Dope! Respect to Zone... he's a longtime favorite of mine with undisputed originality. He's a pioneer who's severely slept on, but for those who know, he requires no validation from anyone. He's greatly respected for his authenticity and unlimited contributions to the 'Culture'.
Gotta pull out my old J-Zone albums. I always appreciated his music, beats rhymes.
Kool and the Gang's "Give It Up" is the best song from their first album by far. Underrated song.
Yeah captain backslap! Cool story! Zone is way too slept on man. Love your love for music, gotta get on that Ru-Rites vibe soon, still deep into all this new music in hip-hop lately, don't know where to start XD Keep on!
Thanks! The Du-Rites 'A Funky Bad Time' is our new album, it drops November 13. Instrumental funk/soul kind of like what we're discussing in the clip.
J zones debut album is still fire, timeless like all the best music,’inauguration day’ is one of my favourite political hip hop tracks ever, which is wierd from an artist who’s more known for his bugged out humour than politics.J Zone has always been under acknowledged imo but those who know KNOW!
