The passion and skill are so exemplary, that you'd think that someone had gone back in time and brought Hylton's band into the 21st century for this concert! Well done on getting his style spot-on!
I listen to a public radio show here in Washington DC called “hot jazz Saturday night” and the show that just ended was dedicated to Nichols, it was awesome. Oh and what a world tragedy this goddamn covid shit is, sad. I’m crazy for early jazz and music dedicated to it. Rest In Peace
I knew Keith and I heard about his death from that same show (I have been a regular listener to it for more than 35 years). Sadness doesn't even begin to say it.
happy music :D sounds like an original arrangement even, oh to hear that stuff in hifi :D
Superb!
Excellent! I really enjoyed that!
Classique !
Oh, this is good. Just wish I could hear the singer.
This sounds fantastc. Sounds identical to the original 78 RPM recordings. I wonder if they're using his original sheet music

'Happy Feet'
I've got those happy feet!
Type Roy Tate on RUclips to find 3 albums by the State Street Aces -Happy Feet was on Vol.2 called Pass Out Lightly Vince Giordano gave us the Bill Challis arrangement of D Natural Blues. I got to sit in with Kustbandt and played on a Bent Persson album. I also was blessed to play about 90 gigs with Bill Rank. in the 1960's. Your orchestra is loaded with talent and and as terrific as Charquet or the Hot Antics with Jabbo Smith
Paul Whiteman would be intrigued; nice rendition
