Thank you for sharing, I’m so fascinated how its done..love your technics , All I need now is to find someone that is willing to practice with me…🤭🤭🤭😂😂💃🕺🏻
Have only just discovered these videos - they are fantastic, thank you. We danced 30 years ago, and can use this to remind us of some moves and learn some new ones. fabulous, clear teaching. X
Hi Egils and Sveta. This video is great. My partner is going to love this, too. We're working on the tango with Spanish drag now and the slow motion and going over every figure helped us so much! Next we're doing jive. so, this video is great!! Thank you. Love your dancing! 😀
+Lisa Legere, if we measure by time I spend then Waltz and Tango are my favorites. But each dance is good in right time. I mean we need to change speed of dancing, also we have different moods.
+Richson Yap thanks for good question. I would suggest to do exercise slowly: settle hip then strike foot. Maybe even simpler: practice strike leg forward without changing balance.
Egils Smagris , your video is always great, Thank you. Can you write the figure name fixe and during all Time video playing ? But some Time in a bus, i can t hear your voice. Hihi
Hi Mr Smagris Your vidéo is so fun. Beautiful Jive routine. Happy New year I wish you all the BEST for 2017 for you but also for your family your dancing partner and your vidéo technician!!
The first time I had seen Chugging was reading the so-called chart on it from Alex Moore's book called "Popular Variations in Latin-American Dancing - Jive" in 1993. Here is my meaning of "Chugging" on my part: "Chugging is a jive variation consisting of a way of doing the LRL RLR (or follower RLR LRL), or RLR LRL (or follower LRL RLR) chasses, continously, and at the same time you do those chasses, you rotate on the spot to the left or the right as if you are doing the Reverse or Natural Top in rumba or cha-cha. It is almost like the effect of "chugging along", as you contiuously do those jive chasses, hence it's name." Usual timing for Chugging is 1a2, 3a4, 1a2, 3a4 - or 3a4 3a4 3a4 3a4, etc., depending on your dance instructor. Eventually, the new ISTD books now recognize this variation and now is engrained in its revised books as a Gold Syllabus move in jive. So it is not just restricted to only novice, pre-champ, or championship levels, anymore. My favorite "chugging" in Jive basically is just those continuous aforementioned chasses while continuing to rotate either to the L or the R while still doing the chasses, in the swing form of the Jive. Why? The swing form of the chugging chasses are more compact and take less effort then the chugging chasses in the jumping jive version of the Chugging, which will take more effort. I would do the chugs in closed facing or open facing with 2-hand hold. This is especially important in non-competitive environments on crowded dance floors.
But realizing, Egais, that you love those jive flicks, I could do a "hop-flick" action on the unweighted foot between the last "4" count " and the first "3" count in the chugging, which will give a count something like you see in samba timing - 3a4a, 3a4a, 3a4a, 3a4a. Something like that if I want to do it in "jump jive". Great for competitions!!!

+Lisa Legere, if we measure by time I spend then Waltz and Tango are my favorites. But each dance is good in right time. I mean we need to change speed of dancing, also we have different moods.
Is the triple step basic boogie or jive?
In this video I use term triple step for Jive Chasse with timing QaQ (3/4, 1/4, 1). Hope it helps.
Thầy dạy rất dễ hiểu. Cảm ơn thầy
+Dieu Huong, Không có gì!

How can I improve my hit movement in dance(cha cha, jive, rumba, and samba)? I can't steady my shoulder well when my hip moves.
+Richson Yap thanks for good question. I would suggest to do exercise slowly: settle hip then strike foot. Maybe even simpler: practice strike leg forward without changing balance.
