Thanks! Yes, Arlington is pretty much done. Sorry, I didn't make it down to Ashmont because it would've taken to long to get down there and make my train home. All the 0600s have been taken out of service, but there are still tons of them all lined up in the Orient Heights yard (some pictures of them are on the site linked on my profile). I have noticed the similarity there, I've heard that the 0600's design was based on the PATH car's (or vice versa).
Thanks!
Not sure, they probably just serve as marker lights on the subway trains.
@BostonUrbEx This was filmed December 23rd, 2009. The concrete outside the station was laid incorrectly, causing lots of water to leak in. I assume they're waiting to fix the leaks before finishing the walls, or maybe they are just planning to leave it as it is, which would sure look bad.
The HD is looking great! And yes State is a dump I always avoid it. Gov't Ctr is really squeaky for some reason.
Arlington looks wonderful now. Kenmore looks great. The State Street construction will be a pain it looks like.
Excellent video man :D
@BrickBuilder15 Tell me about it!
Well done!
Your videos keep getting better and better, they finished Arlington? Finally! Would like to have seen how far along Ashmont is, will have to wait until my next trip. Are all the 600 series Hawkers gone? Has anyone ever noticed the similarity between those cars and the older NY/NJ PATH cars? Just an observation. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!
Too bad that the MBTA made the Berkeley Street entrance to Arlington an emergency exit only. It looks like once a year opening again or maybe never for regular service.
Great VId Man!
great vid, you shoulda also gone to mattapan station and ashmont station
I have been wondering this forever. Why do Boston subway trains always have the red tail lights on at the front of the trains?
State is done! It opened fully on 04/26!
Am
Does MBTA hire often?
@2012alexg Yeah, I was shocked by their close proximity too. And really, State looked better before they cannibalized it...
State Street has been under construction for wayyyyyyyy to long.
state street (blue) is gross. state street (orange) is nicer. we did a stat house tour and we entered from that building.
i hate state street station, like if ur with me :)
Thanks!
