I suggest to anybody doing the ac compressor double check the tensioner make sure it's good if not tackle it right there because the bolts for tensioner are behind the ac compressor
You need to test every combination of climate settings to figure out what does work and what does not. Each setting for example Defrost hot/cold Floor hot/cold Center hot/cold Combination hot/cold Make a list and check off each one and what it does. Are there any clicking sounds, whirring sounds? When you select different modes do the panel indicator lights work?
@@jorgeanaya4393 ok check for 12.5 volts at the battery. Then confirm this at the fuse panel and the climate fuses. Check for any corrosion if they all check out pull the ac face panel and get access to to ac amplifier. That is what power's everything. Confirm 12.5 volts at the plug that powers the amplifier.
Great shot at 3:49. Makes me think it is a push the clip. As I am broke down I guess I will have to pull the road fans condenser tranny line etc. Unless someone has a suggestion on getting the sensor unplugged.

thanks for this! Will help a great deal now that I have to replace the compressor...
Thank you for your video I am in a similar situation approximately how much would this whole job cost thank you
The labor is about 1.5 hours. The parts are what is costly. On this vehicle I installed a used part.
Thanks for the video. Did you have to change any other old AC components in the car to protect the new compressor? Eg condenser, expansion valves etc?
No
Wow I like the way you work I need a mechanic like you, do you live in Florida?
No, I am in Texas
I have ? I had a mechanic recently change my ac compressor it worked fine for about ten minutes when out of nowhere only the ac buttons don't work

The panel lights do not work and there is no clicking noice but everything else Electrical in the vehicle works perfectly fine

I broke the crank position sensor wires doing an alternator. Can the sensor be disconnected without removing the AC compressor?

@@jasonmoss6891 you will need to remove the compressor to get to the wires.
Great shot at 3:49. I got to it but don't know if I can fix the connector.
Which is the the crank position sensor wire ? How u broke it?..my won't crank after I change my alternater but I dont see anything broken?
We checked all relays and non are fried any idea to what could this be
Swap?
Slap, flip, swap, remove old broken one then install a compressor that is not broken
