Kevin and Rebecca discuss foreign secretary Lord David Cameron demanding the BBC call Hamas a terrorist group.
Lord Cameron told the BBC’s Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg programme: “Maybe it’s a moment actually for the BBC to ask itself again, shall we describe these people as terrorists? They are terrorists.”
In response, a BBC spokesperson said: “No-one consuming BBC News can be left unaware of the horrific nature of Hamas’ acts.
“We’ve made our long-standing position on this matter very clear - we use the word terrorist when it is attributed to others, such as the UK Government.”

I've stopped watching, stopped paying a few years back as there are too many aspects the BBC are undertaking which i just don't agree with, their bias against israel is one of them. they have enough wealth to fend for themselves after investing taxpayer money and buying further studios, expanding for years. stop asking us pay for this garbage.
We are socially defined by our actions and not by how we self identify. Hamas commits acts of terrorist barbarism and should be called and recognised as a terrorist army because it uses terror. There can be arguments about other groups that are in a war conflict as to what they may be defined as but Hamas is explicitly using terror and there should be no question as yhe factual reality defines them as such.
To call them terrorists you would have to call the IDF terrorists and they haven't got the bottle for that. Also if you're going to call them terrorists then you have to look at what the UK and US did in the early 2000s, and also look in to Guantanamo bay prison, else you'd look like a hypocrite

About the US I tend to agree, they subcontract some dubious "services" and practices. But then, democracy is dying and not "trendy", you must play by the rules of your foes... There are actually in legal terms no terrorists in gaza or the west bank . The international law says that they are "freedom fighters" because they are the ones being occupied against their will and the international law says they can use " any means possible " to resist an occupation .
Resisting an occupation force is called "freedom fighting" in international law . In this case it is Israel that is the occupying or"terrorist" force . That is why Israel is on trial right now at the ICJ for genocide . The simple fact is that in law someone who is being occupied can resist an occupation " by any means possible " That is why Israel is in the dock on trial right now and hamas and the other armed freedom fighters are not in the dock . The Law always takes the side of the just and that means the occupier and its forces can never be on the right side of the law . The same applies to Russia invading Ukraine . The law is there to act as a deterent to occupation forces invading others rather than protect and encourage invading / occupying as a means of colonialism and land grabs .

If what you showed of what Mr Cameron said is the benchmark for terrorist then when will Israel be named as such?
