    Our basic menu items are lower profit margins... however, they anchor our menu and give people who are more price conscious options. However, we have some higher profit margin items that are super unique and over the top. Customers don't seem to care as much about the price - they just want that item. Our upgraded side options are also very unique - stuff you can't get at any other restaurants really so people become addicted to their personal favorite loaded fries and will almost always upgrade.

      Don't worry about restaurant prices, stock up your staples!

    While I liked and agreed with these ideas, I'm not sure if they really pertained to "menu engineering" more than pricing in general. I do thank you for the video though!
