I think this video goes to prove the TDWP is the most diverse band ever. To write an EP about zombies, to make a music video that looks like Tool made it, to have ridiculous names for song, to have the most energetic love performances, and to make a music video about puppets, they really break all barriers in the metal. These guys are truly awesome. Not only that but to keep your faith in the metal scene? You'd get so much hate but these guys keep at it, there's a special reason why these guys are my favorite band.
totally agree. I’ve been following their work for more than 10yrs. Listening to them again after a while is like hugging my teenage self. And now that I’ve grown up I can read even more between the lines of their lyrics. I was literally crying listening to this album it’s just so intense..
I'm christian but I admire this band, specially when they write songs like this. We can find love elsewhere but the true love can be found in Jesus Christ. His love never fails
I'm a Christian as well, but you'll catch me listening to thy art is murder on the regular lol but august burns red would be right up your alley. Nothing but a Great metal band with a great message. Glad you like this song!
Devil wears prada is actually a Christian based band. Although the band today isn't promoted as particular Christian along with only a couple members proclaiming their Christianity as some members have left and new ones joined.
Growing up in a household where my older siblings would listen to roots above, plagues, dead throne, zombie ep. I always felt like TDWP was the band of my childhood if that makes sense. But 8:18 is what made me become a huge fan of this band when it released and they hold a really big place in my heart. From a fan that loves your guys music to bits, thank you TDWP
Probably the most interesting video prada ever put out, as someone who's taken film classes it's awesome to see a different idea because they honestly could of put out a generic video like most bands do.
I concur. TDWP have certainly grown up from being just another group of scene kids emulating popular metalcore acts. They're mature and original, and I think they're one of a few bands that are playing heavy music, selling a lot of records, and being genuine artists all at the same time. You don't see all three of those things in the same band very often. I have a lot of respect for them.
Yeah, I'm a huge fan of TDWP. Have been for a long time now. Just look at my username. I'm so glad they're not a generic metal band. I don't like these other bands that sound the same for every single album. I like how TDWP's albums all sound different especially Dead Throne and 8:18. They've really progressed with their music. They're getting better and better and not putting out generic same breakdowns for the whole entire song like a lot of other bands. TDWP and ABR are the only two metalcore bands I listen to. I don't even like the term metalcore to be honest. I'll just call em Metal bands. I have to say though, my taste in music has changed a lot and I haven't listened to metal in nearly a year but TDWP and ABR are the only metal bands of the current generation that I truly respect.
TheeDevilWearsPrada Breakdown of Sanity is a really good band. They are still underground (been around for a few years), so not many people have heard of them, but they are amazing. They don't use many cleans either. If you get a chance, you should check em out. Try "Blind" or "The Writer" for starters.

Slootyboot yea that's a pretty good point. For instance, I love early ADTR, but its no masterpiece. I often wonder just how much nostalgia ends up making music better then it actually is in our minds, hence the, "Their older stuff was way better."

Slootyboot TDWP's early stuff was not generic at the time. Now, yes because everyone tried to sound like them and it's been overdone. But at the time it was fresh, that's just how I see it lol
I don't quite understand the whole concept of generic. Its a subgenre/genre, ie bands of similar tastes or writing styles having their own take on it. it literally just makes no sense why people complain about this it baffles me to no end. People have been reusing riffs melodies and whatnot throughout all of music history, if someone had to come up with something completely original to be liked music would have died a long time ago.
Roxas3510 Well, the News i heard is that they were recording Sailor's prayer and war, but i guess my News were wrong, 'cause it was saying that the one for war would be released this month, and then they would release sailor's prayer. i'm kinda confused now

When you listen to these new songs more than once, you start to understand them more and make more sense of the structure and amazing music will begin to reveal itself. Personally I think the new album is amazing, its heavy, raw and some of the most unique metal I've ever heard.
All these years later I keep coming back to this song. The feels behind it and then the heavyness, what a tune. I love this band.

I often wonder just how much nostalgia ends up making music better then it actually is in our minds, hence the, "Their older stuff was way better."
Slootyboot You can't really say their older stuff is generic tbh, because at that time they were original before bands started to go for that style. To me TDWP just sounds like a more progressive and heavier Underoath.
Nah
Suas musicas sao muito legais. Eu amo vocês. Lindos
I kinda saw that ending coming, I was expecting something more dramatic from the comments lol
Especially when you see the alert about anniversary and you see him drinking in the next frame.
I was not expecting get that ending at all. I also really like this song
Hey look a metalcore band that knows how to use a guitar
SavageMadman 99 lol this comment wins
AHHHHHHH lmao
without the typical djent...
+SavageMadman 99 Do you even listen to metalcore? There are so many great bands out there with amazing guitarwork.
Exactly what I was thinking lmao
i love this song and this video
Can't wait to see the one for War, should be amazing :)
Is there going to be one for War?
Roxas3510 Well, the News i heard is that they were recording Sailor's prayer and war, but i guess my News were wrong, 'cause it was saying that the one for war would be released this month, and then they would release sailor's prayer. i'm kinda confused now
Victor Montel I hope they do make one for War, I'm sure it would be interesting.
Roxas3510 Would be pretty nice if it follows that line with the dolls you know, but it would be the best music vídeo ever if that doll was Kermit the frog hahahahaha it's silly, but dammit...
This video was sweet sad and very creative. Way to think outside the box guys!
So sad. ;_; Dat instrumental section at 1:40 doe... Probably my favorite part of the song.
When you listen to these new songs more than once, you start to understand them more and make more sense of the structure and amazing music will begin to reveal itself. Personally I think the new album is amazing, its heavy, raw and some of the most unique metal I've ever heard.
