Thx...need to propogate mine...tall thin and yes leaves are spacious and a joy to watch as they grow💜 informative info for sure👍keep mine in a pot on my patio and loves it there, however here in north Carolina USA weather getting cooler so wanted to find out how to keep it looking fabulous...will bring in soon...was 50's last night 😊I use gallon water with pinch of miracle grow for plants...just started doing so🤔

Mine hate being in any type of sandy mix. I have a Euphorbia Ingens and a Euphorbia Trigona Red Cathedral, and both mine are planted in a mix of unfertilized sphagnum moss and Perlite (1 handful of Perlite per 2 handfuls of soil), with some Leca in the bottom for extra drainage, and mine are growing like absolute mad. They get so fussy when I try to add some sand into the mix.. And both are in direct sunlight from noon till sundown 😂 During the winter they even love being a few hours under my grow lights.
In regards to the sap, when you cut it just put the "wound" under running cold water. The sap will stop almost instantly :)

💚 Hello. Could you please tell me if there's any new info or updates on the plant care? I've read once that they shouldn't be watered from October to March. I also live in Berlin, Germany, but I use lamps in winter.
I wanna make sure she doesn't lose her leaves. The soil is currently feeling bone dry, light as a feather, but I'm scared to over-water again.

I see this video is a year old but still hoping to get some advice. I've had my Euphorbia trigona, (the all green one) for around 25 to 30 years. It is around 6 feet tall. Unfortunately we had a flooding issue in our house last year and my plant got stuck in behind all the furnishings we had to move out of the wet area. It didn't get any water for months and now it is all dried and brittle. The main stem seems ok, but the branches growing off that stem are dried and brittle. I would really love to save this plant as it's almost as old as my son, who grew up with it, and loves it. Do you have any suggestions on what I could do to save it? I was thinking maybe I could cut off all the stems to a few inches from the main trunk. Or possibly cut the top of the main trunk, and remove all the stems. Anyhow, I do hope you get to see my comment, even a year after your video, and can help me. Thank you and thanks for the good video. I also didn't know these plants need to be watered more then I had been doing throughout it's life! Good to know! I'll also subscribe to your channel. I enjoyed watching very much, thanks.

Just got one and I noticed that two stems are turning white 😮 what can it be?
I just got a white euphoria in. And the roots seem to be at the very bottom and soil seems to be piled around the trunk of it. 2 or 3 inches. Is this how they grow? Or do I need to repote it and put the roots at the top of the pot? And it also seems like it would be very wobbly. And I would need to support it.
I've had mine for 3wks..8t started getting soggy in the middle.. what do I do??
You know mine was dry at the top too inches but it was dying I dumped it out to find out there was a huge pocket of water so I repotted it into a pot with holes

I think the white ghost requires slightly less water as it doesn’t grow as fast so It doesn’t dry out as fast. Otherwise I treat mine both the same.

What about the leaves? I bought one a couple of days ago and its alread losing its leaves, I've watered it once a week and its by the south western window so afternoon + eve sun...
In my experience they tend to lose leaves more when underwatered. They also turn a bleached out yellow color when they are getting too much light. It is possible that they can get too much direct light as they don’t need as much sun as cacti. They would prefer morning sun if you are giving them direct light.
@@photosyntheguys8032 Thanks, will def try to water it more then. Keep the soil slightly moist a few inches deep! I will keep an eye out for the coloour. I live in Belgium (Europe), which is +- comparable to USDA zone 8 so I have it inside a 1,5 meters away from the window in order for it get sufficient sun as I read its better for it to retain that beautiful red colour.

I just got one that's in rough shape. 1 "branch" is kinda falling over. Do you know how I can get that one to stand up straight again or should I cut it off?
Hi, if the branch is falling over it is best to cut the branch. It won’t stand up on its own again. You can definitely get a propagation out of it if the branch is still healthy. And a new branch will grow from the cut spot. Make sure to make the smallest surface area cut possible to make a smaller blemish on the mother plant.
Can I cut the main plant at the base of my milk tree ?? Mine got extremely weak and soft and it’s only about 3 feet tall 😔
Hi, yes you can. I’ve actually seen this method before to make a fuller plant. If you cut the main stem and let it callous over, when it grows again it will grow many arms from where it was cut. Be sure to let it dry out though if it is weak and soft, it may be from overwatering.
after propagation does the cutting on the mother plant need to be sealed in any way ?

in your video you saperate cacti from succulents, when in reality cacti are succulents. So saying that the euphorbia trigona is inbetween cacti and succulents doesn't really make sense, because again, euphorbia are succulents too. Correct me if im wrong but thats what i learned at school
also cacti and euphorbia are NOT closely related. Cacti are native to america, while euphorbia are native to africa. They evolved seperatly and just happen to have similar features because of similar enviroments...

Treat it like a cactus. Same care. Do not over soak them.
