How about Undertaker’s mania matches next?
they'd either fall bracket of good or bad.... no in between
Giant Gonzales... Get in the bin.
I think it's do-able. A lot would be in the bottom 2 categories sadly. And then like 7 or 8 matches would be in the top 2 most likely.
They’ve done it, Gary!
Highlight of the 94 Rumble. Not the match, Owen’s interview: “AND THATS WHY I KICKED YOUR LEG OUT OF YOUR LEG!”
Did it change very quickly from ranking the winners, to ranking the rumbles?
Seems that way. Taker, and Benoit should be in the best.
Ranking the winners is about everything to do with the Rumble they won. How well the Rumble itself went, the impact after the fact, everything.
Because it’s more about the package as a whole than the winner themselves. Just like everything in wrestling, the wrestler is a very small part of it.
edward layer I think so... listen to Jack at 29:59
No, they're supposed to be ranking the winners. They messed up part of they way though and changed the criteria. And ranked the matches as a whole and the aftermath.
Hurricane trying to chokeslam HHH and Austin is probably my favorite RR moment.
2020 Royal Rumble was the best rumble since 2010...imo
Weirdly Edge returned back in both of these rumbles..
I took a shot every time Ross said “lovely”........I am now in hospital
Wishing you all the best for your health. Good luck, sweetie
2011 was John Morrisons spoy kofi's Rumble saves started in 2012
Never forget that in the '05 Rumble, Daniel Puder got absolutely lit up with endless chops by Benoit, Hardcore Holly, and Eddie Guerrero. 🤚🤚
I heard somewhere that that wasn't staged and they all agreed before the match to fuck him up just because they didn't like him 💀
@@calvin8370 it might of been because of his kamura on kurt angel when he was doing tht challenge....could of broke his arm
That was legit payback for Puder disrespecting Angle a few weeks before.
@@MikeWilsonBarrett by disrespecting do you mean angle going off script and challenging him to a wrestle and then puder actually winning
There were two ways "Pat Patterson, who allegedly" could have gone and I wasn't ready for either of them to be honest
"It had really been hyped up by New Japan fans"
Nah, that poor AJ Vs Nakamura WM match was down to whoever produced it. Let's not try to shift the blame.
It was the motn
That's what I thought just let them go do what they already did at wrestle kingdom, which is pretty much new Japan's WrestleMania you had a template of what could have been
Agreed. It's nobody's fault but the bookers. Just let them have a goddamn match.
"Hot potato, hot potato, hot potato..."
Did Ross just toss out a Wiggles reference?
cold spaghetti, cold spaghetti
update from the 2020 Rumble: Drew McIntyre is the best! and Charlotte is alright, in terms of Rumble winners
Drew is not better then Flair or Benoit or Rey's rumble performances he may be lovely but Flair,Benoit and Rey lasted over an hour and won the thing Drew lasted 37 minutes yes but that is still not an hour
Yes I agree
Charlotte is Get in the Bin, at a time when the company is completely lacking women’s stars outside of the Four Horsemen, to push arguably the least captivating out of all of them still boggles my mind now.
Saskatoon is the city
Saskatchewan is the province
You’re welcome
came here to say the same thing. Also the capital is Regina, pronounced so it rhymes with a word that starts with a V
Neither of those are real places
Saskatoon is beautiful. Regina though, a bit sketchy...
Darth Boxman yes they are fam
Kush Money tbh Regina isn’t that bad
To answer the question about The Rock tearing his abdomen, it was in Cena vs Rock II
1988 Rumble
Ross: I haven't seen this in a while I don't remember much
1989 Rumble
Ross: I haven't seen this in a while I don't remember much
...
Repeat
Repeat
Repeat
...
1999 Rumble
Ross: I haven't seen this in a while I don't remember much
2013 Rumble
Ross: I haven't seen this in a while I don't remember much
Probably should've looked into them a little more before doing this? Just a thought. Good list though.
48:27 MOVE TERRY!!!
Typical Terry.
Doesn't work for me, brother!
What the hell??? You guys forgot the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia! Where would you rank that one????
that shouldn't count.
As far as I'm concerned, that match never existed. Titus just took a plane ride to Saudi Arabia and ran down a big ramp and tried to kill himself
RedLightning17 😂😂
@@WhelmedButReady God Tier rumble just for that moment. Everything else about that PPV was an utter shambles
I think you were very generous for 2-3 Rumbles (Rumble winners) by putting them in the Lovely tier, but generally you did a very nice and accurate ranking with many interesting comments.
I couldn’t take it seriously anymore after 04 and 07 weren’t put in the best. Goofy.
2020 Royal Rumble Update to the Tier:
Charlotte Flair - Get In The Bin
Drew McIntyre - Lovely. Lovely. Lovely.
"It's Christmas."
Ross' excuse for anything all year long. xD
I am sad to not see Rey in the best, it was such an amazing moment and he did win the title
WhoGivesAFucCk but his title reign was trash. The win was good, the big picture was hot garbage
Yeah but it was such a transparent attempt to cash in on Eddie's death and Rey was booked so badly as champion.
I saw the notification and audibly went "yes", always love a good tier list.
7:55 yeah Savage had a good match with Flair at 8 but he had an even better match with Warrior at 7.
29:56 2003 was great, led to two of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time. The Undertaker returned which people tend to forget that he was gone after No Mercy 2002 and the pop he got was massive
Rick Martel 91 rumble is the 1st truly great rumble performance imo
53:00 I mean the 2014 is also memorable of the last in ring sighting of CM Punk from the No. 1 spot
0:10 Jack is Ross... Ross is Jack...
What is real anymore?
You guys should do a tier list for Tag Teams!
Ross: Move Terry!!!
Hogan: *THAT DOESN'T WORK WITH ME BROTHER!!!*
92 was my first ever rumble and its still my favorite by a country mile. class of its own imo.
“Bald men bleed well”
“Yep, that’s the rule”
This was a sweet and cute moment
Favorite game is put closed captioning during British RUclips videos. Priceless
22:52 those guys in the front row in 1999 were the best. I rewinded to watch them dancing to Gangrel’s theme many times lol
Sid was a great main heel when given the chance and matched with the right wrestler. His match with Michaels at the 1997 rumble was really good.
Love the vid guys like usual,
I was making some content myself when i found out the way to fix the blurry text (atleast for me with my software)
Increasing the font but decreasing the pixel aspect ratio should do it!
Keep it up guys you're maybe almost as good as Going in RAW! :P
The chris Benoit one is one of the best that's the one where paul Heyman was making it hard for him to get a title shot sp he jump ships. That was the 1st time a superstar jumped shows
Fun fact Jerry Lawler debuted in the 1993 Royal Rumble, during the famous McMemphis feud, where Vince was a heel in USWA but a face in WWF and vice versa for Jerry, when he entered, it was a nice wave of boos
25:21 for me in terms of star power and the sheer storytelling of Austin winning after all the roadblocks from November 1999 was just pure gold
Hahaha the best Adam is back. Remember SUPPORT WRESLTE TALK
I love how respectful they are with each other
36:34 yeah it did happen, Taker finally confirmed it on the Broken Skull Sessions podcast
Ain't no Tier List like a Ross Tweddell Tier List
cuz a Ross Tweddell Tier List has *the bin*
No Ross Twiddle you are right, the fans do pay the wrestlers wages. Without fans there is no show, no sponsors, no revenue. You are very often correct and this is 100% the case.
I'd say put Beck Lynch's win at Just About Bearable, Triple H's 2016 win at Get In The Bin and you got yourself the proper tier list.
As much as many people will hate to acknowledge it, Benoit’s rumble win was the most satisfying.
Pete Doon for 2020 Rumble Winner. Because he likes to" 'urt peeple"
Get ready to put Cain Velasquez in the bin.
I was a hulkamaniac back in 93 (ten years old) and I didn’t buy the end of Mania 9. I watched it live with my Dad and It actually turned me on Hogan. I remember as a kid thinking that it made no sense. Really, it was the first time I questioned booking.
I personally feel 1992, 2001, and 2010 Royal Rumble matches are considered the best.
The ONLY good part about the 2017 Rumble was Corbin eliminating Strowman
The only good thing about that Rumble was the sequence.
Final 4: Orton, Reigns, Wyatt, Jericho
I mean. It could've been worse. Could've been.
Reigns, Undertaker, Goldberg, Lesnar
Speaking of Jumping Out your right Ross. Royal Rumble was 97 was the Royal Rumble in which Mil Mascaras eliminated himself.
RR 2002 Mr Perfect returned Maven Eliminated The Undertaker and Austin done his clock watching
He does that in '97 too, I think.
@@TimTE01 Austin was great pre broken neck amazing in ring after great on mic and everyone in the world hated him or loved him lol
Ask any random stranger outside about stone cold steve austin or hulk hogan every one will have an opinion on wtestling rock hbk bret etc many will say who people might say the actkr rock
Michael Muirhead ...and was I disputing that?
@@TimTE01 Did I say you were?
Michael Muirhead It sounded like you were explaining it to me.
I wasn’t sure why .
1:07:08 I actually prefer the 2019 Royal Rumble to the 2018 one for the Women's match. The 2019 they showcased the present and the future while 2018 was more about the first and nostalgia act for me
39:29 2008 was great. The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels started right where they left off from 2007, then Piper and Snuka moment, Triple H at a rampage, the John Cena return and the huge pop and the final 3 of Batista, Triple H and John Cena
31:30 some highlights would be the Chris Benoit at No. 1
Randy Orton and Mick Foley rivalry
The Undertaker starts his Deadman mind games on Kane
Goldberg and Lesnar officially start their feud
Then the whole John Cena and Big Show angle
I remember as a kid, watching Hogan take on Yokozuna at the end of Mania.... At the time, I was a lifelong Hogan fan. but watching him beat Yoko in suck a weird way after HE beat Hart, all I can remember was feeling like 'Of great, Hogan's back for another couple of years" since his reigns lasted years which coincidenced with the end of his contacts. It was already weird enough having a main event scene without Hogan, but for him to randomly pop back up, made it even more confusing....
For this year's rumbles I would rank the women's match in the Alright tier and the men's match in The Best tier.
92,01,07,10&18 are top tier imo
Therapist: *Shows picture of Hacksaw Jim Duggen*
Dean Ambrose: HOOOOO!
Therapist: *Show picture of Stephine McMahon*
Dean Ambrose: HOOOOO!
1996 , 2002 , 1992 , 2007 and 2012 are my top 5 favorite rumbles
Thank you for not acknowledging the Greatest Rumble
1999 rumble definitely doesn’t deserve to go in the bin
By far the worst attitude era Rumble.
It was so Russo
Pony Montana the ending is absolutely brilliant tho
Say what you will about the ruthless aggression era but that was the most consistently great streak of rumbles, all of them were in lovely lovely lovely no other era came close
This video is as long as a Royal rumble
I would put the Del Rio win in the bin. Hindsight is 20/20 and nobody knew that was going to be Edge's last match before his early retirement. But honestly, they should have had Christian win. He was coming back from injury. The fans were behind him for the most part. And a Christian vs Edge match at WM for the World Title would have been a hell of a moment. On top of that, despite WWE trying to push him as a big deal, Del Rio just wasn't clicking with the crowd.
I thought the 1995 rumble was very well booked because this was a time where the roster was at its thinnest but they were smart in keeping Shawn and Davey boy in the entire match. That way there always felt like there was star power and the wrestler every 60 seconds was a good concept to hide the limitations of the roster as well
WTF Moment: Jacks name card was under Ross and Ross name card was under Jack
I prefer Gary RUclips's opinion over Gary RUclips's. Sorry to say, I know that's an unpopular opinion.
I think Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy should have won the Tag Team titles at some point while they were a tag team.
Even though 97 didn’t lead to a championship match for Austin, his match with Bret was such a huge defining moment for him that I think it was almost better than a title match.
I think the 40 man rumble was a good concept. But it was mainly there for the nexus. It's a possibility to bring it back. To give more superstars an opportunity at the rumble.
So no memories of the Superkick to 619 to RKO to Nia Jax?
31:41 wwe: Oh woah who is that man!
Oh Chris Benoit?
"Would it have been as good without Bobby Heenan?" The answer to that question is always "no".
The appropriate response, anytime, anyone, anywhere says "without Bobby Heenan" is a slap to the face.
2004 and 2007 rumble should be included in the best
'13 was also when Ryback was at his peak and was last eliminated by Cena
I think this Rumble would've been rank higher if the main event of Wrestlemania was Cena vs Rock vs Punk.
Jack earned some big points with me by saying the 1990 Rumble is better than 1992. I couldn't agree more. 1990 is my favorite of all time.
The 1991 Rumble deserves way more love on the list though to me.
That's how good Kane was, In a 30 man royal rumble "Kane eliminated 75 guys"
Man 9 year old me was livid when Vince threw Austin over to win the rumble. I was shit talking Vince to my parents like I was about to jump into the tv and fight Vince lmao
Aye ross!! Royal Rumble was also my first ppv when i started watching wrestling again, made me love it again tbh
The last moments of the match with jericho slapping sheamus and him getting so pissed off was amazing
Savage / Warrior "Retirement Match" was at WM7. That had the Macho / Liz reunion which was the best moment of the otherwise subpar show.
This seemed to be more a rating of a Rumbles match than the Winner at times.
Constant Sorrow I mean if they didn’t rate the match including the aftermath, most of the winners they would be in the best.
99 was better if you were watching then, but it doesn’t hold up when you go back now and watch.
For me none of the old matches (before the attitude era) hold up. When I got the network I tried to watch Hogan vs Warrior and Savage vs Steamboat and couldn't watch more than five minutes of each match.
Poor Fake Diesel was screwed in '97.
He was eliminated AFTER Austin, but wasn't put in the 4 Corners Match.
27:29 the only thing I didn't like about the 2002 Royal Rumble is when they hyped the Big Evil Undertaker to be such a threat only to be eliminated early by Maven. But its the first Rumble I ever watched, so it will always have a soft spot, plus HHH looked like a 1000 bucks
Can't believe they didn't mention Too Cool and Rikishi dancing at the 2000 Rumble. Shame.
2002 Royal Rumble is the only reason anyone remembers Maven
Bone Street Krew sentence you to a bottle of Jack and 20 pure strikes.
23:57 Nevermind the 2000 Royal Rumble. The biggest travesty was the not booking of the Triple H vs The Rock match at Wrestlemania 2000
If you close your eyes, I feel like it’s very easy to believe the ninth doctor is reviewing wrestling stuff.
Gary RUclips and Gary RUclips are my favorite youtubers
42:41 that was the greatest Pro Wrestling match of all time. Or its in the conversation. The storytelling, the drama, the investment of the crowd. The Undertaker v Shawn Michaels at 25 is the best. Shame that the 26 match was hampered by the injury to Taker, because it actually had a more compelling story
2016 is a top 5 for me. Also, 2012-14 weren't bad. Far from the best but not bad. In fact, most rumbles have been pretty good to great. The only truly bad ones I can think of are 93, 99, and 2015.
Sorry lads, but whatever you think of the months after, Benoit's performance in the Rumble was clearly the best individual performance. For being the smartest Rumble winner ever he needed to go in the Best.
29:30 the match was excellent at Mania XIX. One botch, and that was uncomfortable to watch, doesn't make it less remarkable.
These are the only tier videos I watch
Sometime in the future id enjoy seeing a breakdown of how the final four of each rumble ended up doing in their careers.
Gotta love Gary Youtubing from Gary RUclips 1 and 2
