Fascinating to hear the interviews at half time. Jim Rosenthal chating with Bobby Robson and and telling him to stare at him for 10 seconds just for editing purposes. Forget that this was in the middle of a television dispute and there was no coverage for nearly half a season.

How is this 480p? Look how crystal clear Bobby Robson looks at the start and the picture generally is amazing. The original video must have been perfect. Just can't get over how amazingly detailed everything is.
I watch a lot of old football and this is honestly mind bogglingly clear.

Obviously, the commentator for this game will be familiar for the younger viewers (who watch SKY Sports). Turkish football improved greatly within 10 years of this match with Galatasaray causing Man Utd huge problems in the European Cup in 1993.

Better football, not as fast, but played with a Heavier (True) ball, where only certain rare, gifted players w/b able to smash this from 30yds+.Tougher surfaces(Wembley was always lush&heavy) harder&more Physical Tackling (the way the Game was made to be)👍☘️ to fella for finding this!!

      The old mitres beautiful.
I remember i scored a goal at my old leisure centre in front of 1000 people it was the local 6 a sides lasted 3 days.
I remember the ball bouncing in front of me about 30 yards (halfway) out and my dads words echoing in my ear get your knee over it.
Everything was perfect and it flew in and on the last day i got goal of the tournament still picture it now i was only in the under 11s bottom age group.

You're talking from an English perspective. The game was not meant to be played with physical tackling but with skill, intelligence and anticipation as demonstrated by Franz Beckenbauer and Bobby Moore.

@@Ruda-n4hIf a player is skillful,he w/b able to handle someone who Tackles hard..Beckenbaur,Moore,Franco Barasi, all fantasticallly skillful but tough players as well..it's meant to be part of the game!

Akwsys remember the debacle of the opening games of the 1986 WC, hopeless selections by Bobby Robson and the uselessness of Bryan Robson and Wilkins to think if Robson hadn't have got injured and Wilkins suspended we'd have been the first team out on the first plane home

To be fair back then Turkey might as well have been on the moon. We couldn't and wouldn't entertain the idea that Turks were in any way similar to us. They were funny foreigners who were happy to be there, barely knew the rules and would dutifully lie down while mother England wiped the floor with them.

Mate, did you see how our fans treated the German, Danish and Italian anthems during the euros?? There hasn’t been much of an improvement.

all that belief, all those words, all that flair from so called hoddle woddle. It moved Eng to 1993 and not qualifying...its rather pathetic.
