🤞🏼
All the best

I think there a lot of women’s watches in that size.
I just ordered this watch as a self-gift to celebrate a personal achievement, can't wait. Seems like a nice step-up from a Tissot or Hamilton, and it will keep me happy until I finally buy my Oyster Perpetual.
Super sharp. Longines doesn't disappoint. My Bigeye keeps crazy good time. Within 2 seconds.
I was planning to get Tudor Ranger or Rolex Explorer until I saw this video. Changed my mind totally.
Baz ve başlangıç bir rolex alamktansa bu daha güzel
The more and more I view this the more and more I like it. For myself I think the quartz would be the way to go.

Oh SNAP! I was about to impulse buy it and never noticed that the indeces are painted 🎨 😅 THANK YOU FOR POINTING THIS! 🤟
The blue and silver dial variants both have applied indices. For some odd reason the black dial one does not!
O had ordered a black, switched to the blue dial because this comment reminded that the numbers on the blacl dial are painted
There must be a reason why they didn't apply the indices on the black dial?! Maybe for legibility or something like that idk

Beautiful watch. I have the black 41mm quartz version.
This is going to be my next watch, in the 30mm auto version. Perfect size for me and a great GADA watch. Best part is the 300m water resistance
Also worth mentioning it has a silicon hairspring so good anti magnetic properties.

Is this a re-upload and where is the other Longines video, covering the Hydroconquest?
That 12 looks funny like the 1 and 2 are different fonts. Otherwise amazing watch.

I would have liked to see them include the 9 on the dial like the hydro but keep this bezel.
Ordered a blue one. Should be here in few weeks!

The 38 mm is not listed on a the Longines website. Smallest is 42mm at this time.
Debating between this and the Hydroqoncquest.

I wish this size had the white face!
What an absolutely gorgeous, powerful, practical watch , if it had a micro adjust within the clasp I would buy one straight away . What a shame .
It's basically the Hydroconquest without a dive bezel and clasp.
Great looking watch. Was comparing to the Tissot Ballade Silicium, Hamilton Jazzmaster, Hamilton Viewmatic, Orient Star Basic Date
39mm by 19mm lugs is a hard pass for my 8in wrist. I may look at the bigger size

Can this watch use for diving ? screw down crown ? Extra link for diving ?
Why is the "1" on the 12 hour marker higher than the "2"?! It's not aligned, massive aesthetical flaw
