Can"t beat old school chat and rope knots.. fast forward the tech today are outstanding.. Method Rims,Tie gear, Icheck TPMS and many others are the way to further your experience in 4x4 today.
Thanks for your honesty and helpful information during this week's video. I wasn't sold on hubby's idea of changing the rims on our 4x4, but those 'Method Rims' may have changed my mind. Thanks Cam!
Method Rims are so popular you see them on all the best looking 4WD's. Those Tiegear ropes look pretty nice too. Keep up the good work Cam your channel is one of the best ones out there 👍
Old bloke here, in 1998 bought a 80 series Land Cruiser from new. Always ran steel wheels on previous 4bys before that. I kept meaning to change the factory alloys on my 80 series, but in 19 years of ownership, never did, they just worked. Did the usual wheeling and long distance desert trips, beach driving, never ran a tyre of the rim. For the past 5 years been driving an fj cruiser, stuck with the factory alloys, no issues. So l would say you’ve made the right choice.
Nice Method Rims mate. The black rims make such a great improvement to the truck and were also the first thing I changed when we picked up our GXL in June. Same size and offset as yours too.
The new rig will keep you busy, thanks for the didcount code. Will be super interesting to see how the Yokohama's go, Coopers do the same thing in regards to warranty. The Method Rims look cool, will be interesting to see how they stack up against the steelies.
Ive been taught the same from my Dad. Steel wheels are for offroad, Alloys are for the street. Not sure if I'm ready to put a set of METHOD RIMS on my cruiser yet, but they do look nice!
Hey Cam ya rig is coming together nicely! I'm really interested and I may copy everything you do if I get a 300, but those Method Rims really set that off! Great choice mate!
The matte black Method Rims look amazing against the white of the 300. I really looking forward to see where this build goes. Can't wait for OffRoad Living to be involved. Cheers, Binksy
Wheel/tyre combo looks great. I looked to get some bronze 'method rims' when i upgraded from stock but there was a long wait. Thanks for the info and the geolander warranty as I got a set recently.
Thanks Cam, I've ordered an XLT Ranger cab chassis (with a canopy from Thunderfab) and will check out the Method Rims, it's good to see some innovation coming through to help keep the bead in place. Cheers Gaz
Have always used Ali rims and had no issues on my 4WD, do love the "Method Rims" bead gripping grooves. Snap I have just fitted the same tyres. Love them. You are right low road noise for such an aggressive tread. What sold me was the warranty to and a great price I got at the 4WD Show. I also drag race motorcycles a 300+hp NOS bike. Run rear tyre pressure at 7psi and put all that hp into it on launch. We use bead gripping rims and for extra security a dozen self drilling screws either side of the rim drilled into the bead. The tyre has never come off or slipped on the rim.
Car is looking wicked with the Method Rims Cam. Love that they pretty well much match the caravan. Another informative video explaining the new tyres and rims.
Great to see your willing to give new things a go Cam, the new ‘Method Rims’ looks great on the 300 and it will be interesting to see if their bead grip system actually works!
This bead grip feature of these Method rims convinced me to go aftermarket. I was all about OEM wheels and would've been completely fine with stock steelies also with the old school thought of hammering the rim back but if they're that strong you'd need to drive off a cliff to damage them and the bead grip feature is innovation that just makes the difference. The tire guys having trouble removing tires from these Method rims is one hell of a compliment, just brilliant! Now I'll just have to find ones that look like steelies.😂
Well METHOD RIMS. Recently taken delivery of my new Semi offroad Snowy River caravan and these TieGear awning tie downs would really be a great addition. Thanks Gary
Hi Cam & Tiff, (Method Rims) The new journey starts. we've just finished our VX Prado upgrade, which took over 12 mths! You are going to have a ball!😊 Cheers, John & Karen
Love the 'method rims' on the 300. We've just bought ourselves a 200 and may consider upgrading thanks to your explanation on why you went that way. Happy travels.
The 300's looking good with the new shoes on it. Very interested in how the Method Rims bead grip works out...looks the part. Can't wait for you to test them at very low pressures and let us all know if it works as intended.
Method Rims with Yokohama tyres, what a setup, they look great, I've been running Yokohama tyres for 6 years now, there fantastic and keen to see how these G016s go
I think internal sensors for a 4wd tpms are a must External sensors are prone to air leaks due to the pressure working against the seal whereas the schrader valve works with the pressure to increase the the seal Also when airing up and down you are now managing a fragile product on a regular basis Method Rims are a nice touch😊
Me Like, Me want these Method rims. Like the idea of having those ridges on the inside of the rim to keep the tyre on when running low pressures. Love ya work Cam of CamTouring
You will love the yokies they have been my go to tyre for many years. Good in the wet strong construction. I couldn't get the go16 on last change they were new and covid stock issues went with go15 and about 40k on them - birdsville track -outback queensland- flinders, Cameron's corner etc. still going strong. Method rims look good on your rig
Method rims, I ran the Yokohama’s on my old 200 and never had a drama. Still looking at tyres for my new wildtrack. Thanks for the info re the bolt change, I have the 301s on our new van as well but prefer the rims you put on your cruiser. You have helped me make my mind up
Method rims really make the new family truckster stand out from the crowd. I hope the tyres turn out to be good. I have been running Pirelli tyres on my old cruiser, very happy with them.
Solid choice with the Method 703 Rims; I've got a set of them, not only are they a timeless look but are solidly constructed, with high quality paint and the bead grip technology gives you a lot of confidence lowering tyre pressures. Yes they're pricey as but skimping on things that keeps you on the ground is never an option. Cheers
Love the new “Method Rims” mate that ribbed technology makes sense, the 300 looks bloody mint !
The haters will be crying in their tea 😂
Congrats Chris, you’re the winner of the tiegear pack 🙂 send us an email at wildtouring1@gmail.com and we will organise sending it out to you.

Thanks for your honesty and helpful information during this week's video. I wasn't sold on hubby's idea of changing the rims on our 4x4, but those 'Method Rims' may have changed my mind. Thanks Cam!

Love Method Rims. Always look great and are a fantastic product. Love seeing the construction as shown by you.
Method Rims are so popular you see them on all the best looking 4WD's. Those Tiegear ropes look pretty nice too. Keep up the good work Cam your channel is one of the best ones out there 👍
Love the Method Rims. They really set the vehicle off nicely.
The "Method Rims" look great, the bead protection should be a game changer at lower tyre pressures
Method rims make the 3 hundy look like a beast! Loving the vids Cam and Tiff, super excited to see what the 300 looks like when the build is finished.
Always look forward to tuning in every Saturday, the big 300 looking good sitting on them method rims.

Good to hear mate! Yeah I think alloys have come a long way these days.
Nice Method Rims mate. The black rims make such a great improvement to the truck and were also the first thing I changed when we picked up our GXL in June. Same size and offset as yours too.

Big fan of the ‘method rims’ !! Very excited for you guys with the new whip, and can’t wait to see all the adventures you guys have in it.
The new rig will keep you busy, thanks for the didcount code. Will be super interesting to see how the Yokohama's go, Coopers do the same thing in regards to warranty. The Method Rims look cool, will be interesting to see how they stack up against the steelies.

Looks wild! Method Rims , best method to get the cruiser looking and performing like a beast , nice choice
The cruiser’s coming together nicely, especially with the Method Rims !!
Hey Cam ya rig is coming together nicely! I'm really interested and I may copy everything you do if I get a 300, but those Method Rims really set that off! Great choice mate!
The white with black rims is still the cleanest style for a 4x4 in my eye. Love the method rims. Keen to see how you adapt to the change in setup
Love the method rims. Looks mean up high also👍
Thanks Cam, I've ordered an XLT Ranger cab chassis (with a canopy from Thunderfab) and will check out the Method Rims, it's good to see some innovation coming through to help keep the bead in place. Cheers Gaz
Method Rims. You,Tiff and the kids will have a lot of enjoyment in this car. It sounds very quiet inside while traveling.
It is! So nice coming from the dmax as the road noise in it was shocking!
Have always used Ali rims and had no issues on my 4WD, do love the "Method Rims" bead gripping grooves. Snap I have just fitted the same tyres. Love them. The Method Rims look great. Definitely suits the 300. Such a great choice Cam.

Method Rims would have to be at the top of just about every 4wders list!!! Nice work
