Did Final Fantasy XV Steal Its Characters?

While playing through Catherine: Full Body this month, I couldn't shake the nostalgic feeling that I had met these characters somewhere previously.
Truth be told, I don't think anyone stole anything. With that said, these characters have a lot in common.
