Well he’s a British commentator for British viewers on British TV and British people have been waiting years for Muir to hit the global podiums and she finally did in this race. Her winning second on a global stage is a massive thing for us. Plus he actually gave lovely commentary on the winner too and no doubt, commentary from other national commentators would be focused differently. Look at the comments on this video as well, all the Kenyans are giving praise to Muir.

Sifuna always runs at the back due to er speed but kipyegon is explosive and can win any race, even a 4:10 1500m race. Siffan was in great shape and decided to Take the war to Faith. Faith answered the call. It is not easy to beat Faith and these gals know it.

I keep being blown away by the speed at which they run this. I ran my fastest 800m ever in university, just under 2:05, as a competitive university team runner. And they rant he first 800m in that time..... Just before running pretty much another one after that at the same speed. Most humans can't even keep up for just 100m of that (14s on the 100m isn't anything to sneeze at).
I think Hassan went out very hard taking in consideration she was running that crazy triple, race could have been closer if she set the tempo for a bout 4:05 or so and kicking hard the last 300m. That way she could have finished at least 2nd. Still amazing feat medaling in the three events. If the program had had the 10000 very early she could have done the 3 golds. By far the most talented female runner we have ever seen.
