- I submit to you that there is no place more impactful to celebrate 70 Years of Ian Fleming's Bond novels than his own home at GoldenEye in Jamaica. The corner where his famous desk and chair reside have an emotional resonance that can be felt when standing among them, contemplating the creation of the character we rejoice in everyday. In this video, literary Bond fans from across the globe visit Fleming's Villa to discuss their favorite James Bond novel, what it's like to sit in his chair and at his desk, and the significance of reveling in the creation of 007 at the very birthplace of the character....

When David is not running an advertising and marketing company, his hobby is The Bond Experience which is primarily a video blog where he discusses Bond experiences and the people and brands that help to create those experiences...
The mantra of living like Bond, one moment at a time emanates from a concept of experiencing the joy of collecting small moments in life that add up to amazing journeys and stories....whether it's through style, locations, literature, fitness, and the movies themselves the world of Bond is explored through its people and their stories.
Ultimately though, The Bond Experience channel is a celebration of the James Bond franchise and the many people that form a true community. Our core mission is to create a strong connection in the Bond community amongst all the fans, regardless of interest or demographic.

This is my dream.
It’s a beautiful place.
Yeah man, I live in Abaco Bahamas so it's very similar atmosphere here but I would still love to visit the Flemming Villa, maybe get some inspiration to write something, I love writing little story's
David, you knocked this one out of the park. You really captured the event and our thoughts and emotions. Now sitting here reliving this event. That house, that house. I want one. Thank you for making this happen. Here's to Goldeneye '24.
Let’s go halvsies and get a house just like this!!!
@@TheBondExperience Roomies? I wonder if the better halves will get along?
@@michaelpoplawski2998 😂 I think your wife may be allergic to Bond fans. Who can blame her.
Thanks for keeping the fires burning while Eon waits. And waits. And waits. Revisiting the source material always a great idea. So envious of all of you. What a wonderful adventure.
Great tour of the place where it all started. It was nice as well to see and hear from other fans. I really want to make the trip but doubt I would ever get that close to the desk where the creativity and creation of Bond developed over the years. Fantastic.
You should and maybe your plane will crash.
You never know….trust me, dreams do come true.
Great video David. Loved to hear each person’s favorite Fleming novel and why.
Thank you! I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Fleming this year than with his fans.
Hi David, what a tremendous video this is. You present it in such a way that makes it so enjoyable to watch. Very calm, but still fun and informative. Also, love love love your outfit in this video. Cheers to 70 years of Bond novels. Dr. No is a solid choice as favourite, Jamaica just oozes being a 007-location.
Great David, your passion about Bond is an inspiration.
Really enjoying these, David. Great to be there with you all virtually.🤵🏻
That was so special, thank you for sharing and caring! In the words of bond himself... Who's strangling the cat? LoL, just kidding. This series of videos for this trip might be some of the best yet.
One of your best Bond videos 👍
Simply incredible. I didn’t realize that this is an actual resort that the general public could book a stay at. Thank you David. This video was top notch. You even look a little like Daniel Craig.
This was very emotional. Thank you
Wonderful. I love these videos. I almost wish you did a wrist check on everyone haha I saw a couple pepsi Seiko, Omega, and was happy to see the "Goldfinger" strap was in attendance. It's what I would have chose as well
David your channel is a beacon of hope. The everlasting flame of James Bond movies is held by you at this point. Keep up the good fight, I hope to see a new movie soon, so you can get some fresh meat to cook us more meals to enjoy. Cheers.
Excellent video! I would have to say "Moonraker" would have been my choice too. There are some passages near the end of that book that were really fantastic - you could tell Fleming was on a roll. What a gorgeous place to write.
Great Bond content, David! 👍
Greeting from Denmark.
Thank you! 👍
I’m an Italian boy, great video! Really a dream
Wonderful.....Mr Fleming would have appreciated this for sure!
David, your content is stellar. Hope you get to make a TV documentary one day!
Brilliant...
that was superb.......all the best from Scotland
Many thanks!
Hi David
An excellent video thank you for sharing
Hoping one day to visit Goldeneye it was on my bucket list with my wife before she passed away last year
Hope to make it one day in both Fleming's honour and her
Keep up the great work
Side boob! haha Great reason to pick up a book.
It’s a thing!
Brilliant! Wish I could have been there, but awesome video, very emotional!
What a great video...did you ever visit the London Imperial War Museum for the Ian Fleming centenary exhibition back in 2008? I'm sure the desk that you and the rest of the fine people are sat beside was transported to the UK and a lot of other Fleming artifacts were on display. The exhibition was so good, it had his typewriter, desk, and loads of personal possessions, like his Rolex watches, pens, cigarette cases, and stuff from his schooldays like film footage of Ian doing cross-country running. Plus it had props from the films, like miniature planes and helicopters from the film, and Danial Craig's blood-soaked shirt from Casino Royale, amongst many other stuff. Cheers, that place looks unreal!
Wow, David - this is special
Thank you! It was an emotional day.
Great job. Thank you for sharing
That song was just what I needed today.
Thanks for taking those intensive sun rays to the face for us David!
After coming back from here the first time in 2021, I had the dream that you would create an experience just like this for the 60th anniversary of Dr No. It did not occur to me that there was 70th anniversary of James Bond himself, which makes this event so much more poignant. When the 60th came and went, I thought, oh that would have been great but it shall remain just a fleeting fantasy. After returning from this trip and now watching this video the whole experience was "like a dream come true". Yeah that sounds mushy 😝 but the whole experience was mushy in the best possible way. Ultimately the secret ingredient is passion and the people, not just the ones in the video but all who are watching it around the world and who are connected to this hobby, this passion of James Bond. So just to say it simply David, thank you 🙏
It was a treat for us all. So glad you could be there.
Cheers David! Well done!
What a beautiful voice!
Very enjoyable ❤
Good morning Dave.... Last night I had to see again Dr. No...Excellent trip!!!
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@TheBondExperience Like all ways do...
Haha, great that you used the song for your opening. Maybe we should do a „proper“ version some time 😂 Great video as always!
For the intro alone a like
You are a Entertainer great video 👍👍💯💯
David, you have spent more time at Goldeneye than Ian Fleming did!
😅 almost!
Fantastic video. Just listening to each participant’s introduction to their favourite James Bond book whilst sitting at Mr Fleming’s desk was wonderful. A magical experience for them and the viewer. Thank you David.
I just wanted to ask David have you ever been to Ian Flemings grave I went today and for such a massive franchise and all the brilliant books it’s eerily surreal you expect to notice it instantly but in a very Fleming way it a quiet little memorial surrounded by plants and animals I wanted to ask because even if you have just in case you haven’t you should video or no video just as a fellow bond follower I also expressly believe everyone else in this comment section and bond followers In general should
Nice people ❤
I wonder if any furniture company has made a replica of the wagon wheel chair?
Was that you singing in the intro??😂
LOL....alas yes!
Jason LOOKS like Ian Fleming!
Little off topic but has anyone found connections between The Rock’s and NTTD ending? How both islands exploded with a Bond in them?
David are you currently in Jamaica at the release of this video?
And I thought Pavarotti passed away a few years ago?
Jay could play Ian Fleming in a doc or movie...does anybody else see the resemblance?
Was that Davi’s himself singing that song…
🍸001st. If you think David's singing is a little below par....try watching Eurovision.
Jokes aside there can be no better place on Earth to kick back & read a Bond novel....I'm i Jealous ? Absolutely 👍
🍸002nd
Slightly ahead of the tact… 😜 Great video!
You gotta have fun in life… ❤
You should write the next movie
At last a woman ❤
6:44 Ian Fleming' s character James Bond always wore a Rolex and used it as a knuckle-duster. The stories even mention when it was time for another watch.
Moreover, British author Ian Fleming himself wore a Rolex Explorer 1016 (as did British zoologist Sir David Attenborough). All the Omega stuff remains product placement 🤔
No argument there! 😊
I didn.t know you could sing,
How jealous!........
I love your videos but it is imperative I never hear you sing again
