I think it makes sense Paul. It's not as if we haven't got the time whilst out and I think being prepared gives us a big edge. Thanks for your time watching and commenting Paul🙏

Gel blocks are only £1.50 for six at Go Outdoors (with membership, which is £5). Worth it if you buy in bulk. Alternatively, you can buy bottles of the fire gel at B and Q.
Are they really, wow. I know where to stock up. Thanks buddy, yes I've seen the Gel in B+Q. I get my liquid ethanol there for my trangia. Cheap as chips .
I had no idea this was now a military item tank. We love this stove, simple, stable and reliable. Definitely don’t last long if you’re cooking but great for dry pack foods and boiling water. The lid is a good tip too.
Yes mate, it's what the now British army get issued along wiv the fuel tabs. I don't know if you seen the video where I only use half a tab for a brew . It's the smallest stove in the world video. It will save everyone a few quid...
I use my stove as a wind block for the trangia meth burner. Never been a fan of the hexamine, I've got enough trouble with tabboco giving me Cancer. Cool film Lee.👍🏴
I like to make experiment to make my own fuel block using waste (wood, papers, charcoal, clothes...) and parrafine/beewax. Its not always very efficient (depending the material) but it work very well. The tactical dog is mandatory for survival by the way.
That's very well used stove 🙂 I've been using my Firedragon stove for a few years now and really like it. I like it's utter simplicity and reliability. There's nothing to go wrong and even if it gets soaking wet it still works. Plus I personally prefer gel over alcohol/meths as there's no potential problems with leakage or spillage. I find that a full windshield really improves the efficiency (as with most stoves). I use one of those cheap folding windshields. I probably use the gel fuel more than the blocks as I can judge quite well how much fuel to pour to give me the cooking time I want. I've found that completely filling the fuel tray with gel gives me about 12 minutes of useful flame compared to about 8 for a block. The only downside I've found with the gel is that it can be very difficult to pour when it gets down to freezing overnight so I always carry some blocks with me (why would you not?). All in all I'm very happy with my stove.
More or less fella, its what the boys in green now get issued. when you buy them the tabs dont come with them like the hexi stoves ok mate. great backup for on the bank or to keep in the car for emergencies.
Your the first person to get everything ready before lighting 😊 the others only rubbish the stove and fuel thank you for proving them wrong 😊
