Cool dashboard. If you want to use your old gage? There’s a video of another mini channel where he did a Honda engine swap,(Honda is electric speed sensor),,, he uses a similar box with a gps and an adapter to the mini speed cable, he’s able to keep the old gage and seems all original inside the car. The channel name is steveston motor co. The video is about a D16 swap
Great solution and a perfect fit, How did the guys with the test mini you drove solve this problem it would be interesting to know how there system worked, Really enjoying watching this build despite the fact i‘m not convinced electric is the way to go outside large cities, If the power they plugged in to was green i could see the sense in EVs. I am fairly confident the internal combustion engine will see me out lol. Cheers Dave
They had a small digital display, separate from the dial, I would agree Dave on the EV side, they have their limits at the moment, what concerns me is that they keep changing the Octane mix in petrol, 95 Ron use to stand for 5% ethanol, last year they increased that to 10%, but did not change the name, old engines are going to be really challenged if they keep doing this😔.
Decided we didn't need it in the end, as we discover more integrated solution it is allowing us to keep it simple and close to the original look of the car.........its an evolving process🤔
Seems like a fabulous solution..

Thanks for the suggestion Eduardo
👍👍
Would you share a link for the dials? They are perfect!
Oh wow that's great, dread to think what it's cost for the custom battery level one 😳. This is going to be a really nice car once its done 👏
thanks, I will be sharing all the cost of the project at the end.......😳

How did you manage to find that? research, luck, word of mouth? It's perfect and fits the hole just right.
Midge, it was research, but not in the car space, I started looking at other industries.
Nice solutions- thought you were going for a central early 3 clock conversion though?

What I find... who would have thought of that. I take it you have been beavering away for the past months trying to source this very same item.
