There are grommets in all different places on a car already around the cab or under the bonnet for the existing wiring so I am sure you could find one that can be utilised for one extra wire and the idea of the panel is it charges as you are driving throughout the day as well as when you park. I am not against solar blankets in the slightest when you are camping for a while in the same place but if you are in a different place every day then you are limiting the amount of solar captured with a blanket.

Honestly I rarely use solar/never need it. Im thinking of putting a small panel on the roof rack or RTT so when it is sitting around it will get some sun here and there plus I'll set it up so when im driving the dual battery system will charge off both the dc-dc charger/alternator and the solar panel too meaning Ill be getting 40ish amps per hour when driving in the sun
