I've been into tugboats since I was little, inspired by a kids show believe or not. Heard of Theodore tugboat? 😅 Anyway I've been doing a lot of life thinking over the summer and just turned 34 Friday and thought it's time I'd do something. I'm trying to get the TWIC and MMC now, the steps are a pain. I'm trying though, someday I'll step abourd a Tugboat. *Sigh* 😂 Your right the sun, sunlight does seem to be brighter in cooler weather. It's currently shining now 🌞
Hey now! Thank you for watching and stick with it! I really do love this job and being on the water. If you have any questions please email me and I’ll be happy to help
Evening Capt. Willy, I am curious if you would be willing to explain in your next video (if there is downtime) what happens to you folks at Macallister if in January the longshoremen have a work stoppage. Also as working tugboat in a busy shipping lane do you run any sort of strobes etc. in daylight hours? I realize at night navigation lights are on.. Thanks and hope your mom and family are doing well
Good afternoon Sir! I’m not sure what will happen but I know we’ll be alright. As far as tugboats operating in busy shipping lanes we do have day shapes no strobes or anything. Thanks for watching 🫡
Found your channel a week or so ago and I find it both interesting and entertaining. One question about your audio: Have you considered using a Bluetooth/remote mic so that you are easier to hear? Sometimes the background noise in your “office” makes hearing you difficult.
i saw a video of a battleship (cnt remember which 1 maybe texas?) being taken out of drydock and i saw the name on the tug was something(couldnt make out the name) mcalister and i thought it was you! but turns out all the tugs there were named mcalister lol
New subscriber here. I found this very very interesting. But I also have a question. Do you get in trouble for leaving Black streaks down the side of boats? I know that some of it is inevitable but the streak that you left has to be 5060+ feet I was wondering, do you get in trouble for that or get fined for that?
Chief engineers always need to moan. Your burning too much fuel (like its his) or your running too slow he wants to get tied up and get his head down. but where would the captains be without them. Bless their cotton socks!
That was some nice pin striping you put on that ship! 😊
😁 Thought it needed a little something. Thanks for watching as always 🫡
