    i have bought in to the xiaomi ecosystem. and im happy with it. and with home Assistant you can make it work with hue or what ever other products you like.

    The hue motion sensor does exactly the same but mores discrete without a light flashing. It is very reliable but needs a bridge. Does the fibaro motion sensor need a bridge? Does it have a long range ? Thank you

      It doesn't require a bridge, as long as you have good coverage in your z-wave network. Z-wave devices can be paired directly, so you could trigger a z-wave switch module to enable your lights. If you want more automation you'll need to connect them to a hub, like a Homey or Home Assistent.

    Did you say Eve App? Have you got a link to it in the Play Store?

    Andrew, you mention another App for utilizing more advanced automation outside of the Apple Home App at about 3:27 in your video. I couldn't catch the name exactly of the app. Could you tell me the name of the app? Do you get conflicts having two apps control the same device?

      It sounded like the "Eve" app to me.

    Hi Andrew great review. Just to know about the sensibility, did you have opportunity to try this? My question is about our pets, if the pet move thru the room, will be detected or can we configure that?

    The Philips Hue motion sensor does the same for a lot less money.

      But requires a hub which is an additional purchase and can cause delays in commands being sent.

      The Philips Hue does is very quick when controlling Hue lighting, however my experience confirms that there are delays if HomeKit is in the loop to control non Hue devices. I also have the Eve Motion sensor and it has the same functionality as the Fibaro Motion reviewed here but is way too slow to react to turn on lights in a darkened room quickly enough. I still use my Eve Motions sensors although they are not ideal for my use case. I'm curious as to what is the delay to activate a rule with the Fibaro, such as turning on a light in a darkened room ?
      Thanks

    Can this motion sensor be programmed to activate a camera?

    • @indiekiduk
      @indiekiduk 6 лет назад

      If it's set to the same room as a camera the push notification includes a photo, even shows on a watch.
