It's been months since we've been at the flea market, and it's time! I have a lot of merchandise that's starting to pile up, so we're headed to the Stockton fairgrounds to sell it all (hopefully). Come along for the adventure and see how we do it!

I've done sales for fifty years. To sell more, put prices on the items or sort them into bins by price. (you can use colored dots or tapes to indicate price. ) It is easy to pass by a "price-less" item because the dealer is too busy telling someone the price elsewhere. The potential buyer wants to get around and see other booth deals. If the price is marked, and its a good price, people keep looking and buying from you!

Around here $400 is a great day. I used to run a 2 day garage sale once a month selling stuff we got in storage lockers, and we usually made between $250 and $300 for 2 full days, from 8am to 3pm. If you worked an 8 hour day at a job and made $400, that is $50 an hour.

I have a "Tub 'o Shoes" that I display every event. I tell people that they are "a dollar a shoe, so two dollars a pair, and three if it is a "matching" pair. Get a lot of double takes and smiles.

Look at you and all the plastic bags. :) I'm envious. Can't get one of those in Canada anymore, all reusable bags and bring your own. Which I always forget to take with me and have to buy more..so I have this huge collection of reusable bags. :)
I don't mean to be a jerk but, I just am so picky about keeping my bills in the same direction and all together in the same denomination. When I was young, I was taught by an older man who said it was the best way to not make mistakes in this fashion!!

I work night audit at a hotel, so I get to see a lot of sunrises & here's what I've observed regarding outside temperatures at sun-up: humidity tends to increase overnight & when the sun comes up, it "boils off" that excess humidity. in the process, that water vapor soaks up some ambient warmth & thus, for as long as 30 minutes, the temperature drops. this can be kinda welcome during a warm, humid summer.

Hey Jack didn't you hear me yelling "no-o I need those shoe stretchers"☺️. One of the thrift stores I frequent was asking $20 a pair 😲🙄. I finally found some at Goodwill for $3.00🎉
You really have great bargains. Maybe I'll rent a space this spring/summer to get rid of the bags and miscellaneous items I still have from when I was a reseller of pre-owned designer bags. I wasn't comfortable doing it last year with COVID rampant but... we'll see. Thanks for sharing ✨

You should put that Stetson hat in your auction my brother worked for them for over 30 years the cheapest hat they made cost about 15 $ for a ball cap but most will cost over a 100

My sister & I are having an annual garage sale next weekend. My prices will be low, getting folks to pay me to haul off my stuff, instead of taking it all bit by bit to the thrift store!

I could watch this all day! There is nothing like sales! I did the Clark County Dair fir 20 years selling their logowear & souvenirs....I did it 10 days straight every summer. 7am-1am, pouring rain to 100' days....I ❤️ sales!!

So entertainng! In Sweden there are plastic taxes. One plastc bag is like 3/4 a dollar or...7 cents.
Yeah, here in Japan our store mall charges 5 yen (equivalent to 5 cents) per bag, but some stores like the Japanese version of dollar general stores charge 3-8 yen (equivalent to 3-8 cents) per bag. Otherwise it's bring your own economy handbag, or leftover plastic bags for items bought, and we'll put a special color tape on the tag so we know it's a purchased item, not stolen one. 💪💪💪👨👩👧👧👫🤰👶🇺🇸🇯🇵🌏🗻🗾
