An alien planet with an atmosphere that's toxic to humans, hostile natives with superhuman strength, and advanced technology being the only thing protecting you from them? It's like Avatar, but in reverse.
This man literally lost his brother to the xeno. And he's defending them just because some girl sympathizes for them. This man is a traitor to literally his entire race
Not spoilers. Your choices kinda don't matter since the same thing basically happens at the end. You also end up fighting the same enemies no matter what side you pick. The dialogue is just different once you choose a side and you get a cool paint job when you go with tribals.

This is one of those games that just makes me think wtf didn't they just put those weapons on tank treads? Then you wouldn't have had issues with your stupidly exposed legs getting disabled, wouldn't have had as many dumb blind spots, could maybe have fitted enough armour to actually matter and could have actually had a turret that could turn around if enemies got behind you!

He had the most straightforward goal, but the most straightforward goal isn't always the best choice. Knowing what we know now, the entire population would have died out fighting even if the infected natives weren't released. Regardless of whether or not he wanted genocide, and it seemed like he did, his course of action would have led to it. As for the morality of the story, how would you like it if a homeless crack addict broke into your house and started stealing stuff, then when you told him to leave, he killed your entire family?
I know it is long after the upload but I want to say my opinion on this game: Story wise: Researchers are clearly bad, stupid and evil: 1. Their actions were constantly resulting in loss of humans 2.They talk about peace, but we don't see them doing anything about it accept experimenting on "savages" and going on suicidal expeditions. 3. Again they talk about peace, but they decided that arm revolt against military leader will be good solution. Again they only kill more people. Savages are not worth to be treated like humans: 1.Yes I know that it sounds bad but further points will explain my take 2. Savages throw constant army of them selves at humans, Showing lack of morals towards each other. 3. We understand that they did not try to speak with humans first as, it is easier to get resources without fighting and it is cheaper 4.They simply kill, humans al least captured those that they could. So they will kill humans at any cost, even if millions of them die they find it worth, why try to be peaceful with them. Are we peaceful with locust, or with mosquitos? No and them being humans shaped is not an excuse when they clearly lack morals. Scientist, were conducting experiments on them that clearly were deadly towards them, keeping them imprisoned and sacrificing lives for development, or because they simply wanted to check something up. They were helping immoral savages, while not putting human lives to consideration. General was brutal, sure, but he was right, they were actual SAVAGES, not humans, not animals as those have at least survival instinct, SAVAGES. He was putting human life as priority and was able to put personal filling aside if that helped humans. Scientist on the other hand were doing humans trials without testing, knowing that it will probably kill some. OK, now for mechanics: 1. Game is horribly paced, As "bosses" are extremally far apart and there is hardly nothing new during whole game, rifles are reskin of bows, moving mines are reskin of exploding savages. 2.Game has horrible lack of complexity, You shoot which is horrible made, you move, you dodge flying things by moving, you swing to the sides, and have skills that do exactly the same thing only reskinned. 3.You have best weapon from the start (stomping) 4.Gameplay doesn't change through whole game 5. upgrades mean close to nothing, as we can not see their effect or their visuals
I don't give a crap about morality. My only disappointment was the ending. The death of the protagonist feels completely empty, he did not avenge his brother, and nothing was said about the consequences of his chosen path.
You just wrote what is on my mind. New weapons don't mean anything other than new weapon skin and your fucking feet are better than all of them. At least make me turn back and shoot but no you can't do that. There is just 5 enemies and their reskins. Not THAT bad but could be a lot better.

To be honest, I was hoping for a happy finish to our war against our own race for the sake of the Eldorado planet's inherent traditions. If our tanks ran out of oxygen, we'd drown in a pool of oxygen and go into a coma, only to be rescued by the inhabitants of the Eldorado planet. Maybe we'd be rescued if we were transported to a sacred location where the plant's spirit would embrace us as one of its members and somehow make us able to breathe and live on it. The Joint Committee on the Conduct of the War conducted an investigation of the massacre, but while they condemned Chivington's and his soldiers' in the strongest possible terms, no court-martial proceedings were brought to bear against him or them. The only punishment Col. Chivington suffered was public exposure and the end of his political aspirations. Three years prior to Sand Creek, on August 2, 1861, he became the first Grand Master of Masons of Colorado.
