    Agreed, the manager turning up late every time is disrespecting the fans and others who are waiting. Being late once it's understandable if circumstances warrant it but chronically showing up late is unacceptable. I would sack an employee who incessantly shows up late for meetings.

    In recent shows you have been discussing how football & coaching has moved on, an I agree it has but I think for us to survive the perilous position we are in we should for the remainder of this season look back & recreate the “Dogs of War” mentality, if the manager & players can show the fight, passion and will to win then they will have 40,000 passionate evertonians fighting with them, the players need to set the tone,great show boys UTFT

    Dyches big problem is this- in order for fans and players to buy into his tactics/style of play you have to be getting results/putting points on the board. That's the only thing that makes it tolerable. His reality is that he isn't. Not only that but his team is shipping goals by the bucket load. In fact Evertons current for is quite similar to Burnleys the season he got the sack.
    Add in his recruitment record. He brought in Beto for 20m, chermiti for 10m or so, Jake for another 20m plus etc. This club has no money and he wont/can't use the players he bought.
    Add in the huge deficit in both full back positions which is all on him and we are a poor team.
    I dont think we are better than anyone atm. Not with the full backs we have.

      When you pay 20m on easy pay terms and relatively low wages for a striker its because the clubs options are limited - a manager offered no loaf or half a loaf will take half a loaf.

      Branthwaite did go out on loan and won a league trophy though. He was far from a first team staple under lampard, barely played and probably what lead to him being loaned out for development. If the dutch had any proper money I'm pretty confident he wouldn't have been here last season.
      To be honest, i wouldn't be suprised in the slightest if the club loans out with the false tale of 'development' and in fact have no idea what talent they actually have outside the first team and just use it as a pocket change camp to pump into the first 11. We let kids rot, moving them on older than 25 (to which I ask what talent did they have in the first place and why wasnt they seen as not good enough alot earlier). Another club issue, scouts are dreadful and if not that coaches stealing a living

    `Be bold', `Go for it', `Don't play for a draw'. Amazing how so many fans just don't get the fundamentals of football when you have had 4 straight defeats and a long injury list. That's what Lampard tried to do and had us on a trip to the championship and what Dyche has remarkably done this season. We need to get back to the teams strengths - clean sheets, defence. We need to pack/protect our currently very vulnerable centre half positions with midfield bodies and keep the game tight.

      @@SoberbioNumeroUnoNot sure. Probably a combination of injuries and wanting to play a bit more expansively. It worked against Bournemouth for 85 mins. But then we got lucky to go 2-0 up against Villa and that was the time to completely shut up shop. Surely now he is 1-2 defeats away from the sack so needs to go way more defensive in midfield and probably 3 centre half’s if Branthwaite is not fit and grind something against Leicester and Palace.

    • @Alfie-ps6ll
      @Alfie-ps6ll День назад

      @@MartinGreen9325 wins in 11 months is shambolic on any level. To pick the same defence 3 games in a row despite shipping that many goals is rookie errors. Explain how dyche has never won in August September, because he's awful at adapting. He has zero tactical expansion and sticks with 4411 no matter what even tho our team strengths as you say do not appeal to that. He has not developed as a coach in yearssss. Dyche revels in relegation battles because he has no capability to consistently get out of it which is why he can't be long term. I'll give him a few more games but criticising people for using buzzwords when dyche has the worse game management and tactical set up in the league makes no sense

    • @MartinGreen932
      @MartinGreen932 День назад

      @@Alfie-ps6llIt’s best to get facts right. We won 5 consecutive home games at the end of last season - never mind 5 in 11 months. He was superb at Burnley - staying in the prem for years and getting in Europe despite having the smallest wage bill! He has done very well at Goodison apart from the start of this season. Who knows what he would do if given a wage bill, transfer budget. He’s on the verge of getting sacked but his managerial career up to this point has been very good.

    As it stands (assuming Mykolenko isn't available), I think we should try Roman Dixon and Jack Harrison at full back. Dixon lacks experience but the games will improve him. And whether people like the idea or not. Harrison has basically been playing full back under Dyche, protecting either Ashley Young or Seamus Coleman. Might as well just put him there to begin with and have Lindstrom on RW.

      @@paulkendall7890 He was trying to play two positions mate. Why was he even in that position in the first place? It's where the full back should be. I.e. Where Ashley Young should have been. But again he's over worked due to the people behind him. Don't blame Harrison one bit. He's even on the wrong bloody side! He's left footed ffs. @@paulkendall7890 I like Gary O'Neil. But like a lot of managers mentioned, I don't think he'd come here. For him it would be out of the frying pan and into the fire😂. As their situation isn't great either. So sadly, I don't think we can be very ambitious.
      Whether people like it or not, I think our only option is Moyes. And if it was a contract simply until the end of the season, I don't see how people can complain too much. If he did well, great, stay on. If average, look elsewhere. But he's the only one who actually wants to come here. And we know what he can do, probably with a Europa League ceiling.
      Personally, I'd take Moyes for 4 years and plan a successor with him (I'm 33, so he was all I knew growing up really - became manager before I started high school!). Whether that successor be Carsley, Baines, etc. Hell, maybe even Seamus? But Everton have only ever won something with a former player in charge. Or is it bad luck to be superstitious? 😂. But surely Moyes would be happy himself with that as it's a chance to finish said 'unfinished business' at Everton, while also taking him to 65. Surely he doesn't want to be a Roy Hodgson or whatever? Maybe move into some other role behind the scenes before he retires fully.
      I take it you'd like O'Neil? Or maybe some other options? I don't blame people for not wanting to go back to Moyes. It's not always good to go back. Though it worked for him at West Ham.

      Fingers crossed we can get a win at the weekend. It's a huge six pointer. Even if it's disgusting to watch and lucky. We need a bit of luck for a change. I think we're due it. So maybe, it's our time to turn this shit around.

    Not quite true that Villa don't dominate the ball. Emerys strategy is all about control and keeping the ball in our ranks. It's the first thing he implemented when he came in and it didn't happen overnight. He asked fans to be patient and it's now paying off. Opposition can't hurt us if they haven't got the ball. This starts with Torres at CB who plays like a midfielder at times. Villas pressing stats are some of the lowest in the league.
    Anyway, hope Everton can find some form and direction soon enough. All the best.

Ultimately, that first statement about how difficult it is for Dyche (John addressed this too) I mean, what the fk is Thelwell on about? Takeover shiz etc. Completely irrelevant. This is a very poor manager making a very poor start to the season with poor records left right and centre. Awful football mostly and some bizarre comments of late about fans Pep, Carlo. And you have the DoF excusing that by saying it's difficult circumstances. What a joke. If he's not going to be critical in public then say nothing.
