Just bought the MO-2. As a lead singer and bassist in a rock duo, this pedal has numerous possibilities. I have it at the front of my effects chain, and the octave up on full tracks as good as a Pog. Adding some nice distortion down the line, as well as some delay or reverb really filled out my sound.
This is one of those effects I didn't know I wanted or had a use for until I heard it. Not usually a fan of pitch shift type effects. Anyway, thanks for doing this on bass. From the sounds of the video I think it works better for bass than it does for guitar.
For as much as I love using this effect on guitar, I come to believe that it probably sits and sounds way better with bass more than anything else. But that's just my thoughts on it.
Hey guys, I'm having a hard time seeing if your going all the way down to open e string. I had a MXR Bass octave deluxe and that sucker would glitch like crazy on the lower registers. I was curious if this bad boy had similar issues (chalk that up to the nature of octavers/shifters) . Very intriguing effect. Would especially like to try this with keyboard swells.
I went to play with it again, and it seems to track really well on the low register stuff. I'm using a 5 string Schecter and it's tracking very clearly up to about a low D (3rd fret, low B string) anything lower than that kind of gets lost behind the really low bass frequencies, but it by no means sounds glitchy. I hope that helps a little! -Will
I never knew this pedal existed. The sound is really nice, but for the price, would it be better to spend a bit more and get the Bass Whammy or Pitchfork? thanks for the demo!
Brian Cherry Sometimes you have to be ;) They honestly are both really cool pedals. Like I said, we are partial to the Pitch Fork. It's a bit less expensive than the Whammy and also more compact so it really becomes a matter of space and budget.
totally. I really appreciate the opinion. I was fill on Whammy until I heard your demo of the pitch fork. I dont mind the bigger pedal... it just sounds so awesome. In a perfect world I could have an 8-string bass, but since thats not an option it seems like the pitch fork might do the trick. Thanks for the great videos!
As a proud Pitch Fork owner, this doesn't sound to me like it does the same thing enough to where that would be a replacement for this or vice versa. This sounds octave-y I guess but not the the same sound or functionality-wise ultimately.
hi Will! I hope you are doing good! I wanted to ask you how do you see this pedal used instead of an octaver, before an envelope filter in order to have some fat funk sound? (on bass, of course) Greetings for your reviews! Marco
Ti scrivo in italiano, questo Multi Overtone, è veramente eccezionale 🙌👋

how's it working out?

great sound and amazing jazz bass in red
Dude, this is killin. Sounds almost like a synth bass sound. Should have tried it out with some other effects in the chain too.
Makes your 4 string bass sound like an 8 string bass or even a 12 string bass.
Reminds me of my old EHX POG! Very cool.

Great solution when the guitarist asks for a raise and you kick him out
Demo the SY-1!

Helps plenty!! Boner achieved!

We are huge fans of the Pitch Fork. The Bass Whammy is great as well.
That's a very PC response ;)

Awesome!
It almost has an organ like sound
Does the stereo output on the pedal send the effected signal to another amp or will it just split it so the effect is on both?

I use the Boss MD-200 with the overtone effect before an envelope filter, it sounds amazing !
欲しい!
It sounds more like a chorus more than anything
But that’s just to my ears I guess
Don't really know what to make of this pedal because the demo player is kind of all over the place.
Is that not the point?
