Thanks Archie, I am blown away by all the kind comments this video has received. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch it and then get in touch.
I've always appreciated your thoroughness and attention to detail and this video is no exception. Absolutely fantastic how you've blended the old pictures and aerial views with the current ones. Amazing, amazing stuff!
My grandfather flew out of Hamble North so the New Forest airfields were all well known to him. Great video by the way and I like the juxtaposition of the old views and views as they appear now. Cool music too!
Cheers David, Lymington > Needs Oar Point > Beaulieu is a good route. I created a Google map here if you need precise locations nfhwa.org/ww2-new-forest-airfields-map/
@@TrexplorerUK, thank you - you've created a brilliant resource! I grew up in Mudeford, not far from De Davilland Way so very close to the Somerford airfield site.
Thank you John, I appreciate you watching it and the positive comment. I am planning on doing individual films like this for each airfield as I have some great photos of each one

It wasn't an airfield, it was a radar station operated by the RAF.
