It feels weird to not have Benoit in this list. After all, he was an important part of Smackdown during the ruthless aggression era. He was part of the famous "SmackDown Seven" with Kurt, Rey, Edge, Eddie, and Chavo.

Where is Chris Benoit I know he is controversial but he did some of his best work in the ruthless aggression era and he should be mentioned
Yeah I feel like people disrespect the ruthless aggression era as a whole because Benoit was such a big part of it. Had all the attitude of the attitude era with a lot of the jobbers removed from Attitude Era though there were still some. Cena, Lesnar and even Triple H all made their names legendary during this era. Though H is from attitude era if he had left in 2001 he would not be where he is today he had most his best moments in this era.
I think people need to let what Benoit did go. We are supposedly in the age that mental illness is more accepted and understood yet people still seem to think Benoit was not insane and chose what he did. He did not. The WWE themselves are more to blame IMO than Benoit for what happened.

Wrist Is Frogs I agree with most of what you said but WWE is not more at blame Benoit, also Benoit killed his family, yeah he went though a LOT, he had intense mental illness but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve to be scrutinized or ignored. People understand that he wasn’t just plain evil, but what he did was pure evil.

Jeff Hardy should be atleast A tier. He won the world title december 2008 and began his meteoric rise in 2007

Not mentioning Benoit in the attitude era is understandable. But you really HAVE TO mention him in the Ruthless Aggression era. He was in the Smackdown Six and won the main event of Wrestlemania, and my favorite wrestler at the time. Even if you have to put him in the bin he deserves mention.

For Jericho they totally forgot bout his amazing feud with Shawn from 2003 & 2008. All you mentioned were lowballed but I believe Jericho in B is not doing it justice at all

Big Show captured the WWE Championship again in 2002 during his feud with Brock Lesnar and would later capture the United States title adding it to his already Hall Of Fame guaranteed inductee career and later would team with Kane and capture the World Tag Team belts and being drafted to ECW in 2006 capturing the ECW World Heavyweight Title reinstating him as a big threat

I remeber Shelton Bemjamin being of my favorites and still today I'd always watch the more work rate type matches. Just not a fan of the too many finishers and false finishes.

Not the biggest HHH fan, but the world title would not have held any credence without HHH being the ultimate heel from 02 to 05. S-tier all the way. There's no way Punk, Foley and Evolution era Flair ( who spent the entire time in the shadow of Hunter ) were in the same league as HHH back then.

I find it funny how these guys were ragging on how Mordecai looked as a potential top guy where someone like Daniel Bryan can be taken as a main eventer. At least Mordecai looked more like a killer and as an actual pro wrestler than Daniel Bryan ever would.

When I think of the Ruthless Aggression era, I think of Brock, Batista, Undertaker, Angle, Eddie and Benoit. Disappointing that Benoit wasn't considered for this, for a while he was the whole reason I was tuning in and some of his promos and feuds were legendary (Toothless Aggression, his US title feud with Orlando Jordan where he'd beat him insanely quickly, the Rumble match).
I never noticed just how many wrestlers WWE had during the ruthless aggression era. All the ones on there and it's still missing Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak, Chris Benoit, Rico, La Resistance, Ultimo dragon, Orlando Jordan, Paul Burchill, Jesus, Tyson Tomko, The Full Blooded Italians, Brian Kendrick, Kenzo Suzuki, Funaki, Simon Dean and the Gymeni just to name a few off the top of my head.
I really appreciate how Cultaholic keeps managing to spread out their pre-recorded content= smart!
I think Triple H should be S, he was the Ric Flair of the Ruthless Aggression Era, yes the booking seriously harmed a lot of other superstars but he also made the likes of Batista and John Cena in 21 and 22

Maybe for your next Tier List or Ranked video you could the history of the Iron Man Matches/60 Min Matches. I'm not sure if there are a lot or a little bit of them. But since those matches always seem special thought it may make a good list.

how is jericho in bottom of B if you’re counting till 2008, in 2008 his fued with shawn was probably fued of the year and he won the world heavyweight title that year
I feel like Spike Dudley should've been higher if for nothing else his run as "The Boss" of the Dudleys in 2004 and his Cruiserweight title run (Which was actually one of the longest runs with that incarnation of the belt I'm now realising). I think it was the first time he'd ever been aligned with The Dudleys as a heel himself and I remember enjoying the hell of heel Spike.
And hell, his reign was ended by Funaki which was a great moment. Sucks that Funaki's reign was so uneventful, but oh well.

Also reign of terror was abit bad however then he had the dx reunion which was pretty good, and helped the smackdown brand in 08 with feuds with edge and Jeff hardy

I'd say the smackdown six was a landmark of how you could have a few really good guys put on bangers any week.
He’d be S Tier considering Eddie is S Tier and both had similar stories. Comparable wrestling abilities and both shined the most in the Ruthless Aggression era. The best ruthless aggression moment or one of the best moments of the era could easily be WMXX with Benoit and Eddie celebrating in the ring.
Trips deserves S class. Yea it got boring eventually but some of his matches were top tier wrestling, the dude put in work

You forgot 2008 jericho where he was probably one of the best heels of all time
The story you're thinking of at 38:10 involving Goldberg and The Rock got crossed with another story from an episode of Raw where he was feuding with Jericho.
The one with The Rock involved Goldberg running to the parking garage and hopping into one of his prized muscle cars. After backing it out, he blew the engine and the car stalled. So he eventually ran out and continued on foot.
The other story involved Jericho dumping a bucket of paint on another one of Goldberg's favorite muscle cars. He was supposed to run out, hop in and chase down Jericho in the car. They rehearsed it all day and after Goldberg ran out to the car, he asks a bystander which way Jericho went. He then immediately gets in his car and drives off in the opposite direction.
HHH and Regal should be S tier. Yes the Reign of terror wasn't great but he still spent more than half the rest of the era having decent matches and storylines. And Regal is just always awesome.
For once and for all. Stephanie never said that philanthropy was the future of marketing. She quoted a tweet of someone who made that case. And it is/was true. Hell, it's something many, many companies were doing long before then, and even moreso now.
They should a "TIER LIST" for TNA, WCW, & ECW 🔥
I agree with most of this but if the likes of Cm punk and Kane are in A tier I think Jericho should’ve been aswell as he was always floating around in the title picture intercontinental or world title and he had that amazing match with Shawn Micheals at WrestleMania 19 that alone should put him in a tier

2009 was my last year of WWE, a couple years of TNA followed then finished by 2013. Loved Ruthless Aggression era. I preferred WCW over WWE in the mid-late 90s.
Same, 2009 was my last year of WWE and then stopped watching TNA after Victory Road 2011. Caught a lot of the Summer of Punk stuff, but I'd skip most of Raw and watch the Punk clips on RUclips

Christian couldve been one of the best heel world champions if WWE gave him a chance back then mannnn. He had the presence, the workrate and the look to pull it all off
Just to be a wrestling nerd, I think it would be more accurate to split WWE into about 4.5 year segments, with 4 WrestleManias in each era. Ruthless Aggression, to me, doesn’t start until Cena gets his first WWE Championship and Batista beats Triple H. Even though they coined Cena as the new generation when he said “Ruthless Aggression” he was still in his prototype gear and damn near got released shortly afterward until Stephanie heard him rap on a plane. In my opinion, 2000-2004, or WrestleManias 17-20, is really the McMahon-Helmsley/Evolution/Reign of Terror Era, however you want to look at it. Triple H was in or around all the major titles when he wasn’t hurt and when he was hurt, Stephanie was still a major authority figure. The Attitude Era is basically 1996-2000, with WrestleManias 13-16 representing that mentality, culminating in 16, or WrestleMania 2000, being known as “RussoMania”

Jeff Hard Vs. Undertaker 2002 Ladder Match RAW ALONE is S tire.... Doesn't get enough credit for putting Brock over with his selling, the whole industry at that time in the Indies dressed like Jeff, matches with RVD, Jeff Hardy in the six-man at survivor series, last match in 03 against The Rock... (TNA break) 06-07 Edge match return, Umaga / Nitro IC title matches, Triple H Hardy matches, RANDY HARDY ROYAL RUMBLE!, and if we all agree the Ruthless Aggression era ends at the end of 2008 Armageddon Main Event he finally wins the title.... God damn S Bois!
Agreed. He had a ton of great feuds when he came back in 06 and even before he left in 2002/2003 with Lesnar and Undertaker
Yeah I usually agree with these guys but I feel like they were way off here. Torrie Wilson in C rank? Steiner in D rank? Those 2 are B rank minimum. Torrie was literally always in the title picture, and put on a decent performance. I always thought of her as just as good as Lita and Trish. She also had great bikini matches and bra and panty matches though those are guilty pleasure, putting down women blah blah still was extremely entertaining.
Steiner was a HW champ contender for awhile, triple h almost put him over, had a good feud with test for stacys love and who did the most roids. Had the most ridiculous physique. I demand a do over. Jk Idc.
Also they put Test over Steiner. Test was NEVER as entertaining as steiner, great wrestler but no charisma and he was never a HW contender Triple H wouldn't even sneeze on him.
Test was fired from WWE the first time after very lackluster career aside from the Steiner feud for being passed out backstage and then the second time he popped for roids. He won the ECW championship but that's ECW we are just taking his WWE main show success into consideration. No way should he be over Steiner just my opinion lol

How is Jericho not in A tier is beyond me. They totally forgot 2003 feud with HBK and fantastic 2007 return that led to program with Orton for WWE title. Even if 2008 program wiht HBK doesn't count, it's still an A at least.

Okay. Might be a controversial opinion, but I'm a bit annoyed with leaving Benoit out. I understand the controversy, what he did. No excuses for it. It was horrible. But dude was a huge part of the ruthless aggression era. Him and Eddie in the ring as world champions together was one of my favorite moments. He'd probably be in a tier at best because he didn't do much else but come on. Quit ignoring him as if he didn't exist.

He'd be S tier all the way. The Rumble where he lasted the longest in history, the WMXX triple threat match itself being arguably the greatest Wrestlemania match of all time up to that point, his feuds with Angle including the incredible match at Royal Rumble 03 where he got a standing ovation despite losing, his underrated promo work (Toothless Aggression still being one of my favourites, and go back and listen to the crowd when he was General Manager of Raw, it's easy to forget just how over he was at this point), the Orlando Jordan feud where he'd just slap the shit out of him, the suplexes on Big Show and Viscera. Benoit was genuinely a top 3-5 guy between 2002 and 2006, more so and for longer than Eddie was.
