These days, Bri does this song in the middle of the stage by himself, without Freddie, and usually can't get through it without tears. Both Brian AND the audience.
I've seen video of that, and it just kills me. when the giant video or hologram of Freddie joining in begins, and it appears as Freddie and Brian reaching out to each other, oh my!
Love Of My Life is a song that Freddie Mercury wrote to Mary Austin, the woman who mattered most and had the biggest impact in his life. Freddie Mercury left Mary Austin half of his estate, which included 50% of his future earnings and properties. This included a 28-room mansion in west London that Austin still lives in today. After the deaths of Mercury's parents in 2003 and 2016, Austin's stake in his estate increased to 75% she really was the love of his life. Peace out.
Rio '85 or Wembley '86 is better as far as audience participation is concerned. It really adds some magic. Regardless, Freddie always sings it beautifully
This performance is swoon-worthy. Absolute perfection from them both. Whats really special is this songs long & significant place within Queen’s story & it also shows how well Brian & Freddie complimented each other. This is very different than the studio version. As Freddie once said, “we’ve turned this into a duet, bc that’s the way we like it.”
This concert was being recorded and the director would not allow the crowd to be loud or react because it would “interfere”. Since Queen is all about crowd participation, this pissed Freddie off. They were recording over 2 nights and wanted continuity. Freddie did everything possible to disrupt this … if you watch any of the other performances from this Montreal concert, you will notice that sometimes Freddie has his clothes on, sometimes his shirt is off, sometimes he’s in little short shorts, sometimes he’s barefoot. 😂
I love this version, recorded in Montreal 1981. Normally the crowds would sing along and Freddie would let them sings large parts of it. But for some reason this crowd were not responding as much as he expected, maybe they were being polite. The result was that Freddie sang much more of it - and it is beautiful
@@taramama6658 No the crowd that night were particularly unresponsive and Freddie shouted at them several times to "move their effing asses". IF the crowd had been asked to be quiet by the film crew 1) would tens of thousands of excited fans complied and 2) would Freddie have been unaware ? He actually said to Brian "They don't know it" when they started the song and there was no response from the crowd. Personally I don't think it was anything to do with the filming. I think it was just one of those nights where, for whatever reason, the audience wasn't feeling it.
Composed by Freddie Mercury and dedicated to his then-girlfriend Mary Austin, the song is track nine on their fourth album A Night at the Opera. Even after they broke up they still loved each other.and remained friends .MaryAustin inherited Freddies cats and most of his estate.
So nice to see your wife. Love your channel. I bet your wife has a beautiful smile. We need to see 😅😅. Very pretty. Oh i just saw the picture with her smile 😊. You are a lovely guy trying to honor your wife ❤
First heard it when I saw "Highlander". Don't know if it was written specifically for the movie or it came before, but it fits the movie's theme perfectly. Awesome song/awesome performance.
There are several versions of this song, and all of them are exquisite. The studio version is layered vocal harmonies all fine by Freddie alone. This Live version in Montreal Freddie sings by himself with the audience in the background Live at Wembley in 1986 Freddie sings and the audience participates much more. Live at Rio the Audience sings the majority of the time and Freddie pitches in here and there.
You have to have watch and listen to Bee Gees Fanny be Tender with my love!! I loved her reaction to your advances on Too Much Heaven. She is great Love it when you have your beautiful wife with you!!
There's a video of Brian May preforming it solo with an acoustic guitar. As he introduces the song, he points out that Freddy's mother is in the audience. It's heartbreakingly beautiful.
Perfect song for you and Mrs. BP to react to. Wifey is so calm and such a deep thinker like you...I'm super-emotional when it comes to music - this song always gives me the "onions"... Brian May is the musician doing the intro. Such hauntingly beautiful lyrics...
One of my favourite Queen songs is Who wants to live forever but the version with Belinda Gillett. She won a competition on breakfast TV along with a boy called Ian. I know Belinda so i'm a bit biased and growing up we were the best of mates getting into all sorts of trouble like you do as teenagers. My favourite Video is The Miracle. Even if you don't watch it here you must watch it.
Love the QueenTribute song to Freddie after he died "Only the Good Die Young" I get teary thinking about it. Play it to the very end you here the crew trying to calm Brian diwn.
HEY ROBERT, HI WIFEY!!! 😊SO THAT'S ( BRIAN MAY ) ROBERT, HIS GREAT UNIQUE GUITAR PLAYER! 👍YOU NEED TO DO THE OTHER HIT FROM ( A NIGHT AT THE OPERA ) BESIDES BOHEMIAN WHICH WAS : YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND 💯 40!
Love that you and your lovely wife reacted to this great song ….. I really like that you appreciate how great Freddie and the whole band were…..please continue to react to Queen ….. because there is so much more. Next time have your wife react with you to “One Year of Love”. ….An absolutely beautiful love song wrote by bass player John Deacon for the movie Highlander. I prefer the lyric version to this song…..because the videos can sometimes be distracting from the lyrics and Freddie’s vocals are amazing in this song. (No live version of this song). Thank you so much …..I look forward to your next reaction. Thank you.
If inclined to take a slight detour down the QUEEN rabbit hole, may I suggest checking out WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, but the version w/Adam Lambert. In recent years Adam has joined forces with the remaining members of QUEEN (Brian May & Roger Taylor) when on tour. One performance in particular is a must see: LIVE AT THE ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL 2016. No one could ever replace Freddie, but Adam does the music justice. Check it out..
the kiwi audience at the 1985 concert that I went to in Auckland, NZ, did not sing along to this somg - kiwis are also a bit shy, but we did sing along to the bigger hits
Listen to the studio version of this song; Queen's trademark precision vocal harmonies are a big part of it. And how did you not tell her about the amazing Brian May, playing the guitar in this video?! Queen is not just Freddie Mercury with a backup band!
A song you react with your wife in should be a great love song called "Find out About Love" by the Canadian music group "Bachman -Turner-Overdrive" from their album called "Head On ".
Great song but I would have chosen the Montreal version of Somebody to love. My favorite version of Love of my life is Rio where the crowd sings it back to Freddie.
G'day mate You should play this for missus / wifey John Farnham and Oliver newton John singing Please dont asked me live version If this doesn't get wifey emotional nothing will 😮😊 As we say she'd be like a dead fish 😢 You haven't done a ballet from him yet Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
If you like Queen you need to listen to HomeFree song "BUTT'S MEDLEY". It is a conglomeration of different songs that everyone loves and have heard. It's wonderful!!!
@black Pegasus I want to give you a nicce song to react too, "Queen, In The Lap of The Gods - Hammersmith London 1975". You can find the video yourself, this is kind of a hidden gem of a song not everyone have heard but this live performance is so special I do not want you to miss it. I left it all up to you now but I hope you will react to it. :)

I've seen video of that, and it just kills me. when the giant video or hologram of Freddie joining in begins, and it appears as Freddie and Brian reaching out to each other, oh my!
The studio version is exquisite. Freddie sings all the harmonies and Brian plays harp!
A bit like "Somebody to Love" studio and stage versions arranged very differently and both wonderful. I love both versions of both songs equally!
Freddie was the full package.
God bless FREDDIE, we miss you.
Oh yes! ❤❤
fauci killed Freddie.

When his parents died they left it to Freddy sister Mary n her are 50/50 on Freddy estate
agreed and thats fact, i have seen the london house from outside, i used to live in north west London
It hearing the audience singing along with him that really makes it. Brian with the 12 string acoustic... magical.

I think she would love -
You're my best friend.

Yep - fantastic - Freddie was a musical "anarchist" ... lol...
Tears even while singing along. We were so lucky to have him!
Freddie wrote this song for his fiancé, Mary.
I love this version, recorded in Montreal 1981. Normally the crowds would sing along and Freddie would let them sings large parts of it. Freddy even turned to Brian and said they dont know it and Brain said its okay at start of the song.
@@Masonicbrother yup
No it was being recorded and they didn’t want the crowd to be overly loud Freddie didn’t like this at all. Look it up.
@@taramama6658 No the crowd that night were particularly unresponsive and Freddie shouted at them several times to "move their effing asses". You might as well enlighten the wife to - You Take My Breath Away (live at hyde park 1976) or studio version. Both amazing!. she will shed a tear!
Yesss.... please do the live 1976 version at Hyde Park with just Freddie and the piano..... Amazingly beautiful. And she definitely will shed a tear!
Composed by Freddie Mercury and dedicated to his then-girlfriend Mary Austin, the song is track nine on their fourth album A Night at the Opera. Even after they broke up they still loved each other.and remained friends .MaryAustin inherited Freddies cats and most of his estate.
A great performance from a beautiful love song. 🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️👍
BP, have to check out this song Wembley 1986, and Rio 1985...will blow you away 🙂

You have to listen to Who Wants to live Forever
First heard it when I saw "Highlander". Don't know if it was written specifically for the movie or it came before, but it fits the movie's theme perfectly. Awesome song/awesome performance.

The best version of this song is, Queen - Love Of My Life [Rock In Rio '85] Thousands of Brazilians singing along and shouting Brian out also. Magical
And Wembley 2nd 😊
I agree. Live in Rio, Live of my life is fantastic!!
Also, live on wembley 1981
We lost a true artist, performer and legend when Freddie passed.
This song is as beautiful as Wifey ❤Hold her tight BP and never let her go ❤
I agree. Traditional wives are the hidden strength we need. Rock on you two.
"They don't know it"
"It's all right"
Fun to watch you ‘Expand’ your horizons with both you and your beautiful wife💕69 here. Some great music here. I still miss Freddie 🙏🏼

The Wimbley performance of this was so much better in my opinion.
For my wife and I it's Queen's You're my Best Friend.
The wife and I are celebrating our 38th anniversary today. Perfect song!
You'll like..... "You Take My Breath Away" ( Live from Hyde Park).
Beautiful ❤️

Pegasus react to Queen's Christmas song "Thank God It's Christmas" Freddie's voice and song are amazing.
Beautiful sister
The best and iconic performance of this song was in Rock in Rio.

beautiful
Watch this song live at Wembley
See if you can find the version that Brian May sings to Freddies mother in the audience.
The studio version of this is good. It’s definitely worth a listen
Check out Marc Martell version on the piano.
If inclined to take a slight detour down the QUEEN rabbit hole, may I suggest checking out WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, but the version w/Adam Lambert. You should have listened to live at Wembley 1986.
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Should do under pressure live @ Wembley no David but Freddie & Roger do an amazing job.
the kiwi audience at the 1985 concert that I went to in Auckland, NZ, did not sing along to this somg - kiwis are also a bit shy, but we did sing along to the bigger hits
BP, I have a song for you to dedicate to Mrs. BP on Valentine's Day ... do "I Love You" by the Climax Blues Band. You'll both love it!
Listen to the studio version of this song; Queen's trademark precision vocal harmonies are a big part of it. And how did you not tell her about the amazing Brian May, playing the guitar in this video?! Queen is not just Freddie Mercury with a backup band!
BP, what up, man!
Awesome
The Guitarist full title is Sir. Doctor. Brian Harold May.... Astrophysicist
The two of you should react - at the same time - to "Miracle" by Queen - the official video.
... You Take my Breath Away...
Listen/react.... it's another wonderful Queen song that doesn't seem to get a lot of attention
Pegasus a little romance goes a long way dude 😘
A song you react with your wife in should be a great love song called "Find out About Love" by the Canadian music group "Bachman -Turner-Overdrive" from their album called "Head On ".
well, it‘s indeed a matter of taste what a great love song is. love of my life of queen is one for sure. is it the most famous song of queen? no.
And the Scorpions do an excellent cover of Love Of My Life.
This is when he started getting really sick and his voice strained a lot, that’s why he enjoyed the crowd singing along a lot
Reaction Marc Martel - love of my life (queen cover) pliss 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
How the hell have I never heard of this song ? 😮
Great song but I would have chosen the Montreal version of Somebody to love. My favorite version of Love of my life is Rio where the crowd sings it back to Freddie.
or Wembley...
Should show her the one from Brazil.
Just to coment on wife voice. Listen journey live in houston. Steve perry the voice
You two should react to Queen’s Teo Torriatte together, a lovely song! Thank you for all the Queen reactions!
React to “Somebody To Love” by Queen… and ask Wifey if she’s ever seen the version in the movie Ella Enchanted.
Then the 1 in Milton Keynes then studio. 1 song sang in 3 completely different ways. All amazing love Freddie 😊
Under pressure is next 😂
G'day mate
You should play this for missus / wifey
John Farnham and Oliver newton John singing
Please dont asked me live version
If this doesn't get wifey emotional nothing will 😮😊
As we say she'd be like a dead fish 😢
You haven't done a ballet from him yet
Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
❤to my baby Nicholas forever 25❤😢
Next reaction to your wife. I recommend you dedicate the song when you love a woman by Journey
If you like Queen you need to listen to HomeFree song "BUTT'S MEDLEY". It is a conglomeration of different songs that everyone loves and have heard. It's wonderful!!!
calls his wife bro like our kids call us bro !

I left it all up to you now but I hope you will react to it. :)
Well there you go I understood Brian May wrote this in memorial for his childhood kitten that died.
You should have reacted to Love Of My Life at Rock in Rio85
Why dont i know this song he has a great voice
As much as I adore Queen I have a song request for you... Working Man by Rita McNeil you won't regret hearing this
