If you can accept that a film can be completely aesthetics, mood and performances, I think this is absolute aces considering what a treasure we having in Bowie and Deneuve and the X factor of a juicy Susan Sarandon here ...

Tony Scott’s first film. It is very loosely based off a novel by Whitley Strieber, but the novel and its sequels aren’t very good. The movie is a better version of the story. Miriam is another species, implied to be an alien in the novels. This movie does suffer from style over substance in my opinion, but it is very cool and memorable style.
Then you should watch Liquid Sky! Super corny but awesome 80’s indie film. Lots of club scenes and lots of 80’s alternative/punk colors and subculture. I love that movie, despite its campiness.
God, I love that movie. Bauhaus - Bowie - Deneuve - Vampires - perfection. This is the first YT video I've seen without one thumbs down. Oh, I ruined it now.
I finally watched this film for the very first time today and I fucking loved it!!!!!! There was nothing quite like this when it came out and it’s a damn shame that it didn’t get more recognition. But it did launch Tony Scott’s career!
I watched it for the first time with my mother. The ending still makes me think of her because we both reacted the same way. We had a very similar taste in films. She also told me those kind of women do exist - the ones who just collect men and use them up, and keep them like trophies in the attick of their past. She taught me to recognise the signs and stay the hell away...
Bowie and Deneuve are meant to be hundreds of years old. At 1:58 they're probably saying "Would you believe the crap they call music these days? It's all just noise, and you can't even hear what they're singing, bloody kids don't know they're born, I miss the war" (etc.).
Tous ceux qui ont vu le film à l'époque ne se sont jamais remis de cette scène... et de la suite sanglante dans la cuisine ! Tout ceci grâce à la formidable tension exprimée dans cette chanson culte... Vive Bauhaus!
