I will in 30 minutes time be heading off from Middlesbrough to Teesside Airport and jumping on the £28 flight to Alicante, to be picked up by my mate Pat Welsh in La Zenia, and I'll be in the area until January 4th. Love the Country, the area, the people, and the multitude of restaurants. FELIZ NAVIDAD.👍🙏
In the gulf, 28-30C today. Will drop a tad over the next few months before ramping up. Winters here are glorious but summer's are unbearable. The Beauty of Spain is the diversity of its landscape and mild winters with plenty of sunshine but it can also get a bit too hot (luckily not gulf like hot) in summer. I'm thinking of trying to find a place in Spain for my family to use in winter to start with and maybe eventually settling there. Merry Christmas.
Thats crazy! My mum is in torrevieja right now, i thought maybe i will see her in this video and bingo ! There is she taking sunbath :D This world is incredible! :D
Good question! Playa Flamenca is large urbanisation i.e. houses and apartments, lots of holiday homes with commercial centres dotted around for all your restaurants and bars, and a small selection of shops, farmacias and supermarkets. There is nothing like a “town centre” or the High Street as we know it… Torrevieja is a large, working town, with a shopping precinct (like the good old High Street), all the amenities you need, businesses etc, a normal town rather than something simply purpose built to serve the houses that have been built. Far more choice and facilities. We prefer real towns/cities, over urbanisations, it just has a different feel/atmosphere. Urbs are very holiday orientated, whereas for a working couple like us, a bit more real life and normality is needed. ~ Karen
@@ScottishCoupleInSpain Thanks for a great reply Barry - looking further south, maybe Costa Calida as seems a little warmer in the winter, Aguilas (I think it has a micro climate). The canaries get the Calimas, which would kill my wife with her Asthma Do you think you could cover this area - or any other suggestions would be appreciated! You have a lifetime subscriber
