Keep the tilt unlocked in rocky situations. The engine will tilt up. What I have to do with my little boat. I usually fish a river. Keeps the lower unit from breaking
Looks like a nice lake for fishing and boating. At least it wasn't a total loss Zach, you did catch a few bass, and enjoyed yourself. As for that little campsite, heck no, I can't stand spiders either!! Maybe a solo winter campout, but not when the bugs are out crawling!! Thanks for sharing your time on the water. Juddie - J & J TOA
Hi Zack! Beautiful lake you're on! Being on a new lake has its advantages, but learned the hard way you have to go really slow in checking out the terrain first. I hope the prop on the engine is alright. I'm with you and spiders, there's no way I'd camp there either, even though it's a really nice looking camp sight! Lol! I'm glad your out adventuring to all the new places. It's beautiful where you live and the house you guys just bought will be all that you want in the end. You're doing great fixing it up! Glad your closer to your dad too! Thank you for the videos, and I really enjoy you taking more of them! 🐟🕷🏠
Slow the retrieves down and fish vertically with a jig combo with a minnow, crawler or plastic every so often. Not every fish is willing to run down your super fast retrieve. Guarantee you will catch more fish.
Nothin' better than hopping in the puddle jumper and tossing cranks. Agree with you on rod setups. Bass and Northern don't need anything more than an Ugly Stick and a reel with dependable drag. I do like something a little more sensitive for lite biting walleye and mid-summer crappie (but Fenwick is as fancy as I get).
Hey Zack you have the northern Minnesota think going on! I hope you enjoy having more fishing and especially deer hunting time in the future. Congrats on the move and hope you enjoy your future in the north!
Zach, if you fish more rocky lakes like this in the future, try some different baits for smallies and walleyes. Shad raps, jerkbaits or small swimbaits would work well for both. For smallies, you can try topwater poppers, buzzbaits, smaller spinnerbaits, Ned rigs, or senkos. Daredevils and big bright spinnerbaits are going to do better in weedy areas where you're targeting largemouth and pike.
Up around Duluth there is a lake called Love lake matter of fact it has another smaller lake connected to it by a channel I've caught bass. Northerns, bullheads and sunnies the water is crystal clear ( in the smaller lake ) that you can see the bottom, my uncle had a cabin about a 1/4 from it, it had a small dock that us kids use to take our baths in and of course we used Ivory soap just because it floated, i haven't been up there for sometime now, maybe it's still there
Hey Zach, hope this finds you well. Please when you get a chance make a video about boats. I’m thinking of buying my first boat for fishing lakes/rivers. Thanks!
All those old shakespeare rods are great. Im still a young guy but even i can say they dont make them like they used to. I appreciate your attitude amd have been Really enjoying your videos.
Hey Zach, you should give some plastic baits a try, i generally have better luck with them. Tubes and twister tails Either way, bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work haha
The lake up there in Minnesota i found with the most boulders is Snowbank lake. When I was a young kid we as a family went there and stayed at Jack Pine lodge resort which has since burned down but it had so many boulders that I was running in a boat with my sisters and messed up the lower unit but it still managed to run.
you ever come across Human made rock bar's going to some Island? the Lake I grew up on had them to two island and there must of been millions of stones used as you swim 20 ft from main land to rock bar ,then you walked chest deep to the Island on them and lake was deep in parts in that area....
Joni " the dog " will feel more lethargic when you are giving her benadryl. She will seem to slow down a lot. Try finding an alternative natural spray for the mosquitos and deer flies.
Hello Sir, thank you for the video!!! Are you close enough to the Duck camp that you might go camping and fishing there when it's not duck season? Would like to see that area some other times of the year too. Thank you for all you do!!!
Hey Zack are you doing RUclips full time or do you still have a other job to? Love you and your dads videos watched for years and years keep up the good work!
Looks like great weather im here in north Carolina it's very hot I don't even want to go in my boat when you go to shore to look around do you carry a handgun? I know I would spiders don't freak me out but a bear or wolf would.
Unlock tilt and motor will go over therocks without hit them with prop. Good rod ugly stiks , thats all I use with spinner reels and either lo-vis green in stren or red line in Cajin … send me your address so I can send you a pike lure .
SPIDERS!!!!!! NO WAY!!!! NADA!!!! You can keep them.. Zach, hope you checked your underwear from that HUGE one, (joking). I would be freaking out BIG time, when it comes to SPIDERS.. Hope that the prop is ok again. Awesome find of a new lake to fish in, inspte of the rocks though. Take care from Australia. (Angela).
So glad that u are posting more zach between you and ur dad it's great ha ing all the videos
Awesome video! Loved watching along with the fishing trip! Thanks for sharing.
Do you still have your Ranger ? Haven’t seen it in your videos lately.

If that Lake was in California it would be packed full of people. Awesome to have the whole lake to yourself.

What a great way to spend some time. As they say, the worst day of fishing beats the best day of work! Great video.

Zach saw that big spider and said yep we done🤣😂.nice video
Love the sounds of the lunes.

That mosquito @ 1:40 is a freaking hummingbird! The sound of it creeps me out. LOL!
Great video! ......I don't do spiders either! ......lol
The reaction to the spiders 😂😂
I can understand the woodpeckers pecking the holes, but that spider probably pryed open his. Yikes!!! Thanks Zach.
Nice to see you posting vids, wolf spiders can get big in north east Minnesota everywhere, great trip, nice job
That’s how you fix that problem! Lmao great video Zach
🕷🕸🕷🕸🕸🕷Yipes!!! Nice lake! SO cool you are close enough to go out often.
Oops dock…..it’s ok you did better than I would. 🤭 ❤️😉 thank goodness it started for the video. Good luck. I love watching you fish. 🥳❤️💯✨🕊👼
Hello Kay
The old 10 pull blue Merc. Once they start, they are golden the rest of the day.
Looked like a wolf spider 🕷 there they love the water see them on docks in Northern Wisconsin they big .

We call those rock bass in Michigan the ones with the red eyes. Do u just call them Bass?
I know exactly what lake you’re on man! I camp there every year
Hey Zach, hope this finds you well.

Good one Zach 👍👏🎣
Can u find a lake that has Walleye and do a catch and cook please?
Hello Bailey
Hi Zack! Great job on the video!
I have never seen that many woodpecker wholes in my life either.
When that spider in the tree moved I nearly jumped off my couch! 🤦🏽♀️🤭
Hey Zach, you should give some plastic baits a try, i generally have better luck with them. Tubes and twister tails
Either way, bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work haha
Hey Zach the motor switch seems pretty good, but be extra careful about those spiders, wow! Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯✅✅✅
Spiders. No. No. No. No. No. Glad you made it out alive. Thanks for sharing.
Some people do not watch videos unless they are 20:00 long.
Hello from Newfoundland Zach you should do more overnight videos in your tent love those
How much damage did your motor get?
Wondering why there aren’t some type of markers on the rocks ? That can be dangerous to not.

Awesome! Try some soft plastics by the shore/trees. Texas rig or wacky work great for me. Anything that looks like a worm or crawfish.
I did try a texas rig with no luck, and Also a top water frog. Just didn't want to bore you with to much slow footage.
Zack sounds like he was traumatized by the spiders 😂
when that spider 🕷 moved, and you were like "I'm out!"
that made me laugh 😃 pretty good 👍
You could hear it scurry back up the tree! I'm a grown man, but that's nasty lol.
@@jamesonh889 lol
I did not realize the sound until now, that's disgusting.
@@JoeandZachSurvival hahaha 😆
Looks like Canadian fishing! Beautiful! Need to try some Lindy rigs with some slow back trolling around those sunken rocks = gold mine.😉
Zach you can have Spider Island don`t like them and as far as the Lake goes don't like the Rocks under the water an outboards worst enemy enjoyed it
Whip out the knife carve a proper rod handle !! Lol 😆 hey it worked!! 👍👍
I love the camping videos. However I do watch them all.
Where’s your truck?
Joni " the dog " will feel more lethargic when you are giving her benadryl. She will seem to slow down a lot. Try finding an alternative natural spray for the mosquitos and deer flies.
Zach, what happened to the blue truck?
You remember the pond that Colonel O'Neill had that had no fish in it? Well, it looks like you found it.
Love the vids, why don’t you ever keep the fish ?
What lake is this Zack????
Awesome video Zach! 💖
Hello Sir, thank you for the video!!!
Are you close enough to the Duck camp that you might go camping and fishing there when it's not duck season? Would like to see that area some other times of the year too. Thank you for all you do!!!
Looked like a good time!
Nice Video Zach.

Hey Zack are you doing RUclips full time or do you still have a other job to? Love you and your dads videos watched for years and years keep up the good work!
That’s the nice thing about cheap gear - you can modify it with your pocket knife and not feel bad.
Awesome fish, its great one when your arms hurt ang the drags screams. Why are the norther mosquitos so large ?🤔
Flotation Device much ...!!!!!!🙏👀
glad your boat was ok
Looks like great weather im here in north Carolina it's very hot I don't even want to go in my boat when you go to shore to look around do you carry a handgun? I know I would spiders don't freak me out but a bear or wolf would.
I carry when I camp but not for these day trips.
Zach how do you like that boat so far ,I'm looking to buy one like that myself.
It's been great, perfect size
Waiting for another Bay House update Zach!!
Have you got a job yet ?
They make fish-finders. I wonder do they make rock-boulder finder?
That must be " Spider Island" wow, that was a huge one.
Awesome 👍😎
Love vids like this!
You caught your first bait! Lol!
no thanks to spiders, lovely lake thank you
Are you on spider lake or what's its name
Great video Zach! Keep up the great content. Did you sell your camper?
Spider Island indeed! Yup, no thanks! LOL
Yeah - I think with all the rocks, the so-so fishing and the spiders - that would be a one and done lake for me.
Thanks for the video.
It's actually got some pretty good walleye fishing if you're targeting them, but you won't get em on a spinner bait!
To bad that area was full of spiders because it looked like a nice place to camp
Atta boy make it work ...keep up the fun...
If ya don’t know the lake, why were you up on plane?
Plane is 8mph not very fast.
👍FROM CADILLAC MICHIGAN

When you buy an outboard, you pay for the whole thing. Makes sense to put the skeg to work now and again.
SPIDERS!!!!!! NO WAY!!!! NADA!!!! You can keep them.. Zach, hope you checked your underwear from that HUGE one, (joking). I would be freaking out BIG time, when it comes to SPIDERS.. @@Alextodd007 Hello back at you too.

The Momma in me is coming out. Where’s your life jacket hun!!! 🤦♀️
Just don’t go into purgatory cove. 😱 ❤️✨
👍
am I the only person concerned about the crazy population of big spiders in such a concentrated space?
You need to fix your sound.
