What was not explained was that these clams were imported from the Solomon Islands as babies and were artificially planted in Silaqui by biologists. They serve as "mother clams" to produce baby clams that are presently being transplanted to re-populate the reefs of the Philippines. I saw them when they arrived in 1985. Used to work for the Institute. They were less than two inches long. Now they're truly giants.
hello, great work! It would be nice if i could expand this endangered specie in our place too. How or is there anyway i could get some seedling of this clam so i could do the same. thanks
The professor should speak English or Spanish, but not mix them up. And slower please, much slower. I tried turning on captioning but it was ludicrous. Wish I knew what he was saying.
