Atomic Kitten was about to be dropped by their record label before 'Whole Again' saved them. A number 8, in the UK alone at that, isn't enough for Simon Cowell.
It's a shame, because their album was a pretty good pop album. Strangely enough, this debut single was weak compared to a lot of the tracks on it. That may have been part of the problem.

I remember that they quickly disappeared after just two songs. Watching this video now I realize that they tried to emulate the Spice Girls quite a lot. Jodi did a backflip like Mel C (not as good though), Nikki had the pigtails like Emma (I think Nikki is the best dancer of the group anyway), Michelle had flamboyant Ginger hair, Linzi was kinda Posh. Was Anika supposed to be Mel B?
This is hilarious looking back. I think they was some kinda cross over. I’d say the dark haired one emulated Mel b, the pink ginger. Jodie as baby but sporty with the flips, the pig tailed one as posh but giving Emma vibes, and the other one as sporty.
Love that Simon Cowell refused to manage the spice girls, then managed Girl Thing in an attempt to remake the Spice Girls fame. I like Girl thing and they should have done better in the industry but they weren't as good at the spice girls. :-)
